Butterflygem call me super keen but I've pretty much done all my shopping. It's my first and been TTC for 2 years so a little over excited 😊.

It's weird because I still fit in some jeans but when I wear a dress I have a massive bump! Trying to follow the slimming world plan loosely although have had 2 shortbread and am munching on fruit gums as I type! No willpower!

Really nice to hear there are some others out there keeping the gender a surprise , obviously it's a personal choice but I was starting to think perhaps we were a bit strange being the only ones who didn't want to find out yet!

I'm not finding out the gender as it isn't a big deal for me either way. As long as it's a baby, I'm happy! Re: kegels, how important are they reeeeaaaallly? I HATE doing them. They're so boring! I am using an app called PFEI (catchy name, I know.)

😂 @KitKatSplat I'm guessing that app is about as exciting as the one I use- KPFE! I say use... I'll readily admit I'm not doing them daily. Actually bi-weekly summarises it generously! I know I should, but agree that they are incredibly dull.

I probably shouldn't say this, but I'm not totally convinced that kegel exercises before the birth really help that much anyway. I did them religiously last time but after episiotomy, second degree tear and ventouse delivery I had to rush to the loo within 30 seconds of needing to wee or disaster ! Kegels after the birth, however, were marvellous and helped me get almost back to normal (I'll never be able to do star jumps again though!)

We will be finding out the gender but only for practical purposes - I have a loft full of girl's clothes and toys.

I think we are going to the baby show at the NEC at the end of May, so thinking might get the pram then as they usually all on offer!

Gimble I saw that bump band advertised in the waiting room when went for scan but didn't know what it was called!! I'll have a look at that now too!!

KitKat, my midwife says it's learning to do, and to feel when you are doing, the relaxation between the exercises that is most helpful during the birth, when it's natural to tense up due to being nervous or uncomfortable. Being able consciously to relax the muscles during labour is helpful and practising regularly beforehand will make that much easier.

And you can't search for the group I'm afraid, it's completely secret so you wouldn't be able to find it

@Glitterbubble yeah it's good but expensive, but hey if it stops me from getting stretch marks across my stomach I'll pay double! I've been pretty much bathing in bio oil/ belly balms/moisturiser just to try and stop them but I feel t may be inevitable for me as I am v prone to them. I bloody hate the ones I have as well. It's called the secret saviours band, got mine on amazon.

We're finding out the gender, don't think I would if it was just me but DP really wants to know. Also I just know it's a boy, so kinda wanna find out if I'm right!

I had my scan this morning, 14w 4d due 21st october. So happy everything seemed fine with baby and heartbeat was nice and healthy 😊

LUSH got in touch with me, they feel so bad about my canine's escapade they're sending me another bar and goodie bag free of charge so that I can "keep treating" myself throughout pregnancy. Have to say I was overwhelmed by this (doesn't take much these days haha!) but at least if a few people have bought the bar on my recommendation I feel I've balanced out the good deed to LUSH! 😂

Hi everyone, I've been lurking and reading the messages and CarpeDiem83 I've pmed to join the fb group :) My scan went well and dates have changed to 14th October. I'll be finding out gender as dh says we need to prepare! At first I thought babe feels like a girl but now I'm not so sure!
