Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Katy44 · 08/04/2007 22:28

Congratulations Kitty!!

Birdiebump · 08/04/2007 23:04

Wahey!! Many congrats to Kitty and welcome to baby Ronnie!!!

Mossie · 09/04/2007 01:16

Kitty that's wonderful news, congratulations, you must be so pleased and relieved he is finally here!! I'm well made up for you! And back here so quickly with the news! You certainly waited long enough!

Foxy I got dh to set up the bed & moses basket & telly in our bedroom, along with a lovely rocking chair that we got from Ikea which I am going to use for bfing, hopefully. Dh has trained it onto the telly for me, so plenty of cricket!! Although if our performance today is anything to go by I think I'm gonna have to pick another team..!

I think Runningal is having or has had her little one by now...

It's only me left then! Still by this time next week by hook or by crook (or by crochet hook lol) I'll have a baby too.

TheBlonde · 09/04/2007 08:08

Congrats Kitty

Good luck Mossie - baby will soon be here

Mossie · 09/04/2007 10:06

Still here!

Blonde have you decided on a name yet?

DollyPopsOut · 09/04/2007 10:11

Well done kitty - that's fantastic news. Can't wait to see a photo.

Runningal - hope you are underway as well.

Mossy - am thinking of you. I am lucky so far in that BF has never hurt me with either child (well, not until DD1 bit me but that's a story for another time!) I think it can be done without pain, so don't worry about that. There is loads of great support on here for BF and I have got some very good books on it which you are welcome to borrow if you like. It is time consuming but so worth it. That said, I have never done FF so perhaps that is time consuming as well! Once Bertie is here, you will relish the chance to sit for hours gazing at him as you feed. I am so excited for you now, can't wait for Tues (bet you can't either!)

As for the weight, well I am back in my (bigger) pre preg jeans, although everything is very wobbly and loose. Once DD2 is 6 weeks old I am going to start gentle exercising and going to Weight watchers, as it really works. Clearly, my norkage is ENORMOUS (I reckon a 34J should just about keep those ladies under control) so tight tops etc out, but if you can't have enormous boobs with a 3 week old baby, when can you?

Have a great day everyone. Sun's out here again and looks like another good day in the offing. Thank God for maternity leave - we've got all summer to enjoy! XXXX

LunarSea · 09/04/2007 10:55

Congratulations Kitty. Another late baby, another quick labour - I wonder if anyone's ever worked out a correlation between gestation and duration of labour? Hope you're taking note Mossie and are prepared for things to happen fast if they do kick off for you.

Fox - I'm actually feeding more off the easy side to hopefully build that one up - other one is still hard for him to latch on and painful when he does. Not quite as bad last night though, so hopefully things are gradually improving in that department.

Congrats kitty - glad it all went to plan ....all good things come to those who wait

Can't wait to see pics x x

foxcub · 09/04/2007 11:45

Lunar - mine were really painful for 3 weeks and then all of a sudden stopped hurting (although I still get the occassional crap latch). Monti takes 12 minutes to feed from my slow boob and 6 minutes to feed from the fast one LOL!! strange

I actually love feeding him now, after nearly giving up two weeks ago

divastrop · 09/04/2007 11:55

CONGRATULATIONS KITTY!!!!!

glad everything went well

i cant believe Elsie is a month old already.once theyve been born, time flies by.im still trying to get my head around the fact that my little baby boy is going to school in september,it only seems like 5 minutes since he was born.

divastrop · 09/04/2007 12:01

who started this thread anyway?
mossie-you may yet outlast it.you can call the next one 'in the immortal words of eric carmen..... 'all by myself' '

foxcub · 09/04/2007 12:06

Diva - Monti's first month has flown by as well - just can't believe he's already one month old and will be 6 weeks in 8 days

Mossy - all eyes are on you now girl!!!

LunarSea · 09/04/2007 14:33

No Mossie today?

divastrop · 09/04/2007 15:59

she posted at 10.06 this morning

kiwibella · 09/04/2007 16:06

congrats Kitty - well done on that record delivery!! Hope that you are doing ok. You too Mossie... and any others waiting??

Loved your comments about bf Dolly and Fox - I'm so glad I perservered too because I totally love feeding my bubs and the excuse to sit and gaze at her while she gets to work!!

Ugh... too much talk about body sizes and enlarged breasts!! I feel frumpy and as for those lopsided breasts.... hopefully I will feel good about my body again.

LunarSea · 09/04/2007 16:06

Oops - missed that one!

Diva, I'm thinking that if I'm still here in time for another thread, it'll be a verse from "How Soon is Now?" by the Smiths.

When you say it's gonna happen "now",
When exactly do you mean?
See I've already waited too long
And all my hope is gone...

Nah not really, bit depressing that, think I'll stick with "all by myself"!!

I can't believe that some of you have babies that are over a month old, that's amazing! Where does the time go?

Dolly, I have a pair of size eighteen jeans that I'm hoping I'll fit into soon after I give birth, I'd like to get back to a 14 eventually but whenever I've wanted to lose weight in the past I've just used the Atkins diet and I believe it's not too healthy if you're bfing?

Still I bet all the running around after a newborn will help slim me up soon enough!!

I'm sort of looking forward to tomorrow, and I have some trepidation as well. Tbh, the last three days my ms has come back (it's come back intermittently throughout this pgcy), I've been tired and grouchy and fed up and I'm of a mind now where I'm starting to feel quite cheered by the prospect that I could be induced tomorrow evening.

How fickle am I? Must be the hormones!!

Has anyone seen Snakes on a Plane btw? We just got it out on Sky, and I was pmsl, it's very funny with some quite scary snakes!

divastrop · 09/04/2007 17:01

i think callie's jordi was 3 months old yesterday

Mossie · 09/04/2007 17:03

Omg, that's amazing, three months!

Maybe I shouldn't be so ready to get him out, time'll go quickly enough when he is out!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 09/04/2007 17:36

Mossie, really good luck for tomorrow. Have you decided that you're going to be induced?

Ronnie is driving me a bit round the bend. He hasn't really slept since he was born. He came out screaming and has been screaming ever since. All he wants to do is eat. He does really stinky farts!! I think he's got tummy troubles, might have to try a dummy and see if that helps.

Is there any news of runningal?

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 09/04/2007 17:36

Opps, must change my name.
