I only joined the facebook group because it was so quiet on here and i assumed everyone else had hopped over to there too 🙈
Is the group 100% secret? Ive posted on it a few times but im paranoid that it will show up on my familys newsfeeds as nobody knows other than my sister, was waiting until i knew everything was okay at the scan before i tell others x

mummabubs · 23/04/2017 17:19

Think I'll stick around here if others are too- I'm trying to reduce my time on Facebook so joining the FB group probably won't help me there! 😂 Hope everyone's had a relatively nausea-free sunny weekend? (I've been sick both days, still at 16+1) but on the plus I am feeling better for more of the day than I was a couple of weeks ago so fingers crossed! Anyone else showing yet? X

doomkittycleo · 23/04/2017 17:25

The Facebook group is fully private, no one can see it except those in the group.

doomkittycleo · 23/04/2017 17:34

Pm DebsOctBaby your email address if you want to be added to the Facebook group and haven't already.

SeatOfMyPants · 23/04/2017 18:40

Hey - I'd like to join you on the boards, but I'm not on facebook so if there are people willing to stick around here that would be great!

Cineraria · 23/04/2017 22:03

Oh it's nice people are still wanting to keep using the boards. I was on the first thread but I'm not on Facebook and when I heard that a group was set up on there I thought everyone would move over and I let the thread fall off my radar. Good to know it's still going strong on thread number four!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 24/04/2017 11:13

Im showing mumma my belly seems to have really popped out recently lol x

Rayna37 · 24/04/2017 12:48

I'm certainly showing in that I've slowly gained about half a stone, all on my belly and normal trousers haven't fit for a while now; I'm 16+4. However I wouldn't say I was showing in the sense that if you didn't know, you wouldn't notice. Might give the fb group a go. Had my 16 week appointment on Friday but not much going on, I felt like a bit of a swot as everything the midwife mentioned I might need to think about some time soon I was basically I'm already sorted with - NCT classes booked, risk assessment at work done. Not very good at doing pelvic floor exercises much, anyone got any tips? I'm starting antenatal yoga shortly which should help focus me I hope.

GimbleInTheWabe · 24/04/2017 13:42

I'm not going to be joining the Fb group either as I don't use it so I'll do my best to be more active on here!

I'm 17 weeks today and I'm not sure but I think I've felt baby move twice.. felt like little prods from inside.. only get 3/4 at a time, and only felt it twice (different days a week a part) but as I've never felt it before I just can't be sure!

My popped belly now just looks bloated, I feel like I look the same but DP assured me that I have a bump ha, thanks DP! Hmm

Rayna I've been doing my pelvic floor exercises when I'm brushing my teeth. My toothbrush goes for 3 min automatically so I just tense for ten, relax for ten until my toothbrush stops. Means I get in 6 mins a day which is hopefully enough - I'd forget otherwise too!

MSH2010 · 24/04/2017 13:57

I get flickers now and again it's not all the time.
My bump got noticed last Thursday and I'm starting to feel it in my jeans and work trousers now.

I've got my 16wk midwife appointment tomorrow.

Feel like I'm doing ok considering it's twins. Just fed up of sore hard nipples already though

TippetyTapWriter · 24/04/2017 16:47

I'll be sticking around here too, so hopefully there'll be enough of us to keep it busy :)

I felt my first baby at about 17-18 weeks gimble. Felt like tiny little taps at first. 15+1 with this one and think I may possibly have felt a few things but really can't be sure. Apparently you can feel second babies sooner but not sure I really am!

My bump popped at 7 weeks, clearly have no abdominal tone whatsoever. Look properly pregnant now and had a couple of comments off strangers... mostly it disappears when I lie down in bed so I know it's not really 'baby' yet though it is firm when I'm standing.

Had almost a week of feeling energetic but now back to knackered so maybe that's the end of my second trimester energy boost!

I've completely forgotten about pelvic floor exercises... woops.

CarpeDiem83 · 24/04/2017 17:35

I'm going to keep on using both this and the Facebook group - each is good for different things. 16w appointment on wed so will see how that goes. I'm not sure I've felt any movement yet, a few strange flutterings but could just as easily be wind! I've been getting a really bad pain in my tailbone when sitting at my desk at work, have to stand up very carefully.......will mention at my appointment, hopefully not a sign of worse to come.

mummabubs · 24/04/2017 18:14

I've got my 16w appointment on Thursday @CarpeDiem83, good luck for yours!

Holy moly... so I treated myself at the weekend to a Therapy massage bar from Lush (£6.50 but thoroughly recommend, gorgeous smell, very relaxing and apparently reduce likelihood of stretch marks... win win!) After having adored my bar for 48 hours I've come home from work today to find that my greyhound has eaten it. No joke. He looks very pleased with himself and his breath smells of orange and lavender. I'm devastated!!!!

ButterflyGem · 24/04/2017 18:16

I'll be staying on here too I spend too much time on Facebook & need to cut down lol. I'm 16+1 today & feel a lot better, not as tired as I was just hungry all the time & needing to wee during the night more. I think my boobs have grown too, I'm usually only a 32b though so hat wouldn't take much & I l've got a bit of a pot belly now which is normally really flat as I'm quite tall & thin. Also people have noticed my face getting fatter too & I think my thighs have got bigger. Some days I feel more symptoms than others though I hope this is normal in so paranoid after having a miscarriage last year it's awful, I just need to relax heard the heartbeat on Friday & this is my first baby xx

ButterflyGem · 24/04/2017 18:59

@mummmabubs so funny bet he smells nice 🐶 xx

mummabubs · 24/04/2017 21:23

@ButterflyGem His breath smells delightful but the ultimate insult is that his dog farts still smell as bad as ever! 😂 (Really helping with my nausea!!)

mrsbumblebees · 24/04/2017 21:26

mummmabubs that really made me laugh!

Just got the letter though for my 20 week scan, I'm so excited (but terrified at the same time)!

Is anyone else not finding out the gender? We want to keep it a surprise but it seems most people find out nowadays, think we are definitely in the minority!

doomkittycleo · 24/04/2017 21:43

MrsBumblebees I'm keeping the gender a surprise. My 20 week scan is 31st may. Still really tired over here and hungry too, still only managing foods I really like, anything I wasn't fussed about still makes me gag, but not nauseous the rest of the time.

It's my 30th on 14th may so got that to look forward to before my next scan.

ButterflyGem · 24/04/2017 22:00

I've got my 20 week scan on 23 May & am not finding out either. Think I'll be worrying about one thing or another until baby arrives but I suppose that's normal. I've got lots of friends pregnant & due at different times this year & all have found out the gender! I'd rather not as its a nice surprise isn't it. As long as the baby's healthy I really don't mind either way what the sex is. I'll just buy a few white babygrows & decorate nursery white or cream then can add pink or blue accessories. When do you al think is the best time to start buying things? I was going to wait until after the next scan & have just been reading a few pregnancy books so far. xx

mummabubs · 24/04/2017 22:05

@mrsbumblebees I've got my 20w scan on 19th May and we're not finding out the sex. (I really wanted to know but hubby really doesn't so I'm supporting him in having a surprise). I do like the idea of not knowing, equally if I knew I was having a boy in advance it's give me time to mentally prepare as I would quite like a girl to start! 😊

mummabubs · 24/04/2017 22:07

PS Glad I made you laugh! I've just about forgiven the offending pooch... he does very good cwtchy eyes that say "I didn't mean to mummabubs, please forgive me". I'm a sucker for that face! .... Having said that the next Lush bar is being kept well out of greyhound reach!

Supersmith · 24/04/2017 22:16

My 20wk scan is on my actual birthday day so in about 3 weeks, I'll know what I will be having. I don't mind which gender, but DP is adamant its a boy so I'm betting a girl. Smile

ButterflyGem · 24/04/2017 22:33

Aww that will be a nice birthday present 👶🏼 @mummabubs I've just read the reviews on the lush bar think I'll have to get one & keep it away from my dog! 😂 uk.lush.com/products/therapy

SophieGiroux · 24/04/2017 23:08

I'm 15+1 now and thought I could see the beginnings of stretch marks today! Sad I never had any with DD1 but was religious with the bio oil twice a day. Thought I'd get on and use it properly starting today but only went and picked up my Pixi Glow Tonic and was whacking tons of that on before I realised it didn't feel very oily! Oh well at least there's no dead skin on my bump now!
Have started thinking I need to eat more healthily as maybe that's why the stretch marks are happening as I'm growing too quickly - the greggs iced ring donuts are not helping!

GimbleInTheWabe · 24/04/2017 23:38

Oh no @SophieGiroux! That's not ideal! Although tonic should make you're bump a bit more taught so it may have helped in that sense?

To help reduce stretch marks (already have loads from puberty/weight gain and loss so I know I'm prone) I've been used the secret saviours bump band. Really liked it so far after working out that mine stays on best if I wear it upside down ha. You get this sticky gel to wear during the day under the band that has all these pads on it that support your skin and back. Then at night you put on a night cream and I slather on the bio oil too. No marks as of yet but am not too bumpy yet, still look like a bloated piggy!
