We all seem to be having a tough time of it in one way or another so this seemed quite appropriate somehow!

Ellie, you make me laugh You start up a thread and then make all the posts, bless you!!!! Thanks for doing all the emails for us and setting up the new threads, someone needs to take us all in hand.

My heat rash is still lurking, thought it'd gone but came back last night and am now itching in random places but mainly my tummy. Will be telling mw all about it on wed but as blood tests were clear i'm not sure what she can do for me

Off into town on my own this morning to do a bit of brwosing whilst dd at pre school. Why can't she be there more than 2 1/2 hours? Will also pay my remortagage cheque in and then i'll be able to pay off the credit cards, at last, now that will be a weight off my mind... aaahh

Ellieump · 05/03/2007 08:07

i was bored and couldn't sleep for coughing so much, and i'm not here now until tomorrow night so had to get my fix somehow

Eddas · 05/03/2007 08:14

Coughs are crap aren't they, specially the tickly ones. Have fun tonight see you tomorrow

maveta · 05/03/2007 08:47

Morning! Thanks for the new thread Ellie, you are a star! Thanks for the mothercare link, none of them are near me unfortunately but might still call them and see if I can get a catalogue and order from e.g. Madrid instead of London. Should be somewhat cheaper at least!

Feeling YUK today, woke up at 1am to feel vomit rising all the way into my mouth (sorry tmi). Didn´t puke but spent the next hour laying there feeling anxious about being sick in my sleep. Got up at 2am and sat on the sofa totally spaced out for about another hour with my stomach making very dody gurgling gassy sounds but no vomiting. Baby was moving a LOT too which up til now hasn´t happened at that time of night. Finally went back to bed but was up a few times for the loo and spent the rest of the time tossing and turning. Still feel ´weird´ this morning, stomach still making noises and don´t feel nauseous exactly but have a kind of apprehensive feeling that anything I ingest may just come back up. To be honest it would probably be better if it did!

Luckily not working today so planning to take it easy. uurughhghglll..

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/03/2007 08:48

Morning all.

Just a quick drop in before heading to work. How is everyone today?

I feel awful today. Baby moving like a maniac, pain in ribs, and also feel slightly dizzy/fuzzy headed.

Sorry to come and complain first thing - I suppose I am just a bit worried as never felt as sh** with Becky.

Right, need to get B to get her clothes on and brush her teeth - joy. I don't have the energy!!

See you later.

xx

maveta · 05/03/2007 09:06

Quick question re. Strep B. I think it is a routine test here, am going to call mw to double check, but at any rate I am not booked in for another appt with her for my final round of tests until i am 38 weeks.. isn´t this leaving it a bit late?? I did think it at the time but never said anything, what do you guys reckon?

claricebean · 05/03/2007 09:29

Hi girls,

Well DH is back here, thank goodness. He's still not well and waiting for a consultant appt in London but at least I have some moral support and he can look after DS so I don't have to take the buggy out and go the long way round on the school run IYSWIM.

Sorry about the bad night and the feeling sh** maveta and SOSPL. I didn't have a great night either - slept fitfully for no real reason.

Maveta, re strep B I had mine last week when I was 34 weeks. It's standard here and I had it at the same time with DS. 38 weeks does seem late as it takes a while to get the results back and they're not much use to you after labour.

Well I had a month to go yesterday!! So exciting. While I was lying awake last night I was thinking that our DC birthdays are on the 1st, 11th and 21st (of different months) so maybe there's a pattern there and this one'll come a few days early on 31st March. The things that you think about at 4am!! I bet she'll be the only one I go over my due date with now .

Hope everyone else is OK. Off to load the dishwasher and washing machine. Catch ya later

hensden · 05/03/2007 09:57

Morning all, havig real trouble posting, between builders cutting wires and DH losing vital parts of computer when moving it I've been MNless.
Just a quick pop in before i try to catch up
Eddas you are just down the road from me...
I'm in Chart Sutton and will pass your way on the way to the hospital Our hospital is CR*P isn't it, every time I see the midwife she stresses that they like to get you out as soon after birth as possible
1day+night for new mums, same day for next baby and only 2 days for CS. I don't want to stay in any longer than I have too but it would be nice to have the option. They've also got lots of nasty bugs/diseases there at the moment (wish I could have a home birth).. off to catch up now back later, all being well

octopussyintummy · 05/03/2007 10:05

Morning everyone

Back on schol crisis - more tears DS2 can't stay in preschool until a place becomes available - they don't take them once they reach school age even though they don't have to go untilthey are 5.

When I spoke to the preschool they said other parents had called asking the same - and they lived a bit further away from me but also have older children at the school.

Trying to getthrough to appeal people but as you can imagine the phone is constantly engaged! Off to ring estate agents ...

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 10:14

[[hugs] Octo - Don't know what to say, but I hoping it can be sorted soon hon.

Cough still here, sounds like I've been smoking forty a day since I was 6!! Yuk!

DD1 off to toddler group with friend, DD2 sleeping and DH about to pop into work to do some last minute bits and bobs - Just catching up here and then back to the packing list ......

Nervous and excited!! Must remember PG notes....

Any more BH and "warm leakage" (TMI !) mammyjo or pesha? I've decided this bubba's coming on the 12th and DH has decided on the 16th (of April, NOT March!!)

Currently waiting for news from a friend who is due on Wed - hoping she'll have her bubba before I leave so I can see her and give her lovely gifts and cuddles etc!! Come on baby!!

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 10:14

Oooooh, and we are officially on Broadband now ..... Sooooo much better!! Yippee!

Bramshott · 05/03/2007 10:16

Oh Octopussy - what a nightmare for you re schools! Any chance that some people may not take up the places they've been offered and more may become available over the next few weeks? Must be the last thing you need right now. Hope you can get the appeal in motion quickly.

Have tried to catch up on what's been going on over the weekend. Mammyjo & Pesha - hope you're both doing okay and no babies quite yet!! DH kept asking me over the weekend "you're not going to have it tonight are you", as he poured himself out more wine! Could become quite a theme over the next few weeks, although he tells me that as of next weekend he's going to make sure he's always under the limit.

Got baby clothes and bits down from the loft over the weekend so feel kind of like we're all set. As DD was small and prem though, I can't help thinking that this one is going to arrive too big for lots of it. Spent quite a lot of yesterday going mushy over 'up to 7lbs' size vests - ahhhhhh! I've also found I've got 2 door bouncers so if anyone wants one, do shout before I take it to Oxfam. I also have a spare moses basket and baby gym, but they are both quite old and trashed.

Good sleep last night (as opposed to Sat night terrible indigestion and not much sleep) so am feeling ready to face the week with equanimity. We went swimming yesterday, and I couldn't believe that even in the lovely warm water of the learner pool, where I was just sitting around and not swimming at all, I STILL felt heavy and uncomfortable . Roll on getting this baby out is all I can say, although I'd like another 2 weeks to get sorted first - just please God not another 7 weeks!!

35+1 (and counting!)

Bramshott · 05/03/2007 10:17

Ooh, CD - when are you off??

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 10:27

Off tomorrow - catching train about 11am, flight at 2.30pm -

I got DD2's premmy stuff out the other day too - I am sure this bubba is bigger than that already!

maveta · 05/03/2007 10:30

Thanks for the info Claricebean - that´s more like what I thought. Am going to call the midwife and check and if I´m not happy I´ll just go to my private gp and pay for the test.

Just chased Toysrus about the mattress for the cot which STILL hasn´t arrived after 6 weeks. Haven´t paid for it, just ordered but they said a month at most. They were just crap saying that they have no idea when new stock will arrive, no they can´t check, no they can´t tell me when it might be, there are like ooooh 6 people ahead of me in the list for these mattresses and it could be another month or longer.!!! Can´t believe they can´t call someone to find out! Luckily baby will be in moses basket for a wee while but hardly the point, what crap service

Also I think my cat that had the dodgy eye is unwell AGAIN. He´s not been himself since he hurt his eye, just much quieter than usual. Normally he´s a right chatterbox and lately he seems. Well, depressed, to be honest DH mentioned today that he thinks he isn´t pooing so I´ve given his tummy (the cat, not dh) quite a hard massage and it feels quite firm and he seemed to like it. Not in a weird way just normally I can only touch his tummy so much and then he starts to play-bite me or wriggle around. Tried to call vet but busy. Recommendations for a possibly constipated cat?

Octopussy - sorry about school problems, really hope they sort it out so you don´t get any more stressed about it.

CD when are you off on holiday? Where are you going again? Sorry, I blame pregger brain!!

Whendoobygotstuckupthechimney · 05/03/2007 10:39

Octopussy..so sorry about school probs.I really hope it gets sorted.
CD enjoy yer hols[i want broadband]It hasn't reached us yet!
Can't remember now who it was that said their baby slept after a weekThat is brilliant! My ds was an appalling sleeper. He first slept through the night when he was 4 and we moved to a bungalow[he likes houses without stairs!]I have ordered the Lindam day and night feeder so maybe this baby will sleep through
Weeonion i hope you are ok sounds like a stressy time.STAY STRONG...This is about you your dh and your baby and no-one else!
They can wait till you are ready.
I am being very firm..it's taken me a decade or so but it is worth it
Hope we all have ba good day

octopussyintummy · 05/03/2007 10:41

Maveta - I used toysrus - crap service - would cancel it and order through someone else!

School crisis still in full swing! Thing is do we want to move to a village just for the school or should we move to a house we really like which has a school we like for both of them? Or should I look at private schooling for ds2 until a space becomes available at the other one - the lady at the council said will probably be about mid April for the appeal panel hearings - more tears!

Off to sort my head out and drink tea!

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 10:44

"Drink tea" - good idea hon! Home Schooling? Build your own school? Mmmmmm.....

I've heard bad things about Toyrus / Babiesrus service too - Grrrr!

Bramshott · 05/03/2007 10:48

Also meant to say, I saw that Ooogs was on another thread on Fri, so I don't think she's had her DTs yet, but had been back in hospital I think. Now I sound like a stalker too Katy!

I was also going to point 1b3 and Ooogs in the direction of this lovely thread here - if you haven't seen it already girls! Some lovely comments from Leo who has just brought her two babies home.

claricebean · 05/03/2007 10:54

Octopussy - sorry about school stuff. What a nightmare. Just what you don't need now. We're lucky here as our school is lovely and undersubscribed as it doesn't have a breakfast club or dining room for lunch, so no use for working mums.

CD - where are you off to? Sorry, seem to have missed out on some gossip along the way.

Maveta - sorry about cat and cot issues!

My new pg symptom is the dreaded haemorroids. ... DH is on hand with the rhyming slang jokes to make me feel better - sigh - Emma Freuds, Chalfonts etc etc. Makes walking so much more painful - [ouch emoticon}

Well, DS and I off to the supermarket and bank in a min.

1becomes3 · 05/03/2007 10:57

Well it is official I am 33 weeks today. IS THAT ALL!!!!

I'm not the happiest of spring bunnies at the moment, all of a sudden I seem to be very very painful, can't get comfertable anywhere, have had no sleep due to the fact that I am in constant pain.

I know it's a terrible thing to come on here first thing after the weekend and moan but, it really hurts

I am going to have SEX tonight see if i can't get the little buggers out of me, really don't think I can last another 5 weeks.

I hope you are all alright. LOL and HUGS.
