i know what you mean i bit of sunshine always gets me motivated think thats why summer lways seems happier!! seem to get everything done in summer!! my dh the same unless its hot too then he gets the energy to have a bbq lol - i shouldnt be so horrible weather doesnt effect him really if we plan a busy day he is very good at getting motivated - he just one of those who sees sunshine and spends hours cleaning car!

anneme · 10/03/2007 18:33

SOH - big hugs. Keep talking to us all because we really care. Also try an emergency appt with Dr. DHs do find pregnancy stressful as well so keep that in mind - and that is without all the s**t you have been going through.

LO not being as perfect wee wise as he was - still some nights changing bedding - aargh. Also he is being "lively" at nursery - you're telling me....

MKG · 11/03/2007 18:02

hi everyone,

this is our first nice weekend in a long time. I love it. Well I put the house back together, and am going to paint ds' new bed and hopefully get in in his room at some point this week. Have a Dr's appointment on Tuesday. I'm just excited to get the to 30 week mark next Saturday. The 20's have gone by so slow.

I don't mind internal exams so much. Maybe it's because I have no shame. I don't mind how many people look at my "vajayjay" I can't wait for someone to tell me my status with this pregnancy.

Well reflux has set in for me. I hope it's because this little guy has settled in position and is reking havoc on my stomach.

cinnamontam · 11/03/2007 18:20

Hey all - the weather has been so lovely so I'm guessing that explains the 2mins it took me to catch up on everything since Friday night. Got to be a first

Had a lovely weekend but pretty knackered and got a good 3 hours laptop time ahead of me this evening to prepare for a meeting tomorrow. Then I'm off to Boston for a week's holiday to stay with a very good friend of mine from Oz. Got a bit scared as it was -14C last week but apparently it shouldn't get below 0 this week Will do lots of shopping. Thinking of you all and hope that some of you have a much better week than last week.
xx

AbbyLou · 11/03/2007 19:43

Hi all, I agree there's not too much to catch up on tonight.
Laura - hope things are better with your dh. They can be a real pain can't they. Mine was at work until 10.30pm last night, again all day today and now he's gone to a leaving do he 'can't get out of'! I don't mind being here on my own but ds really misses him like mad and plays me up because he wants his dad. Having said that he has been a little star today so I can't really complain.
MKG - Is reflux the same as heartburn? I had that really badly last pregnancy but this time (crosses fingers)I seem to have escaped it altogether.
Cinnamon- hope you have a lovely time in Boston. Hope it's warmed up a bit, -14 sounds like hell.
Weather here has been lovely which means at least ds been able to get out in the garden this weekend. Had a rather embarassing situation with neighbours today. I put some washing on the line and then ds and I went to Tescos to get the papers and a bit of shopping. When I got back the washing was blowing like mad but I thought nothing of it. Next thing I know my 60-odd year old neighbour is knocking on my door with all my big maternity pants and bras asking 'Are these yours, they've blown into our garden?' I was so embarassed but I think he was too which was the only saving grace!!
I've got some work to do tonight too Cinammon. Although I am leaving work in 3 weeks time, before the next term starts, school have asked me to plan for the next half term so it's all ready for the teacher who is taking over. I think it's a bit cheeky really, I hope she does the same for me when I go back!

JonahB · 11/03/2007 19:56

Hi Ladies,

I haven't been on here for absolutely ages, cos I can't keep up with you (sorry, wish I could). Hope you are all well and okay.

I actually thought of MKG on sat as I was walking through the foodhall at Selfidges (posh department store) and saw some marshmallow fluff. It was exactly as you described. It even said on the recommendations, "Popular in the US on sandwiches with peanut butter". Made me smile.

SOH - I'm really sorry you and your DH are going through this. I do agree with all the other advice the ladies are providing. He really does need to see a dr. It could suffering from a depression-type illness, not helped by the current work situation). I really hope things look up for you both next week and you start feeling a little better.

right, i'll catch up in another 2 months time . Take care.....

Juicylucytoo · 11/03/2007 19:57

Hi all, yes, looks like the good weather has kept everyone busy away from their computers this weekend.

Cin - how did you find the baby show yesterday?? I was a bit overwhelmed by it all and thought I should have "planned" better to make the most of the special offers. I didn't know what I needed and what was good to buy, so only bought 2 sleepsuits! It was a bit mad by the time we arrived at 11:30.
Note to self - next time there's a baby show get there at 9:30!!

Laura, sounds like your DH needs a bit of a dressing down for treating you like that. Git-ish behaviour of the highest order

JonahB - looks like it'll be easier to follow the more the sun shines, so there's hope for us all we'll be able to keep up in the summer!

Hello everyone, have just quickly caught up. I got home at 6ish this evening after a very nice weekend. Managed a night off from all the kids on sat (their dad had them) so i fel like a new mommy! A whole 5 hours in a row, bliss.

They are all in bed now, ds#3 and 4 are so snotty, croaky and coughy. I should really do a trip to the docs tomorrow but dd has an assembly and i have to race back for the asda shop to be delivered. An emergency appointment would be in the morning, this is the trouble when your on your own and have no one a round to help. You are stuck.

Never mind, sure it's just a nasty virus and the doc would turn us away with nothing anyway.

The doc gave me a prescription for my SPD the other day but as i dont have my mat exemption certificate the chemist wouldnt give it to me! I have a HUGE bump but still no??? So i have to go back to the docs, apply for the certificate and then wait for it to arrive in the post! Pallaver, i never had it before, anyone else had this?

Am off to drink coke and eat chocolate tart that MIL sent me home with (love her)

Chat tomorrow xxxx

cinnamontam · 11/03/2007 21:22

LG&T - Did the stupid woman have any other thoughts as to what your bump might be? Masquerading pillow maybe? What a twit.

Juicy - I finally got there about 3pm with a mate from work who is also preggers. It wasn't too mental by then but definitely overwhelming. I didn't buy anything!!! Mainly because I've bought a few big things off eBay but still don't really have a clue as to what i need to buy in the way of bedding and clothes. It will probably end up with me sending DH out in a mad panic to pick up clothing as the tea towel Bean is wrapped in is starting to fray I'm also hoping to do some serious shopping in the States and whenever I looked at the price in ££ I realised I'd be spenindg USD$ in 2 days and so probably half the price.

Was nice to see so any belly's though

AbbyLou - it's 9.21pm and all i have done is personal emails to family and friends since 7pm. Arghhhhhh - the work is yet to be touched. Good luck with your work this evening and damn straight I hope the woman does the same for you so when you get back it's all organised.

cinnamontam · 11/03/2007 21:22

So 'many' belly's i meant to say

scootermum · 12/03/2007 06:37

Hi all,
Cant believe I havent been on in a week, so much to catch up on..
TYG glad your baby didnt come in the end!SOH,Im so sorry for you and dh.Hope this week gives you some time to rest at least, and that dh gets to his gp...but I guess your on hols now...

Had a very busy week last week which is why I was AWOL.Work was insane and I had to try to get another chunk of study done before Thurs, which I managed but only by staying up till 11 every night going at it..Then DH and I have been away for the weekend to North Yorks.I had been really looking forward to the break as we left dd with my mum, and we did have a lovely time except dh managed to arrange that we would go to his Mums for lunch yesterday at 1pm which meant we only really got one day away which I was a bit gutted about.MIL then spent at least three hours yesterdaya fternoon saying, 'i dont know how you'll cope with two babies and no help-cant you keep dd at childminder a day a week-it'll be murder'etc etc, which royally pissed me off.As have explained to her ad finitum we cant afford for dd to carry on at childminder whilst im off even for one day a week and at the end of the day whilst I appreciate it will be hard sometimes and I am worried sometimes about managing, I ve no choice but to cope and on the other hand is there no small possibility that I will be fine?!I lost my temper in the end and had to go for a walk to calm down and avoid making a scene.DH managed to get quite drunk last night and has been snoring so ive had no sleep, until at 5am he got up to be sick!So he will be useless today.I have a shed load of work to do which im just about to start, (might as well as no sleep to be had) and we have to drive back home later and do all the unpacking and washing etc-so the relaxing weekend has ended with me being very tired and grouchy as you can no doubt tell!Sorry all..

On the bright side though we have had one offer on our house, but they have to sell theirs so im not counting on it and a second veiwing tonight at 7 from someone else, so keeping everything crossed as cant be bothered keeping it clean much longer.I was like a dervish last week cleaning between work and study and dd time so it would be a relief to be able to relax on that front a bit.So lets hope...
Anyway will be on a bit more this week I hope-have missed you ladies...

scootermum · 12/03/2007 06:40

TYG-Meant to say was in that Sainsburys local at the top of your road last week, (bit stalkerish sorry) and I was quite moved by how nice all the staff were. This sounds so sad, but I was having a total nightmare that day and they were so lovely and helped me out at my hour of need that I was practically sobbing with gratitude by the time I left.I want you to shop there at all times in future as I believe it to be the Mecca of all shops!

scootermum · 12/03/2007 06:44

The same thing happened to me gandt, at the chemists when I'd left my card at home. Most annoying becuase id been in the day before for something else and used the card and had a long chat about due date and etc with the woman behind the counter which she remembered becuase she refferred to it when I was there this second time.Ruddy jobsworth pharmacist...
save me some chocolate tart lady...

aprilmeadow · 12/03/2007 07:52

Morning all

Cina - hope you managed to plough through all of your work last night.

Cina & JLT - I think you were brave to tackle the baby show! No way i could have gone as i would have been tempted by too many things!

LG&T - Sorry to hear that the kiddies are still suffering from the snots. I hope you manage to avoid it. Have you heard from MrsJB via text since she has been away?

SOH - hope you had calm, relaxing weekend, if poss. And hope that you are less sore from your accident.

Jonahb - good to 'see' you again. Please do try and pop in when you can.

Scoot - fingers crossed that you get a sensible offer/buyer before too long. I am so pleased that that is behind us. Took bloody ages for us to finally move and that was after we had a buyer placed by the housing assc. We told them a year ago this week that we wanted to sell up and it took until the end of November for us to move in here!

Think thats me caught up!

We had a busy weekend. Dh painted ds's bedroom and re-arranged it. The difference is unbelieveable. It's a fair good size room anyway, but they had painted it a dull dirty blue and this made it look fairly small. We have painted it the same creamy white as the nursery on three walls and then a nice blue (china blue) on the fourth wall. With the new paint and moving of the furniture it looks almost twice the size! Thought as dh was on a diy roll that whilst i was in b&q getting more of the paint that i would get the paint for the hallway, just incase he gets the painting urge again! This whole house is painted such yukky colours, they're either really right or dull and dirty. We have decided to paint the hall, landings and stairs, kitchen and lounge in a magnolia colour just to try and make everywhere seen bigger and brighter. Our room will be a coffee/cream colour scheme.

Sorry to bore you all with my diy story!

Ordered the very last thing for the baby this weekend. The cot bumper. I said to dh that we could use the same one we had for ds even though it's a purple/blue/lime colour to which he agreed as is saved pennies, however now that the nursery is all done he has decided that we need a pink one to match. made me laugh that he could be so picky

Hope you all have a good day. Catch you later.

cinnamontam · 12/03/2007 08:45

Hey AM - the rooms sound great. I keep thinking that you are getting so much done so early but then I remember you are due beginning of May not end like me so a whole month in front

Does Jack like his new room?

Got 'some' work done last night. Trying to finish it off this morning before the meeting. Yuck
