Anyone else watching 'Look who's Talking' on GOLD? Grin

Teaspoon74 · 11/03/2017 16:48

MrsPage - the one on the left looks a bit sad! Did she mishear and think you said no biscuits?!?

Teaspoon74 · 11/03/2017 16:48

Ooh - what goodies did you get Bean?

1004Rise · 11/03/2017 16:51

Mrspage they're gorgeous, do they also try to eat everything in sight? I'm a bit worried our Lab will run off with nappies, nappy cream, nappy bags etc etc etc... the Golden will just steal all the toys Hmm

Teaspoon74 · 11/03/2017 17:08

100Rise we had a chocolate lab growing up. He used to eat bras, rope, body shop miniature bubble bath bottles, oh and the Christmas turkey one year (that was a fun Xmas!).

mrspage1985 · 11/03/2017 17:11

Teaspoon she has droopy eyes and a sad looking face - her nickname is sad Sam!!! She's the silly one out the two!!
Rise god yes - nappies creams breast milk ... I'm slightly concerned about it all!! There well behaved generally but do like to lick, think that and the sniffing of baby's bottoms could be the worst!!

When it's playmate / gym time it could also be possible carnage but desperately want to make it work as they are our first babies and don't want to just always shut them out!! Xx

Funnyonion17 · 11/03/2017 17:15

I know it's a bit late but is it ok if i join? I've muddled through to nearly 30 weeks but struggling with tiredness and nausea again and it would be great to speak to others who feel my pain! I literally know nobody in really life that is pregnant, this is DC3 but it's always nice to chat to others in the same boat and i don't remember the last two times being this hard hmm

Barnes79 · 11/03/2017 17:16

Welcome FunnyOnion Grin

ShiniBerry · 11/03/2017 17:17

Monster munch virgin no more! DH was shocked I'd never had it and promptly went out and bought some! Grin

ShiniBerry · 11/03/2017 17:23

Mightymouse sounds awful, hope you feel better soon!

MrsPage your dogs are gorgeous! I've always wanted a chocolate lab!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! X

1004Rise · 11/03/2017 17:27

Yeay shini Grin enjoy!!

I do wonder if our DHs/DPs are now thinking we've reached the crazy stage and are wondering what's next!!

nursebickypegs · 11/03/2017 17:38

@mightymouse76 how are you feeling? How's baby? Whenever I get D&V I swear by McDonald's fries and orange lucozade! Not very nurse like! I hope you're feeling better.

Loving the photos of the dogs! I miss having a dog so much. I'm seriously considering adopting a puppy, but I think it's my mad baby brain.

Logged on to FB and in my food group for cheap shopping, someone posted that they had to visit a food bank and haven't had a proper meal in ages. Turns out they live in the same city as me, so I've weirdly messaged them saying that I'll make them a grocery box and a pasta bake. I always make meals in bulk so a few here and there will help them!

nursebickypegs · 11/03/2017 17:38

Hi @Funnyonion17!!! It's a great thread, I'm so pleased I found it. I don't feel so alone. When are you due?

1004Rise · 11/03/2017 17:46

Welcome funny! You may find we've all just gone a bit mad BlushConfused but in a supportive way Grin

Mrspage I feel exactly the same about shutting ours out, they were here first so have to be included. When we go for walks the Lab eats stuff, the Golden rolls in it.... I really hope the same doesn't apply for everything baby related! Hmm

MrsJW15 · 11/03/2017 18:15

Hello funnyonion!
What did you get Bean?

We had a productive day - ordered the car seat, crib and buggy plus a couple of other little bits - mattress protector for the crib, sleep bra, some little vests.

But then I failed to check properly and got the bus to the pool as it closed Sad I don't think I'll have time tomorrow and I rarely make it during the week.

newbieho · 11/03/2017 18:44

Hello Onion!

Thanks everyone for dogs photos, they have cheered me up.

teainbed · 11/03/2017 18:58

Hello funny and welcome.

Has anyone ordered online from Mothercare? I ordered about 8-10 things and they appear to be all coming in dribs and drabs from individual companies rather than all together from Mothercare! Confused

newbieho · 11/03/2017 19:03

Tea I've got the same experience with online delivery from Mothercare. It drives me nuts as I'm trying to schedule the delivery date with my work from home days.

Barnes79 · 11/03/2017 19:10

Tea I had the same thing - they even sent 2 different deliveries on the same day!

mightymouse76 · 11/03/2017 19:22

Thanks Stationary, Raspberry, Dream, MrsJW, Rise,Teainbed, Shini & Nurse!
And welcome Funnyonion

I’ve been drifting in and out of groggy sleep this afternoon and have kept some sips of water down. Just had one of those kid’s cartons of watered down apple juice which is so far staying put. No food as yet though. I threw up the few bites of apple I tried this morning (normally a weird cure all for me).

Baby having active periods so seeming normal, but am paying quite close attention now.

Definitely feeling fractionally brighter than earlier but I now have quite bad lower back ache and a few cramps low down in my bump, a bit like mild period aches. Would anyone who knows the usual build up to birth like to reassure me I’m not about to go into prem labour?! I could call 111/go to triage but I feel like I might be over-worrying and it's a result of the virus/no food/little liquids and lying in weird positions all day. I would be turning from left to right side and getting some protests each time.

I’ve texted the midwife but not sure she’ll be on her phone now. Will ring 111 if the cramps worsen.

I wish I could have a bath or shower…! The builder I traumatised earlier with my puking has gone home now. No water in the bathroom taps until Monday.

Missed a prepaid pilates session today and also am supposed to start my bump and baby club antenatal classes tomorrow. It’s only two day long sessions and cost me £250 (I missed out on places for my local NCT - moo how were they?)

I mailed B&BC first thing to say I shouldn’t come tomorrow for obvious reasons - I wouldn’t even if I felt better in the morning just in case I was still contagious - I'd be as bad as my selfish git colleague. Hopefully they will let me transfer to the late April course (cutting it a bit fine!) as no way I can afford to pay twice. Fingers crossed they are sympathetic…

EsmesBees · 11/03/2017 19:23

Welcome.onion!

Mothercare are awful for deliveries. And click and collect. I ordered some clothes in the sale, they said they were all in store to collect, turns out only half the items were there. And they charge for it.

Got my ball down from the loft so no longer slumped on the sofa. So much better.

mightymouse76 · 11/03/2017 19:24

tea my nipple cream arrived separately to my main order. DP opened it by accident. Grin

beanturnipandspud · 11/03/2017 19:28

teaspoon & mrsjw I think the better question would be 'what didn't we get?' 🙈 my favourite buys were
Sleepyhead
A beautiful hat with a fluffy pompom
3 nursing bras
Mam set
Ewan the dream sheep
And lots of lovely bibs
Oh and a big pillow in the hope I will sleep tonight 👍🏼

funnyonion welcome! I am also on DC3, and agree that this time it is much harder and there seems to be more pains. I do not remember ever feeling this tired with the other 2.

I am about to soak bump in a hot bath as I feel really tired now. Had a lovely day just me and DH though, haven't had quality time like that ok our own in ages. 😊
