Ps lules yes my breasts appear to have gone the opposite way, but I feel smaller overall, other than bump, which I think might be due to baby getting to my fat stores as I have struggled with appetite due to heartburn in last month. But growth scan this week showed baby is growing great. You have been so sick this whole pregnancy it is maybe just a short dip if your appetite has been off too?

How's everyone this Friday? 33 weeks today here! Feeling ok and trying to keep a rein on my obsessive nesting instinct!! I've been googling oven cleaning services all morning and have a carpet cleaner lined up for maternity leave - I know how to live! Wink

EssentialHummus · 21/07/2017 10:36

Morning all! We moved house this week - so glad we did it now rather than later (I'm 33 weeks) but wow, it was tough. New place not quite livable so spending two nights at a local hotel Grin. I'm happy that I at least had the forethought to pack hospital bag, mat notes and clothes for the baby in a designated place, because everything else is in total chaos. Oh well...

Lules · 21/07/2017 11:04

I've still got all the moving to look forward to. Telling myself it'll all be fine doing it at 35 weeks!

Have half packed my hospital bag but it's hard to know what to put in. Didn't use any of the stuff I packed for labour (wasn't allowed food and was in no mood for lip balm and the other stuff they suggest) last time but was in for days afterwards but of course this labour could be quite different.

Boots had some good sales on clothes WhiteLily if you're short of anything, they were 25-70% off and I always think the boots stuff is nice and a little unusual!
I went to Primark and stocked up on some knickers today, fed up of mine digging in. I got some for now and some for post birth, I think I might have taken the "massive" thing to the extreme but good grief they are comfy!

EssentialHummus · 22/07/2017 20:58

I'm also a fan of Boots for clothes susan - some of it very bright/colourful/bit Scandi.

fluffywallow · 22/07/2017 21:23

Susan I think I might have taken the big knickers too far too - normally a size 12 and I've got size 20 Grin, they look dead comfy though!

GrumpySusan · 23/07/2017 10:31

Fluffy I'm exactly the same! Usually 12 but got 14-16 for now and they are perfect, but got 18-20 for after birth. Tbh I could happily wear them now too Blush
Yes I loved the bright colours too Essential - some really nice babygrows for if you don't know sex/aren't so big on the whole blue pink thing.

Hi all
I'm new to this site/ forum , I'm 32 weeks pregnant and my friend recommend I follow in this thread.
Is there a face group group to I could join?
Thanks 😊

fluffywallow · 24/07/2017 14:01

If you had very wet underwear (that definitely wasn't urine) at 33+3 what would you do? It shocked me slightly and is similar to what I had with my DD last time when my waters started trickling (but she was overdue at this point!) Not sure whether to call hospital or just wait it out a bit....

StarWish1 · 24/07/2017 14:28

Welcome mophie I think there is a Facebook group but I'm not on it so can't tell you how to join. Sure one of the others will be able up give you the details though.
Fluffy I'd give your midwife a call or your midwife unit and see what they recommend. Better to check than to worry about it. I can't say I've had that but I have had a definite increase in discharge since about 31 weeks

EssentialHummus · 24/07/2017 15:50

fluffy call in, just in case.

Lules · 24/07/2017 16:09

I would definitely call and if you can't get through (I can never get through), go in. I hope you've already gone and everything is ok.

Thanks ladies - sitting in hospital on the monitor at the moment, they'll check my waters shortly Confused

sweetpea20 · 26/07/2017 08:11

@fluffywallow i am 33w too and have noticed watery discharge this week. Perhaps I should go & get it checked out too...keep us posted

fluffywallow · 26/07/2017 09:20

Hi sweet that's the trickiest thing - watery discharge and waters are similar. With my DD my waters were leaking and they didn't realise until they went to break them (despite me having told them I thought they might be!)

It's a tricky one. Just monitor it and go with your instincts.

StarWish1 · 26/07/2017 11:20

How are you today Fluffy? Was it your waters?

So, 2 random questions from me today.

  1. prenatal vitamins. Is anyone still taking them? I have been taking the pregnacare ones with omega 3 capsules all the way through but they're now about to run out and I'm not sure I want to buy another pack for the last 4 weeks. I'll probably buy a cheaper pregnancy vitamin instead but I was just curious what everyone else is doing. Also, is anyone planning on taking vitamins once the baby is here - are there any new mum / breastfeeding ones?

  2. cameras in hospital. Every hospital bag list I have seen has said to pack a camera but I was planning on just using my phone for pictures. Is anyone taking a separate camera in or does anyone know any reason why a phone wouldn't be suitable??

fluffywallow · 26/07/2017 13:15

I don't think so star as it's not constant - I'm enjoying a couple of days enforced rest though. Just enough of a boost to get me through the last couple of weeks at work.

To answer your questions I've only been taking vitamin d since the prenatals made my morning sickness worse. My midwife told me vit d was the only essential. Not sure about post birth, will be interesting if others have tips.

Regarding cameras we mostly used our phones which weren't a problem but also took advantage of the bounty photos taken at the hospital (I know they're controversial but they were not intrusive and we still have them up on the wall even now). Cost the earth though!

StarWish1 · 26/07/2017 20:11

Thanks fluffy just realised that I forgot to put this on the new thread!
