Hi everyone! Not much new with me apart from my hips have really started hurting. Anyone else? I'm not sure they ever really recovered from my first pregnancy but this is so early to be in pain. Have my birth options clinic on Wed. Don't know if my husband should come along or not. The support would be nice but I also feel I want to go by myself.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 08/04/2017 07:02

Wow, I get distracted for a few days, remember this thread and so many posts! Lules not quite my hips, but I have bad pelvic pain. Rolling over in bed is really painful. Basically SPD but I've had it since about 14 weeks which is early. My midwife was no help but if it gets bad, speak to your GP and a physio referral is possible. Like you, I've obviously not recovered from last time.

Hope everyone else isn't feeling too bad today. I'm 19+6 and feeling proper mini kicks now which is reassuring. 20 week scan on Tuesday!

flymo79 · 09/04/2017 00:33

Thanks for buggy tips and sorry to those struggling with hip / pelvic pain, I'm really dreading this as it was so bad last time... And can't really be paying for physio here!! We have the inlaws staying at the mo which is exhausting, just had a few days at the beach and poor dh was charging up and down the sand after dd... She is a runner! I hope it calms down before this baby arrives!!!

Heyitsholly · 09/04/2017 17:26

Does anyone else not really feel pregnant? Im still exhausted and sick if i eat the wrong thing but otherwise i keep finding i forget!
Was turning our mattress yesterday and dh kicked off!
Think it may be as my bump is merged in with my fat and not clear

Fluffywallow · 09/04/2017 19:23

How old is your DD Fly? Mines 2.5 yrs and is a runner too....it's exhausting. And she darts in all directions which just makes it even more taxing! I'm hoping by 3 she'll calm down a bit....

Holly occasionally I forget as bump isn't big enough to get in the way too often and I feel otherwise well. I'm trying to relish it though as I know in a couple of months it'll be impossible to forget!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 09/04/2017 19:41

hey I don't feel pregnant either, just flabby. I'm still doing everything I did previously apart from riding the youngsters though.

Why did he shout at you for turning the mattress? I've been sunbathing in the garden all day!

I forget too, and it's not even for lack of bump. I've had people congratulate me and for a minute I'm genuinely confused what for. Had a few busy weeks, as well as work and DS so that's probably distracted me! Then the aches and pains bring it all back ha. Hope things get more relaxing soon Fly, maybe when the inlaws go home...

Travelgeek · 09/04/2017 21:13

I'm the same! I forget and then someone at work asks how I'm getting on or I get told off by DH for trying to move furniture or the other day I was parked in a tight spot and couldn't open my door very far and when I tried to squeeze out realised I wouldn't fit!

Fluffywallow · 10/04/2017 10:17

In my last pregnancy I had to get someone to move their car so I could get in mine - I am now super conscious that I park in spaces with big enough room for me to get out. I remember dh saying 'can't you just breathe in?' - obviously the concept of pregnancy is lost on him GrinGrinuh no there's a baby in there!

Heyitsholly · 10/04/2017 11:01

Fluffy that really made me laugh!
Frilly he thinks i shouldnt lift anything just incase i hurt me or the baby and a kingsize mattress was one thing too far in his books 🙈 Lol

laurenann23 · 10/04/2017 11:57

I've got lower back pain which I've finally got used to and today I woke up and slept funny in my neck and now have ridiculous neck and shoulder pain! So annoying Grin but I have woken up with a massive bump which I am loving!! 18+4 today, I want baby here now! So impatient haha

calimommy · 10/04/2017 17:34

fluffy I'm laughing because I know I'm going to have to be one of those assholes that parks over two spaces. I have one of those ginormous suvs (we are in America) and it's tricky enough getting the children into their car seats at times but at least I can squeeze in. There will be no chance of that when I get bigger. I'll just have to ignore the angry rants and hope no one keys my doors...

Lules · 10/04/2017 17:47

Was meant to have my 16 week appt today but for various reasons had to cancel it and there isnt another one for 6 weeks! I've got the birth options clinic on wed anyway so I'll ask about blood test results then. Given that I wouldn't be seen from 16-28 weeks apart from the scan normally i guess it won't make much difference.

Fluffywallow · 10/04/2017 19:48

Oh yes Cali I'll probably end up doing that too Grinit's fine, we're pregnant - normal rules don't apply!

Lules that's a shame, but at least you have an appt soon anyway.

I am unbelievably tired tonight, I think a few days of being pretty full on might have caught up with me. Early to bed I think!

sherbertlemon17 · 10/04/2017 21:17

Another one here who keeps forgetting that they are pregnant! Although I had little baby nudges tonight which has made it all feel much more real GrinGrin

Fluffy that made me laugh! But I must admit, if I'm parked a bit tight, I still try to breathe in! Needless to say, it makes zero difference. Haha!

oliversmummy26 · 11/04/2017 16:11

Hi all and welcome and congratulations to the newbies!

Back at work today after a week off with DS due to Easter holidays. Had a fab time and little nana naps every afternoon which were bliss! Suffering with headaches (which paracetamol just won't touch) and back ache.

I've got a very painful and achy vag which I'm putting down to pelvic pain? I didn't get it last time, but it's worst when I get dressed as going from one leg to the other when putting trousers on is agony.

I did watch OBEM last week but wasn't very impressed to be honest - what was that idiot doing on the phone to his new girlfriend while the mother of his child was in labour?! Turn your sodding phone off!

Getting very impatient for baby to arrive now, I said to DH last night that I miss our baby...in the same way that I miss DS when he's at his dad's and just want him home. It made total sense in my head but DH thought I was bonkers!

18+2 today, 20 week scan 2 weeks tomorrow

oliversmummy26 · 11/04/2017 16:11

Oh and getting loads of fluttery kicks and bumps now, they started to get stronger at 18 weeks Smile

ememem84 · 11/04/2017 19:15

Hello! Jumping on board if that's ok. I was on the oct babies one but EDD changed to September so here I am...

Due 28 Sept. and am 15+5 today. Had my 16 week appointment today and heard babies heartbeat for the first time. Had a bit of a cry. 😭

I've started looking at prams. Had no idea how bloody expensive they are!!

Fluffywallow · 11/04/2017 19:21

Welcome eme!

Olivers i get the aching bits too - read that you carry lower with subsequent babies as it's all a bit looser, maybe that's it. It makes me yelp sometimes - especially putting trousers on.

Saw my dr today and she said after 20 weeks to call the surgery and request a matb1 for work and they will leave it behind the desk for me. I also booked my whooping cough jab for 20 weeks.

18+4

ememem84 · 11/04/2017 19:29

Also booked my whooping cough Jab today for my 20 week appointment.

We're going to find out what baby is if we can. I'm excited!!

laurenann23 · 11/04/2017 19:53

Has anyone had little baby flutters yet? I'm 18+6 and not felt anything! Can't help but feel anxious Confused

Travelgeek · 11/04/2017 20:17

I've had my whooping cough with the nurse at the gps a week or so ago. You can have it from 16 weeks apparently.

I need to find out if I can get my matb1 before my 25week midwife appointment as my boss would like it after 20 weeks so she can get the recruitment of my mat leave cover started.

I'm 18+4 and have flutters. I mostly notice when I get in bed and am relaxed and quiet.

Prams are expensive aren't they! I'm sure if you take a look and narrow down a couple you really like you have time to hunt a good second hand one down.

Off work for a week now! Lots of DIY to do but I'll squeeze in watching OBEM on catch up.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 11/04/2017 20:26

Sorry to hear you are in the pelvic pain club Olivers. It's not a fun place. I generally feel like I've been kicked when I try to stand up.

I have started to feel quite a feel little digs now in my lower stomach and had my 20 week scan today which revealed it's a boy! Feels very real now. Starting to look through all DS' old baby clothes and realising quite how much I saved...

Thank you nice people for reminding me to book the whooping cough jab!

SuziePink · 11/04/2017 21:13

I was told today about the whooping cough jab and had already managed to forget! Must book that before I forget again.

What does the pelvic pain feel like and what can help relieve it? Not that I'm experiencing it at the moment but just in case I do in the future, plus I'm training to be a yoga teacher so it would be useful for when I'm teaching pregnant ladies.
