Placemarking and want to add another vote for pickled onion monster munch, sadlynot available here ☹️

nursebickypegs · 12/03/2017 04:42

@RasperryInAMelon haha! Sounds about right! DH has epilepsy and a few years ago was admitted to hospital. The nurses were going "are you lucky being married to a nurse!" & he was like no it's not, im in here to get sympathy as I don't get none at home! It's true, even after a seizure I'm like, you're fine! Walk it off! 😂

Woke up feeling sick as a dog. My appetite has gone out the window these past few days. Make a meal, sit down to eat, I don't want it. Anyone else like this? I'm going to try a few days "grazing" and just having healthy snacks instead.

1004Rise · 12/03/2017 05:02

Oh yeay, 4.30 am and I'm awake again can't even blame a drunken phone call from DH. At least baby is awake keeping me company! Hope you got back to sleep Rasperry Smile*

Vanilla swimming is awesome, I'm amazed when I get in at how normal I feel, then amazed when I get out how heavy bump is Confused

Haven't bought a sleepyhead either... Amazon have them on prime delivery so if I'm despairing at 3 am I know I can get one quickly if I've tried everything else. Smile Can't see us co-sleeping, convinced that either I or DH will punch baby in our sleep... good start black eye for first HV visit!

Congrats on the offer on the house ticky one step closer!! Smile Glad you enjoyed your baby shower, good to take your mind off everything else and when it's a surprise no time to worry about being the centre of attention!

My internal thermostat is broken, I go from freezing to throwing the quilt off melting Confused

nursebickypegs · 12/03/2017 05:07

I am convinced I've left my swimming costume at the pool on my last visit Sad I would search the house but I'm so tired I'll have to nap in between!

Badgerbird · 12/03/2017 05:21

Oh god why are we all awake again?!?! SadAngryConfused

This fecking insomnia is slowly killing me I'm sure Sad another long day on the stall tomoz with hardly any sleep. Been awake since 2? 3? But stuck in hotel room so nowhere to escape too..

ticky I think it sounds really lovely :) I know my friends are organising a lunch together or something.

Yes nurse my appetites weird again. DH has made a couple of really lovely dinners recently but they have been too rich or "tasty" for me if that makes sense?! I'm back into wanting more basic bland food again. Just give me a jacket spud!

raspberry shame you got woken but have a fab holibobs together :)

nursebickypegs · 12/03/2017 05:25

@Badgerbird I wake up every night about 430am. Angry I'm going to make a cup of tea and catch some more sleep. I think I get uncomfortable and wake up.

I'm obsessing again over bland food too! Beans on toast, egg on toast... toast in general! I can't seem to eat a whole meal either, it's just too much.

Badgerbird · 12/03/2017 05:34

Oh nurse make me a cuppa whilst you're at it please!! :) Brew Trying not to punch my lovely DH who is snoring next to me.. Alarms going off in a couple of hours.... yay! Confused

1004Rise · 12/03/2017 05:53

Nurse if you're getting up I'd love some toast, not so much tea though, still can't drink it Envy

I wouldn't mind waking up if I wasn't quite so awake... or if I was awake for a reason ...

Seriously considering toast now....

Badgerbird · 12/03/2017 06:10

I'm with you rise, why oh why are we wake?!?? Bloody starving now and hotel won't do brekky till later Sadseriously considering just getting dressed and going out, have a look at the sea, maybe find some breakfast, might as well... enjoy your toast! :)

mightymouse76 · 12/03/2017 07:14

Morning!
I've had a veritable lay in this morning until 6.15! Body obviously gave in after yesterday. I'm normally up at 5ish without fail and I'm so fun by 7pm as a result.

Thanks for the recovery tips. I managed a handful of salty pretzels late last night and some more kids watery juice cartons (all from my hospital bag!) and am going to venture some plain porridge now, once I've untangled myself from this body pillow

badger I hope you get fed soon! I travelled to Amsterdam for work recently and the hotel I stayed in didn't have any food available until 6am. You could request an early snack baggy to the door with granola, banana, etc. I requested it both days and they were late. I practically chewed the arm of the delivery boy off when it arrived!

Raspberry lols to your phone call! I get those even when he's not away. Despite the sleep despair I secretly love the fact that he misses me when he's out, as I never bloody go out anymore of an evening and miss going out out with him so much now!

Nurse and vanilla I've loved swimming every time I've gone, which isn't enough! About 4 times since 12 weeks. I started a Pilates class last week tho (missed yesterday thanks to the puking), and that was amazing. I felt like I was doing something genuinely strengthening for my body. I'm the furthest in the class though, and all the other ladies were really quick to change positions instead of lolloping in an ungainly fashion from one to the other! Bump is indeed so heavy...

On meals, I've been ok with breakfast and lunch, but struggle come evening. Probably tiredness and available space, but I'm also just wanting jacket potatoes, eggs, or just a salad and hummus. Weird isn't it?
Having said that I hope I can eat today. We got by on that handful of pretzels yesterday. That was like the bad old days of the first (and early second) trimester when all I could eat was popcorn!Hmm

RasperryInAMelon · 12/03/2017 08:06

Alarm went off at 5.45, now sat on a bus Gatwick bound with a stinking cold 😫 always the way when I'm going on holiday!

@nursebickypegs my appetites been the same - I don't know if little Madame has a wriggle about and stops me feeling hungry sometimes? Didn't eat a proper meal at all yesterday, just half a melon, some brioche and crisps... 😕

I managed to doze off into a really deep sleep @1004Rise and then my alarm went off! I can't wait to go swimming while I'm on Mat Leave! I'm with you on the co-sleeping thought! DH and I fidget so much we'd end up smothering the baby!!

Marmite on toast for me please! 🙋🏼

Glad you're feeling better @mightymouse76 plenty of rest today!

Hi all,
I notice some other folks are feeling sick again. Do you think this might be the onset of the dreaded third trimester nausea I have been soooo hoping would not materialise? I've noticed I feel much greener over last few days and last night couldn't eat meat again - literally as soon as it touched my lips I was gipping EnvyIt's deffo not a virus in my case, or food poisoning.
I'm really hoping it's a one off as I was so ill for the first 22 weeks!!!

I'm definitely gong to have to find time for swimming! When are folks fitting it in? I struggle in morning as already have dog to walk before work & then by evening I am soooo tired I can't even think about it!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Am off out to meet friends for lunch. One of them is preggo too so will be so lovely to see her!

Tickyboovicki · 12/03/2017 09:03

raspberry have a lovely holiday! My other half used to always ring me after nights out, not sure I've ever really appreciated it 😂 Thankfully not he's so tied up with finishing his post grad he hasn't got time to go out much! Also I think not really knowing what they organised was best, like 1004rise said it means no time to worry about being the centre of attention, which I am not a fan of!

Somehow I've only just woken up which is amazing for me right now! But all this talk of toast has definitely got me hungry...

Tickyboovicki · 12/03/2017 09:04

mrscrocopop I'm hoping to fit in swimming once I'm off on maternity! Like you I'm so tired in the evenings it's all I can do to stay awake until a decent time to go to bed!

beanturnipandspud · 12/03/2017 09:18

Good morning ladies.

Fantastic news on the house ticky we can share in the excitement/stress over the next weeks. I can't wait to get moved 😊
Your baby shower sounded lovely. I don't think anything like that will be happening for us this time, too many wedddings, hens and birthdays between now & may.

I was also awake at 3.30am and last looked at the clock at 4.48am. Didn't pick my phone up though as I hoped I would drift back off. It didn't really work. Looks like this is my new sleep pattern. Although, on the bright side it really does help when the baby arrives as you feel less zombie as your body gets used to less sleep.

I'm useless and can't remember who was asking about food, but I too cannot eat a full meal. I am living off cucumber and Big Macs! Horrendous diet but I can't find the Will power to get through my cravings 😩 it's also quite novel to fancy something as the majority of the time I don't feel like eating.

I am also in the third trimester nausea camp. Only in the mornings though, and it doesn't matter what I eat I still feel horrendous.

We are going on a family swimming outing today and then going to start sorting & packing this afternoon ... too excited.

raspberry hope you have a lovely time in Barcelona. We are going to Disneyland Paris a week on Thursday, please let me know how you get on flying 😊

beanturnipandspud · 12/03/2017 09:24

Also my DH has just brought this to me in bed 😍 don't think I could love him any more than I already do. 😍😍😍

mrscrocopop · 12/03/2017 09:34

Ticky - I am fast coming to the conclusion that it will only be once I am on mat leave that I can fit in swimming too! Oh well, roll on week 37 I say! 🏊‍♀️

Bean - sorry to hear you're suffering too! Looks like you have a most excellent mister looking after your breakfasting needs though ☺️ My nausea seems to be worse in the afternoon/evening. Hopefully it will pass or at least not get anywhere near as bad as first trimester! I don't think my pelvic floor could cope with wretching and heaving to that degree! 😝

peasandquiet · 12/03/2017 09:39

Morning all, glad I've done this before otherwise I would have spent yesterday convinced I was in labour, lower back and hip pain was the worst it's been this pregnancy, awful through the night aswell so I'm exhausted 😩 still horizontal (with coffee provided by husband and toddler) hoping it will be a little better today.
Nursery assembly is underway here, need to re arrange the furniture in there as currently all just dumped and then will pop a pic on the FB Group.

nursebickypegs · 12/03/2017 10:25

@RasperryInAMelon @mrscrocopop it's definitely evening time where I can't manage anything beyond some cereal and toast. Sad definitely 3rd trimester sickness last night... managed to down some gaviscon and had some milk instead of tea. I'm going to attempt egg on toast right now...

1004Rise · 12/03/2017 10:26

Shock Third trimester nausea didn't think about that, I thought it was just heartburn leaving nasty taste in my mouth (hence the crate loads of mint humbugs I've been going through Blush)

I'm back to eating little and often, not really put off of anything but definitely on 3 or 4 "breakfasts"

Peas hope you feel better today!

Bean you have a wonderful DH, that cup of tea looked so good you inspired me to try some... still no good, what sane person goes off tea Confused

mrscrocopop · 12/03/2017 10:44

Nurse & Rise - seems like there are a few of us suffering again with the dreaded sickness! I deffo find that cereal is my best friend when I feel like this.

I can't stomach anything with meat in. In first tri I started getting really awful mental images when I tried to eat meat which immediately made me sick. That was back again last night. Hoping it's a one off as am already low on iron & have a generally shite protein intake!

Badgerbird · 12/03/2017 11:14

Oh god your poor lot suffering sickness again!! That really sucks.

bean does it really help having these awful insomnia/ sleepless nights before baby comes? Really really? I keep saying that to myself but feel I'm beginning to lose the plot and worried I'm not gonna be able to cope when she comes! Confused (wobble) Bless your lovely DH, that photo nearly set me off crying again!! Bit emosh & tired today! Enjoy your family swim this afternoon, sounds like a brill Sunday outing Smile

peas I'm so glad you weren't in labour! That sounds really painful. I hope today goes well :)

Just a thought for those not able to enjoy their meat could you try out a Linda McCartney veggie sausage maybe for something with a bit of texture and protein? Be careful not to overcook though!!

Barnes79 · 12/03/2017 11:46

Badger I'm tired and emotional too.

Mine started last night when I just started crying and didn't know why. I woke up in the middle of the night and started crying again. I used that hour to write DH an email listing all my worries etc to see if that helped either of us understand why I keep crying... Confused I think it helped him feel less at fault but I'm still all tearful and tired. The thing that makes it worse is that I know I've had an "easy" pregnancy compared to lots of you - no sickness, very little back/pelvis pain during the day, so have no reason to feel so sorry for myself all the time. I just hope I don't feel even worse once baby arrives due to being even more tired! Blush

ClaireSunflower · 12/03/2017 11:47

Sorry to all the people feeling ill Flowers hope you all get better soon.

I've just bought loads of baby things from John Lewis. We had quite a lot of gift vouchers left over from our wedding last year which was useful, just picked up a changing mat, blankets, baby bath, bouncy chair, Moses basket and some towels. Just need to find somewhere to put it all now until the baby's room is decorated!

MrsJW15 · 12/03/2017 11:53

Sorry to all of those feeling ill again. Hoping I don't get the nausea back. Was up for about an hour last night for no reason so also pretty tired today.
