Haha Red! My kind of girl!

user1490291922 · 06/04/2017 18:30

I've just sat and devoured a family size packet of crisps without realising. It was only when my hand went in the bag for another to find it was empty that I realised Grin whoops!! 18 weeks today and starting to have a bit of lower back pain especially if I stand or walk for long periods of time! Can't believe how quick this pregnancy is going!!

EssentialHummus · 06/04/2017 18:54

user large bags of Doritos seem to vanish in this house Grin

organixeveryday · 06/04/2017 19:04

@Frilly , I'm due in November with dc2 (partners first child though) and he's majorly worrying about how he's going to get through his APC in April 2018 , do you think it's achievable ?

organixeveryday · 06/04/2017 19:09

Only saying this as he was very worried about it all when I got my positive test , he wanted to delay ttc til after , I think he'll be fine and it's just extra motivation!

SuziePink · 06/04/2017 19:34

I've gone right off sweet and greasy food. I think being pregnant might be the best diet ever!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 06/04/2017 20:13

organixeveryday does he need to sit in April? When is his submission deadline? I suppose if he completed his submissions and critical analysis (not sure whether all routes are the same in terms of submission content? I sat rural) before baby was born he would be ok, but ideally in the last three to four months prior to your APC you need to spend quite a lot of time revising and you need to know your submissions inside which takes a long time. I'm actually training to be an APC assessor and the advice we give is to prioritise your APC for the six months working up to your interview, and that will be a massive compromise with a newborn. If he can deal with sitting in autumn it might be an easier slog?

I'm not entirely sure why he needs to sit it all by April, are you saying autumn
2018? Can you pm me !

Welcome newbies!

I keep forgetting about this thread because of the Facebook group.

Sorry people are still feeling crappy. I started with the sickness this week but it only tends to be once or twice a day so I think I've got off mildly. I am however knackered and spotty!!

I have my gender scan tomorrow and I'm so excited!!

16+3

user1490291922 · 06/04/2017 21:31

What is the Facebook group? I'd love to join if possible Smile

Morning! I think chocolate for breakfast is a pregnant woman's prerogative red! (Although it's that sort of attitude that got me to gargantuan proportions with my DD Wink)

Off out to H&M this morning for some more maternity clothes...currently living in one of their jumpers and I'm worried people are noticing Grin.

redjoker · 07/04/2017 09:39

ive upgraded to a brownie today, so thats a tad more breakfast like? midwife on tuesday MUST remember to ask for my form for work

been having a super snotty nose atm but generally feeling less like a sack of s**t. cant wait to have a real bump and not flab so i can get in the mood for maternity clothes

OkyDoke · 07/04/2017 11:12

Hope everyone is well. have been mainly on the facebook group but not many updates from me! 20 week scan on Monday, can't wait to see if we can find out the gender and finally have a bump which has appeared over night!

SuziePink · 07/04/2017 11:21

My current 'post Christmas dinner' bump at 18 weeks

StarWish1 · 07/04/2017 13:17

Hi,
I dropped off the thread for a few weeks as feeling a bit overwhelmed and anxious. Had some spotting over the last couple of weeks (checked out at the EPU twice and they could find the heartbeat so said it was all ok). Also had results from a swab taken at the EPU and I've got BV so need to get some antibiotics.
Just trying to take it a day at a time. On annual leave at the moment but feeling anxious about returning to work and dealing with work and pregnancy stress combined.

flymo79 · 07/04/2017 14:29

Sorry to hear that star, hope all clears up quick and no ill effects from the ab's.

I need some buggy advice all: I'm getting a maxi cosi car seat from a friend who is leaving, with the seat base that fits in to our car, so I need to get a buggy that will take maxi cosi. So far I've read that these are: bugaboo, quinny, baby jogger, icandy and Phil n teds. I need it to be small though as our car isn't massive. And relatively easy to pop up (I had a britax with dd and it wAs a beast, really tough on my back). Ideally I'd also like to be able to fit a buggy board as dd will no doubt become incredibly lazy when new arrival is being squired about!!!
Can anyone advise???

organixeveryday · 07/04/2017 14:35

Bugaboo bee , parent and world facing , easy to pop down and folds pretty small I find

Fluffywallow · 07/04/2017 15:53

Fly we have a bugaboo chameleon which we used with a maxi Cosi car seat and it now has a buggy board attached for DD. Great buggy, easy to put up and down. Fit easily into the smallish car we had when we first had DD (ford focus). I know they cost the earth but it's been worth every penny, alternatively the second hand market is full of them if you don't want to shell out.

Fluffywallow · 07/04/2017 15:54

Star, hope you are ok and you feel a bit better after soon antibiotics Flowers

blu3sky · 07/04/2017 16:26

Hello. Hope it's okay to pop in a bit late. I was in the October thread but scan has put my EDD at 25th Sept now. Unsure how accurate it was as bean was stretching but we'll see I suppose. Still feeling sick though less vomiting now at 15+4. I've been watching my two kids devouring choc easter bunnies enviously. Stupid taste buds have changed and chocolate tastes wrong! Sad

sugarplumfairy2010 · 07/04/2017 17:40

Has anyone been to look at prams yet? I like the look of the bugaboo bee5 online but notsure if its abit early to have a look at it instore yet. Im feeling huge for this stage you couldn't even tell i was pregnant until 25 weeks with my first. Can i join the facebook group aswell please.x

EssentialHummus · 07/04/2017 18:39

sugar that's a lovely bump!

I've become a bit pram obsessed. I'd like something parent-facing that can grow to expand a second if we need it, so have a list of 8 or so to investigate. Trying not to spend too much.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 07/04/2017 18:50

Thankyou. Ive always wanted this pram with my other two but didnt get it as its so expensive but this is my last child so might just go for it if i still like it once ive tried it in the shop. I think im going to wait until around 30 weeks before i start buying the big items but it will probably be easier to test it before i get a massive bump.

Travelgeek · 07/04/2017 18:59

Hello blu. Feel better soon star. Nice bump sugar.

I don't think its too early to look at prams. We went two weeks ago! Went thinking we'd go for a mountain buggy but in the end have plumped for the mamas and papas Occaro. Was really valuable to test drive in the shop.
