Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Hope everything goes well leigh

And take a pew mac, plenty of room for people with crisps!

MummyHenman2be · 04/05/2017 10:21

8 weeks today yay! Don't know why but it feels like a milestone.

Nausea getting worse but apparently hormones peak 8-9 weeks so all in line with that. Not been sick and snacking on crunchy carbs to get me through. Crisps are my friend. My best friend. 😂

Hope everyone gets through today relatively well and not feeling too bad!

As for nicknames, my Mum is calling Baby Henman 'Gummy Bear' as that is what it looked like at our early scan on Sunday!

LapinR0se · 04/05/2017 10:27

expeesidents if you had it as a child you should have the antibody and you should be ok even if your child gets it. I would recommend calling your gp though just to check

Mrsbluebell17 · 04/05/2017 10:31

Hey all 👋🏼
I'm also 8 weeks today henman. Excited but nervous still. Can't wait for our follow up scan a week on Sunday to find out if it's twins or not.

TootsyBella84 · 04/05/2017 10:35

8 weeks today too and look. We have a little lego brick with teeny tiny hands 👐😂😍

That's a great nickname mummyhenman

ExPresidents · 04/05/2017 10:56

Thanks fishfinger and lapin.

7 weeks tomorrow, I had forgotten how long the first trimester seems! I won't even have my initial doctor's appointment for midwife referral til I'm 9 weeks, so God knows when my scan will end up being! Hopefully the doctor will refer me to the midwife and the hospital at the same time rather than waiting for the midwife to do it.

I've got major dizziness today, even when sitting still, I was the same first time round but much earlier on so it's a relief to feel it now!

leighdinglady · 04/05/2017 11:05

Just got back. It was the same midwife as last time. She said "I was so pleased to see you name again" I'm a bit overwhelmed now. Scan at 6.30!

Mumoftheark · 04/05/2017 11:26

I'm so tired I can't function. My house is a state and I'm neglecting my children.
6 weeks today

TootsyBella84 · 04/05/2017 11:30

good luck with your scan leigh

mumoftheark if it makes you feel any better, my kids and house are neglected too. I'm only just managing the school run! I'm letting mine sit in front of tablets and the TV with no guilt 🙈

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 11:41

mumoftheark don't worry I'm exhausted and neglecting house and DH too, no DC yet to neglect.

Told my male boss today that I wasn't feeling tip top and pretty exhausted.....he said that he'd felt unmotivated yesterday too (not really the same thing, but) and maybe we were coming down with the same bug....Lol. Umm....probably not!

TipTop333 · 04/05/2017 12:55

My house is probably a health hazard right now but I must be horizontal in the evenings, especially after the epic nightmare bedtimes my toddler is putting us through so oh well it will have to wait. Hopefully it can wait 3 weeks.

Despite my good scan yesterday I've started spotting today and am having really bad cramps. I'm trying to think positive and say the spotting is because of the internal they did for the scan yesterday.

LapinR0se · 04/05/2017 13:56

I have bad cramping today too Derry and I did wonder if it was because of the internal scan

derryjojo · 04/05/2017 13:59

Lapin where is your cramping? Mine seems quite high, below my rib cage but still around the belly iykwim

LapinR0se · 04/05/2017 14:04

Mine is right down in my lower abdomen in the centre

Mumoftheark · 04/05/2017 14:34

@Brens13 @TootsyBella84 lol glad it's not just me with neglected children. My youngest has had a sickness bug this week and DH works away Monday - Friday so I'm pretty much dead.

Today I've fallen down the stairs ...... twice 🙈 went food shopping without my purse 😡 got home from 2nd food shop and dropped a box of 12 eggs on the floor -ALL of which smashed everywhere, and of course the ONLY thing my 2 year old wanted to eat for lunch was scrambled eggs. Having a good day so far lol.

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 15:15

Oh @Mumoftheark we've all had days like that. If only you could pour yourself a large glass of something! Wine Shame you couldn't rescue some of the ready-scrambled eggs Wink. Tomorrow can only be a better day Smile

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 15:15

Also can't decide if I'm starting to get pregnancy nausea or if I've just eaten too many strawberry laces..... Blush

Zaberwocky · 04/05/2017 15:33

Brens OH MY GOD STRAWBERRY LACES!

MontyPants · 04/05/2017 15:44

Oops mumoftheark sounds like you're having a pretty crappy day! Maybe some chocolate would help?? I just want to eat cream cakes today. Thankfully I don't just keep things like that in the fridge, and I can't bake!

Brens13 · 04/05/2017 15:48

GrinGrin zaber I just couldn't help myself when I saw them in the shop yesterday....especially when they're 3 packs for £1 lol.

mamalovesviolet · 04/05/2017 15:50

My DD1 was sent home from nursery yesterday and my parents had to look after her as I couldn't get out of work. They look after her on Thursdays anyway and took her to the GP for me this morning. She has tonsillitis Sad and I can't get home till much later this evening as I have a work do. And I'm so tired! Up since 5 as she was couldn't stop coughing. I want to go hooooooome!

pauseplayrepeat · 04/05/2017 16:21

Monty get yourself to the shop for cream cakes! I had a scone this morning with jam and cream after someone on here mentioned one a few days ago and never has a scone tasted so good.

Another one neglecting children, house and husband here too. If I'm 'cooking', kids are eating salad wraps or toasties. Raw meat or cooking smells = retch. At most can cope with microwave meals...but nothing involving pesto! Total aversion to pesto in all of my pregnancies. The body is so odd.
