Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Oh and second child, too !

glitteryvibes · 04/05/2017 16:44

This thread moves so fast!
I have my booking appointment in a couple of weeks when I'll be 9 weeks, not really sure why I left it so late to ring them, the phone call took all of 2 minutes and they booked me straight in without having to go through gp.
Feeling super sick today but only retching and no vomming so at least I'm not hungry! Just woken from a 3 hour nap, so thankful for my odd half days right now otherwise I'd have been dead in my feet at work this afternoon.
For all of those who already have children, I couldn't imagine feeling like this and dealing with small children, I think you are all amazing!

Totally wanting a scone now pause mentioned them...

TipTop333 · 04/05/2017 16:45

Lapin and Derry i hope you are both okay and that the cramps are just a healthy dose of constipation.

I've been on the strawberry cables today (The filled laces kind of ones, the packet calls them pencils) and they have hit a spot.

Anyone else around 9 weeks experiencing a change in symptoms?

@Brens13 @MontyPants yep pretty crappy day.

Decided to order a Chinese tonight as my treat lol can't be dealing with cooking and washing up. Bring on 5.30 when it opens lol

QueenEnid · 04/05/2017 16:52

Thanks ladies and hi @Je11yBe4n ! Nice to see someone local 😊.

Do we have a Facebook group set up? I'm happy to start one if not? X

TipTop333 · 04/05/2017 16:58

Enid it was discussed back in thread 1 but I don't think we really got anywhere.

I would be happy to help set up/join but it would have to be a secret group (not sure I want to announce my pregnancy with 'TipTop has joined Due in December 2017'!) They're then tricky because you have to invite via email but as I said, happy to help!

Tiptop. I'm 9.3 weeks and since 9 have felt a lot better.
Nausea has eased bar a few episodes of heaving randomly in the evening. I've managed to eat more normal foods again although I'm starving. And not as tired anymore...for now!
I'm hoping this is normal, wasn't expecting to feel okay (ish) until at least 12 weeks!

Je11yBe4n · 04/05/2017 17:01

@QueenEnid no idea about Facebook group, the thread moves so fast I miss everything!
Really want some strawberry laces now though... 😳

Chamonix1 · 04/05/2017 17:01

Someone made a Facebook group and nobody really joined it. Not sure whether it's taken off since.

Je11yBe4n · 04/05/2017 17:03

I'm part of a fbook group from 2013 (we're still going strong).
I can't remember how it was set up but it's a secret group so you need to be invited by admins to join it!

fishfingerSarnies · 04/05/2017 17:12

I have my booking in appointment now for in a few weeks it's at 9am so will be a tight job from the school run but nevermind don't really want to have to call to change it as you can only call on Wednesdays and just seems like a right bloody faff.
I'm also going to have to take my 2 year old which won't be fun as he never sits still and is a noisy pain in the bum. Ah well hoping to get as much of the form filled out before hand so I can just get in and out asap.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 04/05/2017 17:19

I'm on a FB group from 2015. It got going after twelve week scans I think

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 17:22

I'd be happy to join a fbk group, but as others say it would have to be private now or I couldn't join for probably another 6 weeks. Maybe we keep going on here until everyone's had their scans / announcements who wants to join?!

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 17:23

I'm on a group from 2015 too - such a lovely bunch of ladies!

macsworth · 04/05/2017 17:23

Tiptop I'm 9+5 and definitely feeling less tired the last couple of days. Nausea slightly subsiding but lots of indigestion today which is new!

BirdBrain85 · 04/05/2017 17:26

Saw my midwife today and now feeling very stressed with all the listeria guidelines. So, they're saying you can't eat chilled precooked meat/food (like packaged ham and chicken) or premade sandwiches. Therefore not really sure what I'm supposed to eat for lunch, have basically broken those rules multiple times in the last 8 weeks too as often pick up premade sandwiches. The thought of cooking myself something for lunch every night literally exhausts me. Marmite sandwiches it is then!?

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 17:28

Bird no ham sandwiches?! I'm not sure I got that advice last time. I definitely had a lot of chilled pre cooked meat at any rate. And runny eggs. And rare ish steaks! Oops.

BirdBrain85 · 04/05/2017 17:31

I've never known a pregnant woman turn down a sandwich either mama! Basically you're looking at a hard cheese sandwich or tuna (but only 2 cans a week she said - though I read 4 before). Hmm You've made me feel a bit better though as I had some rare roast beef at lunch (didn't want to kick up a fuss as was with people who don't know I'm preg but should have) - was fretting like made it would do baby harm.

TipTop333 · 04/05/2017 18:00

That's definitely new advice to me! What would I do without a Tesco meal deal for lunch?!

Macsworth and chamonix glad to hear you both have easing symptoms too - in 9+2 but have just felt a bit 'different' - more spritely maybe?

Oysterbabe · 04/05/2017 18:00

I'm on a FB group from my Jan 16 group. It's a secret group so nothing about it will appear anywhere on your FB.

Lixon · 04/05/2017 18:28

I'd definitely be up for a secret Facebook group - had this for my previous pregnancy and found it much easier to follow even if a bit sad to leave after 14 weeks. the one originally set up (I can't remember by who?) was private but not secret I think, but email adding isn't too much of a problem. I am still at work but can try setting one up later if no one else has done/we can't change the existing one.

I don't eat red meat but eat pre-prepared sandwiches most days at the moment, that sounds very strict! My midwife told me not to eat peanuts or runny eggs last time round, both of which are out of date guidelines.. Have you read expecting better? That has really straightforward and clear advice I found.

Mumoftheark · 04/05/2017 18:31

I'm still a part of my 2012 and 2014 groups on Facebook. Our threads on here died down after a few months once our babies arrived but it's lovely to see each other's babies grow up

BirdBrain85 · 04/05/2017 18:41

Tip I know, I live off the meal deals too!! I think I'm in mourning right now.

Lixon Yes, I'm feeling very overwhelmed with it all. Just seems very OTT to me, but it's so hard when it's what they've recommended. I'm really upset about the beef incident. And now with the prepacked sandwiches on top I feel really bad for my baby Sad hope I haven't done it any harm.

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 18:49

I had a triple chicken sandwich from the co-op today....

MontyPants · 04/05/2017 19:09

@Pauseplayrepeat think the scone thing was my fault. I had one the other day and it was amazing. I was going to have a chicken wrap with salad for my tea, but I really can't face it. Think I might need to have a wander over to the shop...

Anyone else feeling dizzy? I'm really struggling to stay upright at the moment! I'm 9+3 today
