Just noticed it's today good luck

Mulberry2627 · 11/05/2017 06:32

Hi everybody! I was over on the October thread but I'm due on 27th of September so couldn't remember why I wasn't here....hope it's ok to join!!

I'm 20+1 today with my first and have my scan today :) my DH is in the RAF and missed our 12 week scan being away so we ended up booking a private scan for when he came home and found out we're having a girl! Not going to tell the sonographer we know today just so they can confirm it's a girl....fingers crossed they do! Getting a bit nervous about it, hoping everything's ok even and there are no problems with bub.

Is anyone else still being sick everyday?

LouLou030783 · 11/05/2017 06:48

Mulberry welcome and good luck hope all goes well must be hard going through pregnancy with hubby in the RAF

I'm not still sick however with my last pregnancy it lasted over 20 weeks it was horrific so I really feel ur pain is it bad?

Lules · 11/05/2017 13:58

Welcome mulberry! I'm still being sick pretty much everyday - felt fine yesterday but today's it's back.

Just had a birth reflections meeting for my previous pregnancy. Wish I'd done it ages ago. It was really helpful to go through it all step by step and ask questions Think I'm definitely going to try to for a VBAC.

SpringSpringSpring · 12/05/2017 15:11

Does anyone feel more movement when bending over/leaning forwards? Just wondering whether it means I simply feel it more or whether they are feeling a bit squashed and pushing out for more space!

SayItIsntSo1 · 12/05/2017 15:27

Spring sometimes I feel more movement when I'm sat at my desk or if I bend over. I thought I must be squishing him a bit Blush

oliversmummy26 · 12/05/2017 16:44

I thought the exact same thing this afternoon, because most of my movements are really low down in my pelvis when I'm slouched over at my desk I worry that I might be squishing him..

I also get rolling movements every now and then when I get up after being up for a while, which feel really odd and make me feel sick.

LouLou030783 · 13/05/2017 19:56

How do I join the fb group xx

Mulberry2627 · 13/05/2017 20:09

Spring I am not feeling much yet, it feels like a bubble popping at the minute! And it's pretty much only when I'm lying down. Can't wait to feel her a bit more.

I also feel like I'm squishing her when I bend over! Or when I pull my legs up to put socks on it feels really uncomfortable!!! I think that's because my placenta is low and anterior (or at least i hope so, don't want her to be squished!!)

Loulou it is pretty hard, I struggled a lot less this deployment though. Sounds a bit weird but I didn't feel so alone because of bubba!

We have just found out he is going away the first week of November for 4 months which will be tough! Hoping baby isn't late, is she is on time she will only be 5 weeks when he goes :/

fluffywallow · 13/05/2017 20:13

Spring I often get jabbed when bending - I always think I've squashed her hand or foot or something Shock....just lately though I've been having much more pronounced kicks - real thumps. It's nice and reassuring.

16 weeks ish to go - which seems mad, not that long at all really!!! 23+1 today.

calimommy · 13/05/2017 22:32

Lou Lou you can email me: [email protected]

londonfeather · 14/05/2017 07:35

Hello, we are currently on holiday at the and I seem to be growing at a rapid rate.. does relaxing make you grow? Who knows! I'm being intermittently kicked to pieces throughout the day... the movement I can feel is so strong which is nice so it keeps me reassured everything is going ok.

littlepooch · 14/05/2017 10:42

Hello! I simply cannot keep up on here so was wondering can anyone tell me how I can join the fb group please? Smile

I promise I am very nice and have found the fb group with my 18month daughter invaluable!

oliversmummy26 · 15/05/2017 10:07

23+1 today, so same as LouLou just about 16 weeks left to go!
Started feeling some much bigger kicks at the weekend and can sometimes see my bump moving which is awesome!

Got issues with my 4 year old today though, his usual teacher at school was off all last week and is off again this week, and we don't know what teacher he's going to have from one morning to the next. There's one he's had a couple of times who he's not keen on, as she "shouts" a lot - not at him but at the class in general. So it was her today, and he just burst into tears and had to be taken in my the teaching assistant...I feel awful leaving him like that, he's been the same for most of the last week. I think he just doesn't like the change and not knowing what's going on each day, which I understand, but it breaks my heart seeing him so upset every morning Sad he's not 5 until the end of June, so one of the youngest in his class..

Travelgeek · 15/05/2017 10:34

16 weeks!! I need more time! I'm not prepared. I don't have a car seat or cot and half the house still needs replastering before painting and flooring and work is manic so no chance of organising it all! Eek! I know it'll all come together in the end but it really doesn't sound like long enough.

23+3 today and saw bump move on Friday for the first time. She's been sumersaulting all morning. She must be growing and having less space to move about in. Still, I'm keen for my 25 week check up with the midwife a week on Thursday as I haven't seen one since 16weeks, and the scan at 20 weeks feels like ages ago.

Oh, poor LO olivers. Would it help if he knew who was covering what days for the week ahead? So it'll be Mrs So and So on Tuesday and Wednesday but then Miss X on Thursday Friday and hopefully usual teacher after the weekend. Just so he knows what to expect. The school must be figuring out cover at least a few days in advance.

oliversmummy26 · 15/05/2017 10:39

I'm sure it would help him a lot to know who it's going to be, I might email the school secretary today and see if she can let me know. Poor little mite, he's so sensitive and any change is a massive deal for him. He just gets himself all stressed out and cries Sad

ememem84 · 15/05/2017 17:40

Hello! I fell off the thread for a bit. Hope everyone's ok.

Had my 20 weeks scan today. Am 20+4. And it's a BOY! 💙💙💙

He was very wiggly and a bit of a camera fan! Such a poser already! Haha! But alls good. Yay!

Travelgeek · 15/05/2017 18:20

Congratulations em, thats lovely news. Have you thought of names now you know that 'it' is a 'he'?

ememem84 · 15/05/2017 19:45

Yep. We've sort of got names worked out. I'm so excited!!!

Fruitcorner123 · 15/05/2017 21:02

Loulou thanks scan went well and am starting to look pregnant rather than just fat and frumpy which is a relief! How did yours go?

Lules · 16/05/2017 07:49

Congrats on the scan! Not much news to report other than awful heartburn. And very itchy breasts (sorry). I guess because they're growing?

In other news we've had an offer on a house accepted which is exciting but also lots to sort out.

fluffywallow · 16/05/2017 13:41

Congrats on all the positive scan news Smile

Starting to feel very pregnant now - prominent bump and lots of kicks and the occasional waddle.

Keep mentally counting down to finishing work - I know it's bad but can't help myself. 12 weeks to go! Grin
