Emem oh my word blocked up something chronic here too! Prune juice works to a certain extent but I also think stocking up on fruit and veg is wise too. For me it's resulted in, ahem, piles (really sorry tmi) and it's horrible and painful so try to sort it before it gets to that stage! Mine are an unpleasant side affect from my last labour so I'm susceptible to them unfortunately BlushBlushBlush

Feeling bloaty and tired after a late night away at my MILs in a teeny double bed. Whinge whinge whinge.....

Kskifred · 17/04/2017 08:43

Magnesium oil spray is the only thing that helps me with constipation. - it really works and helps with headaches, and any joint pains etc too I would recommend!

ememem84 · 17/04/2017 08:46

Agree. Whinge whinge whinge.

I'm at the stage of thinking it's funny now it really isn't but when you've not pooped since late last week not much else to do we've put our flat on the market and have a viewing at 830 tomorrow morning. Dh reckons that 8pm will be erm...the time I get my relief. With no time to er..sort out the bathroom before the viewing. 😂

ememem84 · 17/04/2017 08:48

Currently enjoying a nice healthy fruity smoothie. Then some pastries and pineapple for breakfast. May just have some eggs and a massive strong black coffee. That usually does the trick. Runnybeggs and black coffee.

We're off out to the races later so may treat myself to a greasy cheeseburger from a van to see if that has any effect.... sigh.

Kskifred · 17/04/2017 09:15

I was the same I think I went about 8 days and with indigestion too it felt like my whole body was full of scratchy cornflakes, so uncomfortable! Made sickness so much worse. Magnesium oil made it all soft though and didn't hurt to pass next day

EssentialHummus · 17/04/2017 09:26

Just joining you all on the whinge couch if there's room. Yy to black coffee em. I am still in the throes of a cold. Spent yesterday bending at odd angles painting our new flat, and now it hurts when I cough. Meh.

I suffer from chronic indigestion and reflux (had to go to hospital twice last year as I was in so much pain and it presents similar to heart issues) which woke me up at 3am last night and didn't get back to sleep till 5am... sigh. I also swing between constipation and er very much not constipation as part of my symptoms which is fun but I would really recommend psyllium husk (you can buy it in H&B) as it's pure fibre that you mix with water, juice or yoghurt so helps to bulk things and move them along without giving any laxative effects. Don't forget to drink loads of water though! Like loads and loads.

I'm also a big fan of Gaviscon and dispersible paracetamol for reflux.

ememem84 · 17/04/2017 10:13

I thought being pregnant would be super glam. I bet the celebs don't suffer like this!!!! Haha!!

That said all the water and fruit and veg I'm consuming are doing wonders for my skin... so there's always a bonus.

OkyDoke · 17/04/2017 10:18

Can i whinge too? Im achy and exhausted and just want to moan about it lol

ememem84 · 17/04/2017 10:28

Hop onto the whinge couch oky

Have just had my smoothie and a lovely fibregel drink my new favourite Eugh and a pear. Someone recommended pears.

And half a litre of water. Oof.

Have also just spent £33 on two skirts from asos. Yay!

Morning ladies, currently sat in a&e as had some bleeding last night, 19+1 today. Not a lot just on wiping but had more this morning so worrying!
Maternity ward won't see me as I'm not 20 weeks yet 😬 And as it's a bank holiday this is the best we can do!
I'm sure everything will be fine, got a heartbeat from Doppler last night and feeling some very light wiggles now, just need some reassurance from someone in the know!

EssentialHummus · 17/04/2017 10:48

olivers that's understandably worrying, absolutely get it checked out. Sorry you're spending your bank holiday in A&E, hopefully you won't be there too long.

StarWish1 · 17/04/2017 11:01

Hi Olivers I went through this at 17 and 18 weeks & all was fine so try not to worry. My hospital has an EPU unit so I went there both times as the maternity unit also wouldn't see me before 20 weeks. They checked heartbeat and did an internal exam both times and said all seemed fine but my cervix looked quite pink and sore so they thought the spotting was from there. They didn't do a scan (which I was disappointed about) but they were perfectly happy once they'd heard the heartbeat. They said it's not uncommon as there's so much extra blood and hormones going to your cervix area during this time. They asked if I had dtd (which I hadn't) as this often causes it.
I'm sure all will be fine Smile get it checked out and then go home and take it easy for the rest of the day x

oliversmummy26 · 17/04/2017 11:40

Thanks star that's good to know. Since I've been sitting here and had a coffee and some cold water baby has been wriggling about - typical!
Seen triage nurse and taken wee sample, hopefully will get seen by someone in the know soon.

OkyDoke · 17/04/2017 11:47

Glad to hear baby is wriggling oliver! Hope youre seen soon amd off home.Flowers

SayItIsntSo1 · 17/04/2017 12:50

I'm another one for the whinge couch. Not sure I have felt any more movement since the other day and felt tired/rough this morning so had a nap. Then convinced myself it meant there is something wrong with baby Hmm I wish I could escape from my own head sometimes!

Hope all is ok Olivers, you've done the best thing by going to be checked.

Travelgeek · 17/04/2017 13:21

Hope you get seen soon olivers and they can confirm all is ok.

Fluffywallow · 17/04/2017 13:25

Hope everything's ok Olivers, thinking of you.

Glad I'm not alone on the whingy couch. I feel like a miserable moany arse sometimes Blush

WhatwouldRuthdo · 17/04/2017 13:49

Hope everything goes ok Olivers. It's good to hear that baby is having a good wriggle around.

Shewhojuggles · 17/04/2017 15:02

Room for another on the whinge couch? I've been following the thread but not much commenting. Had a lovely day yesterday but feel exhausted today and every bit of food is making me feel queasy. I've even refused Easter chocs from my 13yo DD who is being very lovely and helpful. Dreading going back to work tomorrow with three days working away so we've decided to sit on the couch and watch films all day today. Currently 18+4 and getting plenty of wriggles/kicks but think it's easier to spot with second baby.

Hope everything is ok olivers

oliversmummy26 · 17/04/2017 15:06

Doctor who saw me found an ultra sound machine and we saw baby and heartbeat. So for now all fine, but I'm to go back if any pain or it worsens and he'll refer me to maternity.
Home now and taking it easy today.
Bugger of it is that until 23 weeks baby isn't considered viable so there's nothing they can really do anyway until then...just need to get the next 4-5 weeks under our belts.
I'll feel happier tomorrow when I have access to gp and midwife though.

EssentialHummus · 17/04/2017 15:17

Glad you were able to see that everything is OK olivers, that doctor sounds helpful.

I think we're going to need a bigger couch for all us whingers today Grin sorry that so many of us are feeling unwell.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 17/04/2017 16:23

Glad the appointment went relatively well olivers.
If we turn it into a whinge room, can I join too? Took DS swimming this morning and forgot somehow about his complete lack of fear. Spent the whole time floundering around trying to extract him from under waves and overdid it a bit in the pelvis department. I can barely walk. 19ish weeks of pelvis pain to go. Moan moan moan.

ememem84 · 17/04/2017 20:22

My ahem "situation" has improved. We went to the races today and I needed to go. 💩💩😂😀 felt a bit sorry for the person who went in after me but I am a winner. Even if I lost a bit of money.

Tmi I know. Sorry x
