Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Bird who told you that? I really don't think it's true. I'm eating ham everyday at the moment, that's not going to change!

Tip I am 9 weeks on Saturday and my symptoms are definitely changing and becoming more manageable. My all day constant nausea has gone, I'm now sick a couple of times a day- normally when I first get up and then after dinner, with a lunchtime puke thrown in occasionally for good measure. The rest of the time I feel much better than I was. I'm also less tired, though that hasn't been too bad, my main problem has been horrendous nausea.

I wouldn't say I'm feeling great yet, but definitely a lot better.

I am also a lot more bloated now, I really need some new clothes. My jeans have to be undone from midday onwards and my bras are getting embarrassingly small!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 04/05/2017 19:10

My scan appointment has arrived! 16th Jun. Exactly a month after my early scan.

Zaberwocky · 04/05/2017 19:10

I NEED strawberry laces.

But I can't think of anything more vile to bring back up again Envy

Ugh! Must try to catch up. Interview went well, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. The sickness tablets are now being really hit and miss Sad not much wants to stay put.

Hope everyone is doing okay!

Zaberwocky · 04/05/2017 19:12

Monty YES! To being dizzy. I've been getting nearly straight into bed to avoid falling over when I get in from work.

leighdinglady · 04/05/2017 19:14

Good heartbeat!!! Also measuring three days further along so EdD is 18th not 21st

The bottom blob is the baby. The top blob is a yolk sac. Apparently the fact that the outline to the black is so bright White is a good sign. It means the hormoanes are really strong. It's called a halo. I didn't know that

Just thinking about listeriosis and beef. I always went by the thought that it's on the surface of meat so with steak/joint you'll killing it off as you cook it. But with mince - like a burger - that should be cooked through really well as you're chopping the bugs into the burger.

Does that make sense? Am I deluded?!

BirdBrain85 · 04/05/2017 19:17

Chocolate my midwife Confused it just seems crazy. My mum and I spent about 30 mins trying to work out what I can put in a sandwich (boiled egg, home cooked chicken and tuna). But I don't think it's realistic at all!

That's brilliant Leigh! You have a cute little jelly bean 😊

TootsyBella84 · 04/05/2017 19:19

This thread moves so quickly! I'm up for a Facebook page if it can be secret.

I had KFC for tea, the boneless dipping feast thing. It was amazing!!!

I now have these skittles but have only managed a few. How cool though?! Grin

Leigh I'm so pleased for you!! Great scan pic - so pleased all is well.

Mama No, you're absolutely right! After a lot of obsessive googling (ahem) I found out that the risk is pretty low in beef/steak - UNLESS it's minced, because then the listeria is potentially all the way through. Obviously there's nothing I can do now, so I'm reassuring myself the risk is low... and even if I did get infected at this stage it says there's only a 10% chance of it harming baby.

This pregnancy stuff is tough!!

TootsyBella84 · 04/05/2017 19:22

Ah great photo Leigh😍

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 19:22

Excellent pic leigh so pleased everything is OK Smile

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 19:24

Bird I do tend to change from medium rare to medium but I can't bring myself to do well done!

ChocolateRaisin · 04/05/2017 19:25

I think we are ok Bird, main NHS guidelines say ham and pre cooked meats are fine. It's personal to everyone I think- some people have undercooked red meat, a glass or two of wine etc, it's about weighing up our own concerns of the risk.

I'm definitely going to continue eating ham and shop sandwiches!

That's reassuring thanks mama - to be honest what I read is that it's very rare if beef, and it's more pork and lamb that are the culprits. After this scare though I think it will probably be a long time before I eat any beef LOL.

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 19:27

Leigh super lovely photo!

BirdBrain85 · 04/05/2017 19:27

Oh thank the lord Chocolate!!! Her information is perhaps out of date then, as yours says 2017 - good enough for me!! Smile

MotherofUnicorns · 04/05/2017 19:58

Evening all!
Just about to order a curry for my dinner as DH is out and i cannot be bothered to cook.
Had a crazy headache at work today and had to turn down ibuprofen and pretend i 'preferred' paracetemol..... then stressed about taking that. Then thought my headache was a sign something was up. Then i just gave up!!
Up for FB group too if its private, let us know if anyone gets on to setting it up.
Lovely scan pics everyone as well - i really want another one now.
Midwife appt on Monday, i am going to ask for an epu scan to see if the heamotoma is still there.

GadgetgirlUk · 04/05/2017 20:09

Lovely scan photo @Leigh, congrats x

ScotsLamb · 04/05/2017 20:11

After a small throw up this morning I felt much better until 3pm and it was back to nausea when I moved. OH not home for dinner tonight and I don't fancy cooking.
I think listeria is very difficult to get. We are farmers so I have a higher risk than most but I've yet to get it and I don't know anyone who has.
Just make sure your pre packed cooked meat isn't from the deli counter and any meat at home is cooked to the recommended temperature. Just another thing to think about! I can't keep up with what we are allowed and not allowed.
Anyone else have first midwife appointment tomorrow?

QueenEnid · 04/05/2017 20:32
