I'm 25 + 6 today & think I can feel regular movement now especially when I'm in bed or sitting down through the day. I've been with my mother in law today to buy a nursery set we git a bargain cotbed, wardrobe & changing table for £450 a lady who lives locally buys direct off supplier & sells online, they're delivering tomorrow but we still need to empty the spare room & paint.

Also I was at the midwife yesterday & although I think my bump is quite small I was above average on the measurement graph she did say it's not all that accurate this early on eek I hope it's not a massive baby xx

doomkittycleo · 01/07/2017 22:37

I'm definitely suffering the baby brain too. I got my words muddled up earlier and when I tried to correct myself I got it the wrong way round about 4 times in a row before saying to DP that I was having a "mind fart", then I got the giggles and couldn't stop for about 10-15 minutes.

Every time I thought I'd stopped laughing I'd think of the words mind fart and start again.

I think the baby must have DP's sense of humour and it's contagious lol.

DP always gets the giggles like that, I never do.

ButterflyGem · 01/07/2017 22:48

I think we got a bargain not git lol stupid predictive text. @doomkittycleo I made an Australian crunch tray bake yesterday & forgot to put cornflakes in the mix then forgot to put in oven just straight in the fridge.

mummabubs · 02/07/2017 08:32

I've just gone to break an egg over my cereal instead of adding milk 🙈

And @boxesoffrogs if it makes you feel any better my darling canine son also chooses to wait until I'm feeling really pooped before vomiting over the carpet. His preferred vomiting hours (PVH) currently appear to be somewhere between 1-3am. I've learnt to listen for the location of vomiting to try and avoid treading in it in the dark!!

DebsOctBaby · 02/07/2017 09:38

Oohhh butterflygem, I love that set, cab you share the link just in case she is local to some of us?

GimbleInTheWabe · 02/07/2017 10:11

Lovely set @ButterflyGem! I'm jealous of you ladies that have a nursery to decorate! I just have a tiny corner of our bedroom and a chest of drawers we got for mini gimble which DP has decided is instead for his socks and pants Hmm

ThreeFour · 02/07/2017 11:54

@ButterflyGem that's a lovely set - and an absolute bargain! You must be so chuffed about that.

We're in a one-bed flat as well, so we've just ordered the Stokke Sleepi - the mini version is pretty tiny but expands into the regular version, so it'll be easier to fit everything into our tiny bedroom. (I've started the clear-out we'll have to have today. It feels completely insurmountable, but I'm hoping it'll be easier if I do it bit by bit. The really hard bit will be persuading myself to get rid of one of the three (!!!) bikes I have in the living room.)

And I'm so with everyone on the baby brain thing. Complete sentences are so difficult all of a sudden. Which is a bit embarrassing when my job includes as much proofing as it does - it's all just word soup!

Oh, and I'd love some gin as well. I've taken to drinking lots of tonic water with lemon and mint, and it's almost the same. Almost.

Here's the links she has a 2 piece smaller white set too. She had a baby shop locally here for 20 years or more bit recently had a stroke so stores brand new boxes in a storage unit & sells on the Internet. She knows the supplier of oh baby & mainly gets their stuff in its all perfect but is marked seconds just so you can't take back to the shop. That grey set in mothercare etc sells for around £1k so think I got a bargain. It might even he worth you getting one off her & collecting from the unit im not sure how far they deliver too but couks always ask. Its stored next door at the inlaws for now. However most of the house & spare room needs a lot of work to turn into he nursery & we need to sort a mortgage out before I get too big! We're buying half of the inlaws massive bungalow in the country & have just been living next door renting off them while trying to save a deposit & renovate at same time for the last 4 years! I thought I'm 33 now though & wanted to start a family ASAP lol xxx

DebsOctBaby · 02/07/2017 18:37

Great thanks for that, I'm picking up the same set on Saturday! Well chuffed to be honest, it's just what I've been looking for so really pleased

ButterflyGem · 02/07/2017 21:55

@DebsOctBaby great are you collecting off the same lady? I think it's a bargain we're just going to paint the nursery white as wr don't know the sex & will just get pink or blue accessories when baby is here. xx

GimbleInTheWabe · 02/07/2017 22:53

Thought we could do another bump comparison as it has been a while! Here's mine at 26+6.
I can not believe tomorrow is the start of my third trimester ShockShock where the bleeding heck has all that time gone?!

I've felt soooo tight across my bump all day today as if my muscles are really having to stretch to fit my lil man inside. I'm already starting to think, how can I get any bigger?!

Cath1212 · 03/07/2017 09:52

also massive baby brain here as well! I am ok at work but outside of work totally forgetful and seem to have lost all common sense. Also feel a bit guilty as getting a bit impatient with the other half - who asked yesterday if he could ever do anything right - oops! I font think the lack of sleep is helping

Picked up our pushchair yesterday which was exciting but made it feel much more real!

Cath1212 · 03/07/2017 09:53

also been drinking tonic with bitters or lemon - trying to pretend it has gin in it - it was my dad's birthday at the weekend, I find celebrations the time when I do really miss having a drink or two!

leannejade · 03/07/2017 13:28

This is my bump pic from yesterday at 23+5. Everyone's started to comment how big I'm getting in the last week and I'm starting to feel it!

October 2017 #4!
mummabubs · 03/07/2017 18:00

Me at 26+2, like you Gimble I'm wondering how much bigger can I get?! Had several people at work ask when I'm due and they were seriously shocked when I said I have another 13.5 weeks to go!! 🙈

Probably related to feeling big... but anyone else finding that back pain is becoming an issue or just me? Think the hour long car commute each way to work isn't helping :/

mummabubs · 03/07/2017 18:00

Helps if I actually attach the pic... baby brainnnnn!

October 2017 #4!
leannejade · 03/07/2017 18:22

@mummabubs I have an hour long commute, too, and find that my back is hurting towards the end of the journey. Doesn't help sitting at a desk all day. I fear it's only going to get worse :(

mummabubs · 03/07/2017 19:22

I'm also in meetings and sitting during the day. I had a midwife appointment last week and she said I should see the GP and get signed off, but as painful as it is to keep going I'm hesitant to do that as I know if I'm signed off for too long I'd have to start my mat leave early. Tricky stuff! Hope your back doesn't get worse @leannejade xx

leannejade · 03/07/2017 19:44

@mummabubs my HR department mentioned about me either starting later or finishing earlier to avoid the bulk of the traffic, but I don't think my manager would agree to that.

KitKatSplat · 03/07/2017 21:03

Also got back pain. Had it since around 20 weeks though. Tried yoga, stretching, etc. I think a lot of it is just ligaments and bones moving around and there's not a huge amount I can do about it on my own. Going to mention it to the midwife and see if she can recommend a chiropractor or physiotherapist. Got to take care of your back!

mummabubs · 03/07/2017 21:50

Agreed KitKat, I might ask for a physio referral. I already work 8:30-4:30 to try and avoid the worst of the M4 @leannejade but have to say I'm still nearly in tears from the pain by the end of the journey each day :/ I'm going to take up aquanatal classes via the NHS and try and work from home when I can, it's not ideal but I've only got 9 weeks of work left before I take 5 weeks of annual leave pre-bubba. Trying to ride it out!

mummabubs · 03/07/2017 21:52

Also Leannejade I'm pretty sure your manager has to agree as it's a reasonable adjustment in pregnancy? X

TheLionQueen1 · 03/07/2017 22:16

My job is based on the road, I do around 200 miles a day. I spoke to my manager this week and we've agreed I need to finish work at 36 weeks as she isn't comfortable with me travelling that far afterwards, hopefully your employer can be flexible LeanneJade!

I've been loving my job whilst pregnant, when it's been boiling I'm in my lovely air con car and when my back hurts I put the seat warmer on which eases it, I often have the two on at the same time, need to wee all the time does cause a problem though Grin
