We all seem to be having a tough time of it in one way or another so this seemed quite appropriate somehow!

Octopussy - for what it's worth, I think kids are more adaptable than we think they are at primary age, and if you need to move your DS1 in order to get them both (and then this one when it comes to that point) into a school you're happy with, then you should do that. If I've understood your questions correctly, I'd be more tempted to go for option 2 "move to a house we really like which has a school we like for both of them", then move purely because of the school DS1 is in now. Partly I guess because you're potentially going to have the same problem in 4 years time with this baby. Private school could be a choice, but only if you're sure that a space is going to come up - a friend did this for a year after they moved and could only get 1 of their DCs into the school they wanted - now both are in the same (state) school and doing fine. Sorry, that's really rambly, just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and your dilemmas.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/03/2007 11:04

Octopussy, so sorry you are having a nightmare re schools. It is a nightmare isn't it. I hope you can get something sorted.

I get so hacked off with the lack of schools/dentists etc. They keep on building ruddy houses, but do not think about the services required to manage. I get so cross about it.

Clarice, glad your dh is back and really hope his health issues can be resolved soon.

Maveta, sorry about your cat. No tips here I'm afraid. I would however suggest you see the vet first before bringing out the laxatives - which I am sure you will do - see the vet first that is!

Do you think I should be worried about the baby moving so much - honestly, it doesn't stop all day - I am worried it is distressed. Any thoughts?

maveta · 05/03/2007 11:22

sorry that I´m not alone in feeling rotten! Although you know ´misery loves company´! So I guess we´re in the right place

Definitely NOT going with toysrus then if others have had bad experiences.. have called vet and gave him all the symptoms and am going off now to pick up a laxative. I really hope this doesn´t backfire (boom boom!) on us...

Claricebean - haemorriods! ouch! have you got your doughnut cushion to hand?

1B3 - must be really drastic if you´re even considering S.E.X. have to say we´ve managed to keep up at least once a week until recently which I thought was ok, considering, but can´t see it happening again for a while.. even dh said yesterday he was resigning himself to a long dry spell but he seemed pretty good humoured about it. The question is, will he feel the same in another few weeks/months time??! Think the topic came up after we went for our siesta and evidently he must have been hoping for a bit and I went out like a light for 1.5hours Sorry dh!!!

Octopussy - not having any direct first hand experience of your situation any advice I give is prob. pretty useless but I reckon go for the house you like and a new school you like for both?? I agree private is fine if you know he´ll get in at a later date but if he doesn´t you´ll be back in this situation a little bit further down the line. Good luck. x

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 11:36

[[hugs]] 1B3 - You must be desperate!!!! Hope they come soon, you poor uncomfortable thing - You must be HUGE!!

Half-ay through DD1's Birthday Thank You's - They just don't seem to end!! Still waiting for DH to come back - where has he got to!!? Mmmmmm .... Have lovely friend who I've not seen in ages coming over for lunch, so that will be nice!

Msut do more packing, must do more packing ......

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 11:37

SOSPL - I don't thik you have anything to worry about hon - I have a VERY fiesty LO in here too - pushing and poking ALL the time - REALLY hurts ow ow ow - Never had this much movement with my other two - Hope that makes you feel better - you are not alone!!

1becomes3 · 05/03/2007 11:45

SOSPL-If you are really worried just phone the MW, have to say mine are non-stop 24-7, I think when babies are distressed they tend to become more quiet than lively.
But then again what do I know (not a bloody lot)

C.D- you would think that I would be the size of a house by now, but I think I have reached my limit that is why it is so painful, can feel every little bit of both babies as they are really close to the surface, one is in my ribs constantly and the other is head butting my fanjo constantly! (fun)

mammyjo · 05/03/2007 11:46

Morning all. Still here and still feeling sickly but have managed some breakfast.

Maveta and SOSPL, sorry to hear you are feeling ropey, hope you both feel better soon. Mav, hope the cat is ok and chooses to explode outside rather than in the house when the time comes. Poor thing, can sympathise with the constipation!

Octo, really feel for you with the whole school business. As if life isnt stressful and emotional enough right now there is something else thrown into the mix. Hope you can sort something out.

WO, hope you are feeling a bit less stressed now. Just remember we are all here for you when you are ready for a chat. Its a shame that visitors cant think back to when they had their children and remember their own need for space. My mum is driving me nuts just now crowding me and telling everyone how I am struggling to cope. Not being funny but yes its hard. Not only for me though, its the same for every pregnant woman at this stage. I swear she would love it if I just cracked and said I cant cope thus giving her licence to take over. I bloody well wont though!! I havent even mentioned to her about my watery bits and my show because she would be on the phone every 5 minutes to check I am ok. I know she means well but I could scream sometimes!

Hope everyone is doing ok today. 1b3, I will only be using sex as a last resort but feel for you. I am uncomfortable so cannot even think how things must feel for you with two babies. You deserve a medal for getting this far!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/03/2007 12:07

Thanks all. I know I am worrying unnecessarily, and I would prefer to feel movement as opposed to not.

Maveta, hope your poor cat is ok - definitely make sure he can access outside for him to do his large business! Eughhh!

Eddas · 05/03/2007 12:30

Hensden,I go through there on my way to work, well did before ML! How strange. Yes our hospital is a bit rubbish especially the bits about bringing in your own bottles. Looks like they'll chuck me out as soon as I pop then all being well as this is my 2nd. Won't pack for a long stay

Is this your first? Sorry can't remember if you've already said!

Will pack some antibac spray or something too as there are a lot of bugs in there at the moment.Nice!!

mmk · 05/03/2007 12:35

Thank you for pointing me here 1becoems3!

Hello to you all, hope things are going (mostly) well.
This is the start of my last week at work, and I'm so glad, I'm really having trouble concentrating.

Got more stuff out of the attic at the weekend. We have literally tons and tons of unecessary stuff (eg a car seat blanket, a car seat waterfproof cover, car seat footmuff with hood) We got my pram out, and it was a good idea. It needs some work, and covers washing. Also, we can't really remember how to work it!
The nursery looks like a tip again. Got my guilt free Tushie nappies too.

DH lost the cot bolts, but luckily, we got some free spare ones from Babies R us.

We are as ready as we can be. Ds Nursery told me to get a full time space in Nov I'd have to register the baby now, how spooky is that? Mind you, the nursery if totally fab.

It's ironic that having spent all our money, and years and years of IVF to create our family, that I now have to go back to work when the baby is only 9 months old. I feel so very bad about it. I@m praying for well paid part time work!

I wish everyone a happy week, and hope you are all feeling better than I am! Someone had a good description, about having a canon ball strapped to your tummy, so true.

Eddas · 05/03/2007 12:41

I think i look like i've got mike from monsters inc in my tummy(DD is a big fan)

For anyone who isn't aware what he looks like here's a link!!!this

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/03/2007 14:18

God, where is everyone? All having afternoon naps?? I wish I could, as I feel knackered - again!

Trying to write a manual for when I leave and someone else has to pick up the pieces. It is so hard, as I just do things by nature and without thinking about it!

Maveta, has your cat done his business yet?

Hi MMK.

mmk · 05/03/2007 14:29

I'm at my desk, but can barely keep my eyes open!
DS came running into our bed this morning, at 6.20. DH finally took him back to his bed after 15 mins of him jumping all over me/us, but DS was back 10 mins later.

DS was a little angel all weekend, when we did load of visiting. I've never known him be soo good.

We're all waiting for good news about the cat...

How long have got to go at work Saxon?

mammyjo · 05/03/2007 14:36

My ds has taken to coming in to me by between half six and seven lately too. Not fair! I seem to fall asleep deeply at around 3am after many toilet trips so could really do with a bit extra sleep at that time of the day!

mammyjo · 05/03/2007 14:38

Weeonion, hope you are ok after your weekend.

mmk · 05/03/2007 14:48

Is anyone as sad as me? When Ds was expected, I got info on every mother and baby group nearby, and plotted my week around them! The only time I was at home was Thursdays, when I did the housework. Ah, it was a great life.
Nearly all the groups are still going, so that's me sorted!
I don't drive, so went everywhere by walking and bus, so lost weight quite well too. I'm looking forward to the baby times.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/03/2007 14:53

MMK, I finish work on the 16th March, so have a good 6 weeks (assuming don't give birth early) in which to get organised.

Becky has been coming in a bit early too. I seem to remember she did this last year, and we put it down to the oncoming change in the clocks. Could be a coincidence, but our friends ds was doing the same.

maveta · 05/03/2007 14:58

No news on my cat´s bowel movements but i´m sure i´ll let you know - sorry to those who really really don´t want to know! Apparently it could take a couple of days though.. eeew. on a good note, the vet didn´t charge me for the laxative or the advice - made a nice change!

mmk · 05/03/2007 14:59

I'm with you mammyjo. The insomnia is really getting to me now, I usually fall asleep properly around 3am too. Im usually wandering around in the dark, looking for more water, inhaler, Gaviscon etc!
Usually DS can't get out of bed at all in the morning, but when I'm totally exhausted, seems to be his favourite time for waking early!

Luckily for me DH rubs my back until I fall asleep, which is pure heaven.

1becomes3 · 05/03/2007 15:38

DD is the same as your DC's and has been getting up an hour earlier, it doesn't sound alot but i am sleeping so poorly at the moment being up an extra hour is really taking it out of me.
(and being pg doesn't help)
I wouldn't mind but she isn't going to bed an hour earlier!

Dh is getting on my nerves, he keeps complaining about the food I am giving him for dinner, rather than prepairing evrything from scratch I have been buying ready made meals and stuff you can just bung in the oven as I just don't have the energy to cook. sometimes he can be so selfish, I just don't think he understands what a huge thing it is to be growing another life inside you, let alone 2

Sorry for being such a miserable bint today I guess it is just one of those bad days
Think I am going to try and have a nap before I have to start dinner.

hensden · 05/03/2007 15:57

yay, just won some ME nappies on ebay, everytime i've bid on others they've been withdrawn because of the new ebay rules it's mad.
Eddas this will be my third, already got DS8 and DD3, with DD they made me stay in hospital for 7 days because I refused iduction after leaking waters. MW says no way this time 'cos there's not enough room
Octo - really feel for you and your school problems no easy answer really hope something comes up for you and DS.
Maveta I've never met a constipated cat(that I know of) hope things get moving soon
1B3 we appreciate what a great job you're doing, our discomfort x2, men have no idea. My DH is just the same, MMK sounds like you've got your self a good one though.

Katy44 · 05/03/2007 16:02

Hello everyone
I have my scan a week today - place your bets now on blue/pink bean

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 16:13

Can't be long, DD2 climbing up stairs exclaming: "Where mummy? Where mummy?"

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 16:13

I'm placing a bet on Pink for you Katy!

mmk · 05/03/2007 16:14

Katy44, we just need a bit of insider info, like are you eating/craving salty foods, or sugar, fruit and juice?
