Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Mossy - glad you are feeling and sounding more sure of what YOU want! Your dp will be so overwhelmed when Bertie arrives I bet he will feel like a right idiot over the way he behaved.

Well done on the walk Kitty! I don't think i could do that even now when i'm not pg! Our dog has given up waiting for me - he disappears now!

diva - where are the photos??? Show me, show me!!!!

divastrop · 07/04/2007 17:53

im not with it atall today,i started reading the latest messages and wondering what the hell everyone was talking about, then i realsied i didnt actually read any new posts this morning i just posted that bit about photos

im going to have a fag then bath children then come on here when they are all asleep, even if it is 11pm.

LunarSea · 07/04/2007 17:53

Kitty - be careful with that backache... it might be the start of something! (She says, knowing that for the rest of her life she'll never be able to tell DH her back aches without him asking if another baby is about to appear)

foxcub · 07/04/2007 18:41

Lunar - how are you feeling now and how is the baby? Recovered from your dramatic birth?

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 07/04/2007 19:12

I'm having a lot more crampy pains now.
I haven't bothered timing them, but they are becoming more painful I guess.

Bring it on, that's what I say!!!!

divastrop · 07/04/2007 21:27

mossie-at your dh.i can empathise with you over the pressure to have the baby on a certain day.by the end of day 2 of my induction dp was getting stressed cos it was looking like i may not have the baby before my mum had to return to work so he might have missed the birth.so i really pushed for them to break my waters instead of doing nothing on the friday.dont get me wrong,i was getting impatient myself by then and i knew it was inevitable i would end up with the drip, but its your first baby, theres no medical reson for induction as yet,you dont have other children to look after,so you should wait till you feel induction is right for you.

i just hope your dh is more supportive of you when you are about to have the baby than my dp was.

kitty praying this is it for you!
Waiting eagerly for news

LaidbackinEngland · 07/04/2007 23:05

Come on Kitty - going to bed now but hoping to wake up tomorrow to some news from you

Mossie/runningal - fingers crossed for you both too x x

runningal · 08/04/2007 08:28

I think this is it ladies. Woke up this morning with pains and have been timing them every 10mins or so since 6.30 am.

I don't think anything will be happening quickly - it took me 4 days from this stage with my first baby, not even worth getting the TENS machine out for them yet, but hopefully the start of something.

Hope things developed for you overnight Kitty - can't wait to hear your news, and good luck Mossie, I'm thinking of you and sending lots of labour vibes your way. Thanks for the positive thoughts, ladies

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 08/04/2007 09:08

Well ladies I'm STILL here. Not sure what's going on. Cramps from yesterday died down in the later evening and I went to bed. I was woken by them again at 2am and timed them until about 4 and they were 5 mins apart and real toe curlers.
I phoned my Doula and she came by about 4.30, then everything completely stopped. I was well pissed off and sent her home. I went back to bed but was woken at 6am by another very strong pain and have been having them ever since. The trouble is that they are irregular both in lebgth and frequency. However much they hurt I know they they are not lasting long enough yet.

I am very tired.

It would be lovely to have an Easter baby. Who knows perhaps he'll still come today. I've got another appt at the hospital for monitoring so I'll get them to poke again.

I'm developing serious 'I think I'll go straight for an epidural' thoughts here.

Runnigal REALLY good luck. Perhaps we'll both have them today.

Mossie, how are you today?

LunarSea · 08/04/2007 09:24

Ooh - sounds like two more babies on the way. Come on Mossie - you don't want be be the last one on this thread!

Fox - apart from a severe case of lopsidedness, and right boob being pretty sore a result, I'm actually feeling surprisingly ok. I suppose in some ways a rapid birth like that is less physically draining than being put through the mill for hours. Am a bit tired this morning though after Toby decided to hold an all night feeding festival!

OP posts:
muppethasakitten · 08/04/2007 09:58

Kitty and runningal - hope all goes well for you today - come on Easter babies...

Kitty - you know i'm a fan of epidurals but even I never thought i'd hear you say that

Happy Easter everyone.... Mossy? are you around too??

Diva - got the pics of Elsie - emailed you back - they are sooooo sweet!!

DollyPopsOut · 08/04/2007 10:12

Good luck Kitty and Runninggal for today - hope there are some more babies by tonight. Kitty, if you need an epidural, go for it! Can't wait to hear your news.

Mossybuddy, only 2 more days max for you darling until you get some action. I#ll be thinking of you. THe shoes sound great. I always find hairslides cheer me up, so I am even more shallow .

Happy easter everyone. Have a good day

LunarSea · 08/04/2007 10:20

Perhaps we're going to have 3 Easter babies - Mossie is usually on before this in the morning!

OP posts:
Mossie · 08/04/2007 11:07

Morning all, sorry to disappoint you but I'm still here with nowt happening! I just had a lie in as I didn't get to sleep until quite late!

Happy Easter and I hope the Easter Bunny brings you all lots of delicious chocolate eggs... and for Kitty and Runningal there might be more "new life" around too!!

I'm feeling loads better today thank you, I sat dh down and had a big long chat with him, and managed to get what I was feeling across, he is now agreed to be much more supportive whatever I decide on Tuesday.

Although funnily enough, I woke up in the middle of the night with chronic wrist pain, and there was part of me that thought, "actually I do want this baby out now," so maybe I'm just fickle . But I am pleased now because I know whatever I decide, I'll decide it, iyswim.

Dolly, hairslides are great too maybe we are both just shallow, I find there's very little a cute accessory can't cure, actually it's probably just that I lead a very sheltered life!!

Kitty and Runningal I really hope this is it for both of you, how lovely it would be to have two Easter babies!! Kitty are you going to get them to do another sweep today do you think, see if it kicks things off?

I have just had a call from my bezzie mate, I had totally forgotten she recently passed her driving test, she is staying with her dp and his Mum in Liverpool today and phoned me to say she was coming over, I was thinking it would take her quite some time on public transport on Easter Sunday... but of course she has her car, she'll be here in about 40 minutes!!! I had better get out of my dressing gown and scrape the worst of the crap off...

Will pop back later to see if there's any baby news.

Diva I got your photos this time thanks very much, Elsie is very cute, your dd looks very proficient at holding her too!!

divastrop · 08/04/2007 12:00

kitty-i can totally relate to how you feel, when i was on the labour ward having my waters broken i remember thinking 'hopefully the drip wont work and i'll have to have a section, then i dont have to go through the pushing'but i was remembering the pain without remembering the wondeful effects of the bodys natural painkillers, and once things got going it was 'oh yeah, its not actually that bad!'

think positive,my week early 5th baby practically fell out,so imagine what your very-overdue 6th baby will be like

divastrop · 08/04/2007 12:12

mossie/dolly-i find accessories just dont do it for me anymore(unless im buying them for dd1),i am getting pld now and finding that soft furnishings cheer me up ore.im sooo turning into my mother.

runningal · 08/04/2007 12:56

Hello again,

As expected, nothing is happening very quickly here. The contractions are still very irregular, around 10 mins or longer apart, although getting a bit more painful. I've just had a warm bath and am wearing my tens machine now and dh is rushing around after me which is great!

Kitty - hope the hospital appt goes well, and things really kick off for you.

Mossie - I'm glad you're feeling much better about it now and dh is being more supportive.

Have a good Easter Sunday, all.

Mossie · 08/04/2007 15:13

Diva, soft furnishings - when I was in TK's yesterday I saw a lovely glass lamp that you put a candle in, would have looked great in the back yard at night, but in the end I fought the urge!!

Runningal... hopefully by now you are well on your way, good luck!!!!

Started to watch the cricket and once again England are being absolutely rubbish so I think I'm going to sit out back with a beer instead!

Mossie · 08/04/2007 20:23

Where has everyone gone? Off to have babies?

I know I could pop over to the postnatal thread but I am trying to delude myself that once he's out, I'm going to immediately go back to a size fourteen (possibly slimmer of course ), breast feeding will be easy and not at all painful and that he'll sleep through from about day three...

...and I have a funny feeling that what I might read on postnatal might end my delusion pretty quick smart!!!

Mossie · 08/04/2007 20:44

Right... I'm going off to watch the cricket again, don't know why, it's depressing stuff but there you go!! See you all tomorrow... if there's anyone left.......

morocco · 08/04/2007 21:29

good labour vibes everyone

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 08/04/2007 21:51

hello all

Ronnie arrived at 4.22 this afternoon weighing 8lb 4oz

Labour took 2hrs 20 mins, it hurt but no tears only grazes, that's a first for me.

foxcub · 08/04/2007 21:52

I think Runningal and Kitty are having their babies - oooohhh!!!! Good luck!!!

Come on Mossie, you're next!!

Anyway Moss, you'll be glad to know that when you're BFing at 2am, there is loads of cricket on TV all through the night on BBC1

Lunar - Can you build up the milk in your smaller boob? My boobs are different in that the right on is very free flowing and quick and the left is slow, so I always have to put Monti on the slow one first - otherwise he'll fill up from the fast and easy boob and ignore the slow one. Its weird how they differ isn't it? IKWYM about lomng labours - they can really exxhaust you. In fact I think labour is the worst preparation for parenthood in that you start parent hood feeling exhausted and sore!

Had my bookclub today - it was strange being with grown ups as I've been babymooning for a month now. Monti was very well behaved and impressed them all with his quiet contentedness

Anyomne else overdosed on chocolate or is it just me?

foxcub · 08/04/2007 21:53

Kitty - !!!

Wow - am very impressed with your fast labour and that you're back on MN so soon!!!

can't wait to see the DVD and pics of Ronnie
