I put on 5 pounds initially but have lost 7 since the nausea started, so overall I weigh less than when I fell pregnant. My bump is quite noticeable though, I got a bit of a shock when I went into a clothes shop fitting room yesterday with those mirrors that show you from all angles! I didn't really show until the third trimester last time, so my stomach muscles are clearly buggered

@boxesoffrogs Definitely- both the NHS website and my DK pregnancy book both say there's no research to suggest it's harmful, and that the amount of the chemical you'd need to cause harm is massive in comparison to the tiny, tiny amount in hair dye. I've also just had a hairdresser app this morning in an attempt to make myself feel better and they said it's fine too, highlight away! 😊 x

Scan today went well - so relieved and thankful (despite nearly wetting myself!!!) Please can my due date be updated to 19th October the next time the list is updated? Hope everyone has a nice relaxing Easter weekend

Has anyone else's nausea gone away and then come back? I've felt almost normal for past few weeks but the last few days have been back and it's exhausting having to constantly snack or suck sweets to keep it at bay again. (Never mind the unwanted weight gain from unecessary carbs!)

i have my 16 week appt 25th with the midwife, should my husband try and attend that one or keep an appt for another scan?? He gets 2 unpaid time off for them. I will have extra scans as i have too much of me so apparently midwives can't size fundal so well later!

polly my sickness has really increased the last week, after I had a week of no puking and feeling a bit better I'm now being sick every day without fail. I'm annoyed with the constant snacking too. Getting so bored of it now!

Trytowin I'd wait for another scan. 16 weeks is a routine appt so they will measure you, check urine, quick chat. MW may have a listen for a heartbeat with a Doppler which is cool but not all do so it would be a shame for him to use his time for it! Also you can record it with your phone so he can listen later. Later scans are coooool!

Morning all!

Hope your all feeling well!! Gimble my nausea has never really left, I've had days where's it's been almost nonexistent and the days where I can't move for it.

I'd been so focused on getting through my scan on Tuesday that I'd completely forgotten I was getting my hair done today. Now having a panic as to what to get done.

So glad to see all the happy scan news!

I'm finally starting to feel slightly better. Still an underlying constant nausea but able to cope with that, and only sick every now and again. I've gained 5lb in total which I'm happy with at 16 week - although must be showing now as lots of comments. I work with mainly men and within a 2 hour space on Thurs had "you can't fit in your work uniform already, really? You're going to be huge!", "I told you to stop eating the pies!" and the ever charming "Hello, fatty!". From 3 separate men in 3 separate offices!

Has anyone found that their apts are really late? I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and my apt isn't until 8th May when I'll be 19 weeks. Despite being high risk it's with midwife, not consultant, as they said I had to see midwife first even though it says in my notes I should be consultant lead.

Hi everyone am new here and due on 8th October. Have had a very symptomless pregnancy so far which part of me is very grateful for but the other part of me has just stressed over. Anyway am now freaking out the last two days as my stomach has completely shrunk. After feeling like I was getting a slightly squishy bump, I now just look like I did pre pregnancy. Husband is away so have no-one to reassure me/tell me to stop being stupid. Just feel worried that something has happened to baby although am not having any bleeding etc so is clearly still up there! Is anyone going through this at 15 weeks?

You sound like me! Iv had no symptoms too and due on 11th oct i hav been feeling so stressed this week as just dont feel pregnant at all no bump and cant feel uterus and belly feels soft its 1st baby so not sure how i should feel but i just feel like i did b4 i was pregnant

Glad I'm not alone. Also pregnant with first baby. Just keep hoping that with no cramps or bleeding that everything okay. Thought getting pregnant was the hard part but actually being pregnant is way more stressful! When do you next have a check from midwife? I'm not in UK anymore so have an ob-gyn appt next week. Can't come quick enough!

Thecaravan, sounds pretty usual for this stage. First trimester fatigue and bloating dies down and you start feeling pretty good. It's a bit unnerving because it's usually a few more weeks before your bump 'pops' (although everyone's different obviously), and you can't actually feel any movement yet.

Bit of a weird period of pregnancy, and a bit anxiety inducing from what I remember with DD. I'm going to try and enjoy it more this time around though.

Yea me too also no cramps or bleeding i kinda wish i had round ligament pain so i knew something was going on in there i have a tilted uterus too so im not sure if that effects showing or anything and not sure when its meant to correct itself!

My next midwife app is 3rd of may and scan not until 30th may but i might have an early one in middle of may as im too impatient to wait lol
