Oh 18 weeks today
Really hoping this pain is a one off and not the start of SPD!!!!

Corrinax · 19/04/2017 08:02

Hey hope you dont mine me popping in im due 11th oct and 15 weeks today but i just wondered how everyone felt at 14/15/16 weeks as i just dont feel pregnant at all and due to previous mmc im driving myself crazy! I have no growing pains, no other symptoms i just feel normal like pre pregnancy! No bump or anything either :( Had scan few weeks ago n looked fine

EssentialHummus · 19/04/2017 10:34

Hi corri, I was like that too. Now 20 weeks. Bump is more visible, and I think I can feel very occasional kicking/movement, but I'm not sure. I also worry that things aren't OK just because I don't have any evidence to the contrary. I think it's normal (unfortunately).

Travelgeek · 19/04/2017 10:43

Hi corrie, I was the same. Since the nausea subsided at about 14 weeks I have felt like my normal self - apart from the expanding bump! I'm 20 weeks on Friday and have my scan that day and I can't wait as although I feel some movement I really want the reassurance everything is going well. It's my first.

oliversmummy26 · 19/04/2017 12:39

Corri I would guess you're just one of the lucky ones!

I've got myself a baby kicks app and am monitoring baby's movements while I'm sitting at work, he's so busy in there! They're mostly still fluttery movements, but I'm certain I felt a huge kick last night when I rolled over in bed - made me jump! Smile

Amz26 · 19/04/2017 17:34

Hi Everyone..

So I had my 20week scan today and the baby was being so stubborn!! They got all the measurements in the end apart from the heart photos they needed.. The lady doing the ultrasound explained they needed 7 photos of the babies heart to make sure all was ok but she could only get a few.. i have to go back in 3 weeks time for another scan 😔 I wasn't 2 worried at the time but I've been thinking about it all day.. has this happened to anyone? X

WhatwouldRuthdo · 19/04/2017 18:40

Hi Amz, although I haven't had this happen to me, I have known people have to go back for repeat scans because the baby was in the wrong position and refusing to shift. Hope the second scan goes smoothly- sounds like you just have a camera shy baby!

Fluffywallow · 19/04/2017 19:09

I also had a friend recently who had to go back for a repeat scan as baby was in the wrong position - I'm sure everything's fine and baby was just showing you who's boss!

StarWish1 · 19/04/2017 21:00

Hi Amz mine was stubborn at the 20 week scan too - took quite a while to get all the measurements in particular the face as he was turned away from us. They eventually managed to get heart and lip measurements. We couldn't get any decent scan pics for us though.
I also know someone else who had to go back for a repeat scan as they couldn't get the measurements and all was ok.
Don't worry - think it's just because they want to be certain and accurate with the measurements and obviously our little beans are wriggly and don't want to lie still nicely.

EssentialHummus · 20/04/2017 10:16

Just had the 20 week scan and it's a girl! No good pics as she was wriggling like mad. I somehow decided that she was a boy, so still getting my head around things.

Amz26 · 20/04/2017 11:54

Thanks ladies I'll keep you all updated! I'm sure I'm just overthinking everything!! Has anyone's morning sickness come back after stopping? I'm not to bad ATM but the last few days has been horrible x

Amz26 · 20/04/2017 11:55

Congratulations on your news hummus

oliversmummy26 · 20/04/2017 11:58

Amz it's nothing to worry about, they just have to get all the measurements and images they need to check baby over full that's all. It doesn't mean there's a problem.

Congratulations Hummus on having a girl - lovely news! We had a gender scan at 16 weeks and were both convinced it was going to be a girl but it's a boy. I still wouldn't be surprised though if we get to the 20 week scan and they tell us it's a girl - although the very obvious willy we saw at 16 weeks was pretty conclusive! DH said pound for pound the baby has more than he does!! Grin

All good here, I don't want to tempt fate, but I've had a couple of really good days. Only issues have been a bit of indigestion and heartburn from lunchtime onwards. Feels like I have a tennis ball stuck in my thoat. But excellent sleep at the moment and not even getting up for a wee, feel like I've turned a corner Smile

LouLou030783 · 20/04/2017 13:08

Congratulations hummus

I'm 17+4 and not really feeling pregnant at all, I don't even generally look it was so obvious with my other pregnancies by this stage I met a friend today and she's like u honestly can't even tell ur pregnant I'm freaking out lol

calimommy · 20/04/2017 14:47

amz I've been feeling awful too but realised it was after I ate, anything at all, including a cup of tea! and it's actually indigestion. Last two pregnancies I drank bottles of gaviscon like wine. Looks like it's starting again. You could be feeling some indigestion too? Or it could be just sickness as well!

oliversmummy26 · 20/04/2017 16:25

I'm the same as calimommy getting indigestion usually from lunchtime onwards and it does make me feel sicky Envy

SuziePink · 20/04/2017 17:02

I'm definitely starting to look pregnant now though that's not too surprising as I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow! Next scan on Monday... is it still important to have a full bladder? I overestimated for my 12 week scan and literally couldn't wait to go but then underestimated for my 16 week scan and had to be sent out to gulp down loads of water!

ememem84 · 20/04/2017 17:18

Congrats hummus I'm 17 weeks today! Eeeek.

Struggled with my suit today. Must find something suitably smart yet giving for work/meetings etc.

Sigh.

EssentialHummus · 20/04/2017 17:32

Definitely showing here too suzie

I was thinking (dangerous I know), obviously some of us are having issues and it's good to moan to avoid going crazy but I thought it might be nice to have everyone's due date and something positive such as:

Due date: 8th September
B/G/unknown: B
Favourite thing(s) about being pregnant: Not having periods, less dry skin, being unable to touch cat litter!
Latest 'oh shit this is happening thing': Started feeling kicking the other day...

Totally fine if everyone thinks it's vomit inducing or whatever.

Travelgeek · 20/04/2017 19:20

I'll join in.

Due date: 8th September (snap, Suzie)
B/G/unknown: finding out tomorrow if baby is compliant at the scan
Favourite thing(s) about being pregnant: Agree with the no periods. Second helpings of dessert and taking naps. Did them before, but now have a legitimate excuse!
Latest 'oh shit this is happening thing': Actually the announcement of the general election really threw me and I spent the day thinking about the world we are bringing a child into.

EssentialHummus · 20/04/2017 19:30

Due date: 4 September
B/G: G
Favourite thing: I can't think of one Blush. I haven't had much in the way of morning sickness/nausea, so that's been quite good.
"Oh shit this is happening" moment: Going from thinking that I don't look pregnant at all to seeing photos of my enormous boobs and belly on holiday and realising that I look very pregnant!

Fluffywallow · 20/04/2017 19:35

Great idea susie! I love reading stuff like this. And lovely bump hummus!

Due date: 8th September (snap Suzie and travel!)
B/G/unknown: girl - getting this reconfirmed at 20 week scan on Monday!
Favourite thing (s): the amazingness of carrying and growing a baby, it really is quite something.
Being able to eat according to my desires - diet begins once baby arrives!
I also love being able to let it all hang out and wear tight clothes without thinking about my mum tum.
Latest 'oh shit this is happening thing': realising I'll need to sort out a space in our spare room for babies clothes whilst baby is in our room. Last time we just used the nursery but DD is in there now. Suddenly feel like I've not got all that long to get everything sorted and there's LOADS to do!

ememem84 · 20/04/2017 22:15

Due date: 28 September
B/G: Not sure yet. Will find out in 3 weeks.
Favourite thing: my boobs are HUGE!! And my skins nice. Yay!!

"Oh shit this is happening" moment: having to think about maternity leave for work. Oh and being signed up for parenting classes. Eeep

Frillyhorseyknickers · 21/04/2017 08:21

Due date: 24th September (wedding anniversary!)
B/G - not finding out.
Favourite thing: meternity jeans!
"Oh shit moment" - started sorting my client work out this week. I'm a big career girl and I did not want children. We're excited about baby but I'm already grieving for my career.
