Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Where are you lapin ? I'm in Belgium but my gynae is English and although I speak French I have to say it's a relief to talk about some things in my own language!

glastogal · 03/05/2017 12:22

Just booked my 12 week scan 😆😆 22/5 - feels like forever away but it's a relief to have it booked 👍👍

Southy84 · 03/05/2017 12:27

motherofunicorns I have friends who just seem to "know" they all watch each other like hawks which isn't going to make the hen do I'm going on this weekend very easy.... I had the harmony test with my dd as my result came back as 180 and I just wanted to know either way, they only investigated further if I was 150 or lower so I only just fell outside the bracket. Not sure whether to do it again this time, I think it all depends on what the result comes back as on the scan/blood test, it is quite expensive though and I don't think it's a nhs test here

LapinR0se · 03/05/2017 12:33

I'm in Geneva, my gynae says on his site that he speaks English French and German but we shall see!

Mumoftheark · 03/05/2017 12:42

GP appointment done :) he's requested that I have an early scan as my last pregnancy was a multiple. Not sure if I will get one but we shall see - I do love a scan lol

Carley27 · 03/05/2017 13:34

All go for you today zaber! Hope all goes well x

Ooh maybe I should have bent the truth too Oyster, they will have me a week further on than I am (long cycles too). Although like ScotsLamb I did think I may get my scan earlier Grin

Good luck for today Lapin and Bisquick

Ooh that's exciting Ark - hope you get your scan :)

TootsyBella84 · 03/05/2017 13:43

Haha love it Tootsy

macsworth · 03/05/2017 13:47

Good luck today zaber. I'm due to start a new job in 2.5 weeks by which point I'll be 12 weeks pregnant. I hate where I am now though and needed something new even though financially it's not the best (although I am NHS so still get maternity pay just not enhanced with SMP). It's also good to know I won't have to go back to a job I hate after my mat leave.

No idea when to tell my new employer though!!

Good luck lapin and bisquick

👋🏼 carley and bluebell

scots my midwife was only interested in my LMP date rather than cycle length or Ov date!

Had an on/off headache yesterday and today. Can't work out if it's hormones or I'm coming down with something. Either way, combined with the exhaustion, I can't get anything done!

macsworth · 03/05/2017 13:48

Tootsy that's too cute! I'm still too much of a wimp to buy anything!

LapinR0se · 03/05/2017 14:07

Doctor was absolutely lovely and spoke perfect English.
Scan was great! Measured 6+5 and I am 6+3, and a strong heartbeat flickering away Smile

Brens13 · 03/05/2017 14:10

Excellent. Congratulations Lapin

I'm going to have to book me an early scan now, I just can't wait after hearing about all of yours!

TootsyBella84 · 03/05/2017 14:11

Great news Lapin!

Bisquick · 03/05/2017 14:17

Was so nervous but scan went well. Baby measuring 6+2 and I'm 6+4; saw a strong flickering heartbeat. Couldn't stop the tears, but they were quite lovely. Had to have an internal scan as standard since it's so early.

LapinR0se · 03/05/2017 14:20

Yay Bisquick! We are scan twins

ERog84 · 03/05/2017 14:22

Those that have had early scans.....can you hear the heartbeat??

Bisquick · 03/05/2017 14:32

Erog you can see the flicker of the heartbeat. Technician heard it quickly on low power but said at this stage they don't like throwing high power at the baby when it is so small.

Bisquick · 03/05/2017 14:32

Yay! Congrats Lapin!

Angielka · 03/05/2017 14:38

Woohoo congrats lapin and bisquick Smile

Miami81 · 03/05/2017 14:49

Yay on scans. Well done ladies.
Quick question. In the last two days my afternoons have been punctuated with waves of nausea (morning is fine). I had toast and chicken for lunch which seemed bland enough but am regretting it now. Any tips? It's like awful indigestion. Sipping fizzy water and have had a ginger and lemon tea, but so far only seems to be making it worse. No actual vomiting yet.

Southy84 · 03/05/2017 15:08

Great news lapin and bisquick :)

I am constantly snacking to hold back the nausea miami which probably isn't doing my weight gain any good!

BirdBrain85 · 03/05/2017 15:10

Fab news about the great scans guys!

Just wondering with all of you talking about your LMP. When I went to my clinic they worked my due date out based on the timing of my treatment - so they got the same due date as me, December 9th. But if you go by my LMP which was 8th March I think you get a due date of December 13th...... but my ovulation was short at just 10 days... so does this mean I'll get a duff due date!? I have a letter from the clinic with the more accurate EDD which I will take with me.

macsworth · 03/05/2017 15:22

As far as I know bird it's all guess work until the 12 week scan when they can date more accurately and that's what you then use for your due date.
It's worth taking the letter along, it might be mean they book you in slightly earlier for your 12 week scan.

BirdBrain85 · 03/05/2017 15:38

Ahh thanks for that mac! I read the early scan is very accurate as they can tell by babies features etc how far along they are. Will be interesting to see if my 12 week tallies!

I've got a really tight feeling in my lower abdomen today - not painful but a full type feeling. Do you all think that's okay? 😕

Peachi82 · 03/05/2017 15:50

I have my GP appointment in an hour.
Spent the afternoon slightly panicking because I feel "better" today and had hardly any difficulties managing the first day back in work. I also worked with the strong magnet today, so absolutely terrified that I harmed the foetus, but I booked the instrument months ago and I need the results.
I probably start crying at the GPs. I hope they can help me suggesting something what I can do with work.
