Welcome to the thread Algebraic!
Luci 32weeks. That is very exciting. Not long to go now.
I had my 31wk appointment today and I spoke to the midwife about the pushing pain down into the pubic bone when I walked or turned in bed. It has got worse over the last few days. Even just walking from my desk to the printer yesterday in the office was agony. Midwife is quite confident that it is PGP. If it gets worse then I will ask for a referral for physio but in the meantime, I will endeavour to remember to keep me legs together getting out car/bed/etc.
Fundal height was still close to the 95th percentile at 33cm but at least it was following a straight line from the 28 wk measurements. GTT results were a pass but very close to the highest maximum level so midwife is going to carefully monitor the 34wk fundal results as then I might need a growth scan. Worried I am going to have a big baby! Iron levels were also borderline so now I have to take supplements. I have felt very pregnant the last few days than ever before.
On the bright side, baby's heartbeat was nice to listen to again. She kicked the doppler which had us in giggles.
Dh ordered a pacapod to have as a changing backpack. I like the idea of being able to take out a pod and take that if you don't fancy taking the rest of the contents of the whole changing bag.
I also ordered a Phillips Avent Complete Starter set with steriliser, bottles and manual pump. It is current half price on Mothercare's website and I had a 20% off code to use. Whilst I plan to breast feed, I also plan to introduce the bottle quote early on once I have established a stable supply of breast milk. I would like to say at 2 months but I really don’t know so it is all guess work. I will pump but also I would like baby to be more dependent on the bottle than boob by the time I go back to work at 6 months old. Also gets DH more involved with feeding at an early stage.
Rhodes same here with the nose bleed. There is always dried up blood when I blow my nose first thing in the morning when I wake up and also normally when I blow it again in the evening during my shower. The good thing is it not painful so I just put it down to another minor pregnancy irritation.
We are going to order our pram next week. I don't think DH would also be patient enough to have it stored in the shop till later on. It is the one thing he has researched and picked so he is looking forward to messing about with it.
Twixes hope your growth scan went well.
Whilst my health trust don't run antenatal classes anymore, midwife has got me on to a postnatal care class at 34wk which talks about breastfeeding, bathing the baby, looking after the umbilical stump, and other things.
Mcnics Fingers crossed exchange goes through smoothly! At least when you move at the end of May it will hopefully give you just enough time to get settled in before baby's arrival. Lovely seeing the clothes on the line. I love seeing baby clothes on the washing line. There will be lots of that in the summer months when baby is here.
