Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Welcome Enid Smile

Mrsbluebell17 · 04/05/2017 03:21

Annie I hope you're ok and that the sickness reduces soon.

Angielka · 04/05/2017 07:27

My next scan's on 19th too macsworth Smile

Welcome Enid!

Oh Annie that sounds extreme Shock puts my moaning about 5 times a day into perspective. But I'm sooooo sick of feeling sick. 9+5 today and again sat on my stairs willing myself to go to work...

leighdinglady · 04/05/2017 07:39

Morning all. I have my first midwife appointment today and our early scan this evening.

I don't know how to feel. Since we lost our baby in January we've not really allowed ourselves to get excited about this one. We don't even talk about it much. We're too scared to jinx it or let ourselves get attached. I'm really hoping a healthy scan will allow us to accept that it really is real (irrational fear that in making it up!) and help up to move on.

Then we just have to get through a 12 week scan without a nervous breakdown (that's when they spotted the Edwards syndrome last time)

Wish me luck!

ScotsLamb · 04/05/2017 07:41

First vomit from morning sickness today on a very important day at work when we are showing the department as a department of good practice with bacon rolls provided. Will have to hide from them. Let's hope I can survive the drive!!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 04/05/2017 07:45

Good luck Leigh. I know exactly what you mean. Me and DH are very subdued about the whole thing at the moment.

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 07:47

I expect what I'm about to say to be the trigger for the worst nausea I've ever felt, but.....Has anyone else not had any sickness yet? I'm 6+4 and am a little concerned by the lack of that as a symptom as everyone else seems to be suffering so badly - sorry!

fishfingerSarnies · 04/05/2017 08:04

BRens I'm 6+4 too and no sickness yet. Very worried as I had uncontrollable sickness with my last pregnancy. Can't bring myself to tell my GP I'm pregnant as I'm sure it's all going to come to nothing. Can't believe I still like coffee and tea.

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 08:09

fishfinger I'm pleased it's not just me, though fingers crossed it's all ok for both of us. Maybe your body has adapted slightly since the last time? I'm going to try and embrace it for now and just hope the tiredness, sore boobs, occasional cramps and hunger are symptoms enough. (definitely making me more keen for an early scan tho!)

Bisquick · 04/05/2017 08:10

Hugs leighdinlady and DoctorDonna. I can relate. We lost our bean in January as well, and I'm having to try very hard to keep the anxiety at bay. But we need to stay calm for the sakes of these new foetuses, and keep hopes up. (That said I pretty much wept through my early scan yesterday, so not sure how much I follow my own advice).

TootsyBella84 · 04/05/2017 08:22

I know exactly how you feel Leigh and Donna after losing babies in January and August but after seeing the heartbeat on my scan the other day I cried so much and couldn't help to get excited. I'm trying to embrace it for all it's worth just now!

Good luck with scans today xx

Miami81 · 04/05/2017 09:12

Brens and fishfingers. I am feeling vaguely nauseous most days since Sunday, but I am freaking out as my boobs aren't even close to as sore as they were in previous pregnancies (2 mc's) and I haven't been that tired. I was exhausted on Tuesday but have been fine since. I am trying to tell myself that it is all just fluctuations and that I still feel pregnant, but it is so hard. I am 6+2 and I just really really want to not be able to keep my eyes open, or have a small bit of vomit just to make me feel better. Super weird I know.

TipTop333 · 04/05/2017 09:13

I wish I could get excited. Something is stopping me though and I have no idea what! I had the scan at 6+5, all was fine etc and I know the stats are well in my favour but I just can't help thinking something is wrong!

So I'm going to take a seat next on the nervous and anxious bench. Budge up!

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 09:13

Brens I'm 6+2 and not a peep of sickness. No sore boobs, nothing. This is very much like my first though. My pregnancies seem to manifest as odd emotional behaviour and some tiredness. And random night waking. And hunger.

ExPresidents · 04/05/2017 09:21

So I think DS has chickenpox Confused I had it as a child, does anyone know if it's still a problem for me?

Carley27 · 04/05/2017 09:32

6+5 and not had any morning sickness whatsoever either. Boobs are a bit tender but that's it.

Brens it's making me keen for an early scan too! I wasn't going to but 12wks seems so far away..

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 09:32

Thanks miami and mamaloves I think I shall just embrace if for now then and try to stop worrying. I definitely don't feel exactly tip top, but I wouldn't say nauseous yet. I think I'll stay on TipTop's bench for now though! Grin

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 09:34

Carley I know, I wasn't going to, and can't really book one until next Sat at the earliest (so at 8 weeks), and that then feels quite close to 12 so should I just hang on?! I don't think I'm going to be able to though....Let me know what you decide!

Lixon · 04/05/2017 09:39

Sorry to hear you're feeling so bad Annie but glad the medication is helping. Hopefully you'll feel more normal soon.

Leighdinglady today will probably be really emotional but I'm keeping everything crossed that all goes well and you get to see s little heartbeat later on. I was amazed at how difficult I found both my scan and midwife app (was expecting former but not latter) but they do mark s milestone and hopefully you'll feel stronger afterwards coming up to the 12w scan (which I am dreading for the same reason). Thinking of you.

Tip and Brens I'm exactly the same I've had my scan so I should feel relaxed, but I've been feeling very paranoid! Didn't feel nauseous yesterday after having two very nauseous days, but boobs still sore and have had a lot of progesterone bloating ...

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 09:54
fishfingerSarnies · 04/05/2017 09:58

Chicken pox isn't a problem if you're immune my two have just had it the other week so I did frantic googling.

macsworth · 04/05/2017 10:14

Angielka due date and scan date twins!!

Can I join the bench? I've got Salt and Vinegar Squares!

leighdinglady · 04/05/2017 10:16

Thanks Lixon. We're in the midwife waiting room now. It's weird being back here. Dajarvu (sp) Hopefully I'll keep it together!
