olivers I was too embarrassed to ask but no, not just you Blush

StarWish1 · 24/04/2017 18:01

Huge congrats to all the recent 20 week scans. Lovely to see the board full of happy news Smile

sugarplumfairy2010 · 24/04/2017 18:04

Had my 20 week scan today everything looked healthy im so glad to get past this stage. Was confirmed that she is a girl and have started to feel big kicks now that i can see aswell as feel which seems weird even though i should be use to this as she is my 3rd lol. 20+5 weeks.x

Dixiechick1991 · 24/04/2017 18:43

I'll join in.

Due date: 3rd September
B/G/unknown: unknown :) I've always wanted the "it's a ....." moment
Favourite thing(s) about being pregnant: No periods, napping & not doing as much heavy lifting housework
Latest 'oh shit this is happening thing': going to a mamas and papas outlet and seeing all the pregnant women then realising I'm one of them. Also, putting our pram together Shock

SuziePink · 24/04/2017 22:11

I'm glad you all liked the sort of 'about me' thing! Every time someone said how far along they were I spent far too much time trying to work out due dates! It's good to have a bit of an insight into what's going through people's minds too. I'm amazed there's a few of us with EDD of 8th September.

I had my 20 week scan today. All was absolutely fine and he kept covering his face with his hands. I still can't get over the fact you can see their brain and heart, we even saw he had a full bladder! I can't quite connect seeing that with it being inside my body if that makes sense.

puttingourhoodupdown · 24/04/2017 22:35

Due date: sept 18
B/G: boy. Have my 20 week scan next week where I hope they will reconfirm....ill be very unhappy if they say something different as I've started selling DD clothes
Fave pg moment: not really had one yet....I'm looking forward to movement. I've started nesting and I'm definitely enjoying that
Oh shit moment: I have to give birth again

Congratulations on all the lovely scan news... Be sure to update the Facebook spreadsheet Smile

SayItIsntSo1 · 25/04/2017 08:01

I forgot to do mine in the midst of catching up!

Due date: Sept 25th (3 days before my birthday!)
B/G: Boy. Found out at 11wks from Harmony test so pretty conclusive.
Fave pg moment: starting to feel movements. Seeing a healthy baby with a heartbeat 3 times so far.
Oh shit moment: Worrying each day that something may still go wrong. And that we have no idea how this one will differ from dd who is an easy going, well sleeping, good eating child Confused!

oliversmummy26 · 25/04/2017 09:59

Hummus so pleased it's not just me! Blush

Say I have the exact same fears as you, hoping that this baby will be just as well behaved as his big brother..DS1 (almost 5) was a terrible sleeper as a baby, but is a dream now, 7.30-7.30 every night without fail and no probs in the middle of the night unless he's poorly. Also eats really well (if a little too well!) He's also very easy going and laid back, bit of a mummy's boy but I secretly don't mind that! Smile

FXSkip · 25/04/2017 11:37

Hi everyone, I've been long absent from mn but trying to keep an eye on the chat!
D/d now 30th August!
B/G: girl! So excited to meet her Grin
Fave pg moment: I have loved the 2nd tri, all the people on holiday being so nice to me and getting awesome perks like free upgrades ha ha! But mostly when DH chats to my tummy, giving her maths and history lessons Smile
Oh shit moment: 20wk scan lady saying I have an anterior placenta and need a c-section and I just thought 'why?! It's not like I'm having a baby - OH SHIT yes I am Confused

FXSkip · 25/04/2017 11:38

Also on the wee leakage I had this once and immediately upped my kegels to 3x a day and haven't had it since

Travelgeek · 25/04/2017 18:14

skip, did they say why about the c-section? I have an anterior placenta too but ita not been mentioned as a potential issue, even when I asked.

I've been good at doing my kegels regularly every day but a surprise sneeze with a full bladder has caught me out once!

LouLou030783 · 25/04/2017 18:59

Skip is it anterior and low?? I had a n anterior placenta last time and a section was never in the equation

EssentialHummus · 25/04/2017 19:12

Same as lou - mine is anterior but I heard the midwife muttering something about it being OK because of the position.

SpringSpringSpring · 25/04/2017 19:25

Had the 20wk scan too & all looks okSmile Still don't feel much movement though.
I haven't heard anything about whooping cough jab so should probably check with the midwife. I wish the folder had a list of all the things we are supposes to do / when to book appointments.

FXSkip · 25/04/2017 19:32

Yes, sorry it's low lying which is the issue! spring my notes have one, but it's disguised as a boring info sheet! Have you read through your notes thoroughly?!

Travelgeek · 25/04/2017 19:52

Ah, that makes sense skip.

LouLou030783 · 25/04/2017 20:04

That makes sense then skip will they scan U later in pregnancy though to see if it has moved therefore allowing vagina del x

Londonexhile · 25/04/2017 22:17

Hi everyone, I've been a bit quiet on this thread but trying to keep up!

Due date: 7th sept
B/G: Boy! Found out on Friday, quite a surprise and both me and DH were convinced he was a she (for no real reason!)
Favourite moment: not sure, probably the 20 week scan, seeing a real baby rather than the more alien like ones before!
Worst / scariest: forgetting I'm pregnant / having to get used to my changing shape! I've never been skinny but I've spent the last 15 years sucking my tummy in at all times...can't do that any more!!

TMI question....how do people "keep tidy" down there? I've always trimmed as I'm too much of a wimp for waxing but it's starting to get very challenging!!!

Travelgeek · 26/04/2017 07:10

I have a very under-used epilator, but it has a shaving head attachment so I've just done a once over with that london. Not sure how I'm going to manage in a month's time when I go on holiday and there will be swimming. I am generally quite bad at keeping on top of 'grooming', but I'm trying not to use the bump as an excuse to be neglectful as it always feels good when I've done a bit of pampering. Just can't decide what to do about a haircut. I don't want to chop it as it's actually nice luscious pregnancy hair, but it's getting a bit too long now really.

NutCase82 · 26/04/2017 07:14

Is anyone else experiencing weird dreams?! During the dreams it seems really vivid (as though my mind is looking through memories that I can't really recall in waking life) some are good (memories??) of school days, but one in particular is of an incident I'd rather not relive. Trouble is that now that it seems to be back from the oppression, it keeps popping into my head regularly even though I've not thought about it for years.

I'm 19 weeks, got another two weeks before my next scan and time is ticking by slooowwwly!!!

calimommy · 26/04/2017 07:27

travel how the f%*k do you stand the epilator?!?! They are like torture devices!!

LouLou030783 · 26/04/2017 07:37

nut pregnancy dreams are one of the many wonderful things about pregnancy

travel as Cali said how the hell do u use that

london a mirror ends up coming in handy

Travelgeek · 26/04/2017 08:17

Haha! Not very often, only on my legs and in a very hot shower.

It was an unsuccessful attempt to be more lazy but less hairy. And not to put tons of plastic disposable razors in landfill. But I still just shave a lot of the time.

Fluffywallow · 26/04/2017 10:43

London - my bikini area will be waxed (professionally - not by me!) before holiday and then again before due date. Other than that I'll shave my legs when they need it - last time I was able to do them all the way through.

Nut yes to the horrible weird dreams. They are so vivid and quite disturbing sometimes. Last time they passed somewhere in the late second trimester thankfully so not too long now hopefully. Hope you're ok, must be horrid they're bringing up bad memories.
