Here's a link to the last thread and photo updates just incase anyone's looking for anything!

Thread 9

Photo Page - Bump Update

I don't have access to a desktop right now though so can't post the link to the GoogleDrive spreadsheet, but it's a few posts down in the previous thread!

Happy chatting!

Wow. Difficult to keep up with you chatty ladies! On way to the south coast for family birthday and feels as if we've been driving for ages.

Counting down the days until I finish although there are still 25 of them left!

In terms of box sets, loving Narcos, Billions and my ultimate fave, The West Wing. Not sure if anyone saw catastrophe too about having kids, it's pretty funny!

Not long until the weekend.....have a good one when it arrives! Enjoy the Brew and Cake. I'll be dreaming of Gin xxxxx

savagehk · 23/03/2017 22:20

@esmesbees loving that you only use FB for scandi kids clothes :D a private group works just the same (probably) - we can all chat to eachother in a group and only members see posts.

newbieho · 23/03/2017 22:27

It would be great to gave postnatal thread once the time comes. I'm not on FB that often but would like to stay in touch with you guys.

WishIWasSleeping · 23/03/2017 22:45

So the chicken pox have yet to arrive... im disappointed I didn't get out of my meeting! Grin my nephew is almost 5 and hasn't had them yet, so should they develop from DDs one spot we're off for a chicken pox party. Ha!

I never thought anything other than breast was normal and actually thought my sister was a bit of a letdown when she 'couldn't' BF. (Mainly pressure from her OH who is luckily now well out of the picture) - and laziness rather than any problems.
I had bottles but I only actually brought a one ltr ready made milk as I was, I suppose, a bit naive to the problems people have. I just knew in my head I was doing it what with all the benefits it gives. (Not to mention its free) I'm not usually a confident person, but that was my child and she needed feeding so I just hoisted them out and got on with it without giving it a second thought. You lot are making me think I was lucky!
I just scheduled in coffee shops at feed times! And usually sat in a corner where possible, but not all of the time. She went straight on to 4hr feeds anyway, and then was full after 10 mins!
I am normally quite a private person so thinking back I'm surprised how naturally it came to me. But if you have a cardi on or something you don't look like you're getting your whole boob out!
I'm def conscious of the stories about how the uk does the least for BF and the pressure put on some people turns them away - so I now try to live by the fed is best rule when I'm talking about it so as not to offend people. And I found sitting in a coffee shop/cafe area felt more settled because other people went there to eat and drink so were less likely to say something in my opinion!

Nurse I can't believe mothers would say that to you about BF. I didn't even ask my MIL I just did it. FIL got a bit jumpy when he noticed on the odd occasion. It makes me want to drive over and hug you!
Glad you're ok after your incident too. x

It's taken me 45 mins today to catch up with you lot. Im supposed to be sleeping after DH sent me to bed!

Hope all of you are ok. Not long left - I'm in the 7 weeks til due date club. x

Rockyroad17 · 23/03/2017 23:03

Hi!
Hope it's OK for me to join too? I'll be honest, I've been following / stalking this thread since around September Blush.

Expecting DC #1 (team yellow) at the beginning of May, but what with it being number 1 I'm trying not to get too preoccupied with the exact arrival date!

Would love to join the meet up tomorrow, if possible?

savagehk · 23/03/2017 23:12

Hi to the newcomers :)

Just bought myself a small lightweight tablet, hoping to use it during those first few weeks when pinned under a feeding baby. Last time I used the desktop but getting to the controls was problematic!

Time is flying, need to decide on nursing chair and get the changing table etc out of storage...

nursebickypegs · 23/03/2017 23:13

@Hisashiburi I keep meaning to watch catastrophe; I saw a video on FB where they were arguing in bed about her putting her feet on him, and he moved them in an "aggressive" way. It made me proper chuckle as I swear DH and I have the same argument!

RasperryInAMelon · 23/03/2017 23:16

Thanks everyone. I'll have a chat with the boss when she's back on Monday. Just say I'll do what I can within the time I have and see how that goes down.

@Barnes79 hope you're feeling better?

@coxsorangepippin it's a private group on FB so won't show through to your friends and family

@Teaspoon74 will sort tomorrow as soon as I'm on a desktop

@Rockyroad17 👋🏻 of course come along tomorrow! Do you have the details?

@nursebickypegs I guarantee you'll love Catastrophe! Although with a weak pregnancy bladder getting the giggles could be amusing!

This evening inevitably went from bad to worse, started having breathlessness and heart palpitations on the way home so am currently sat in A&E following an ECG waiting for a consultant... joy...

nursebickypegs · 23/03/2017 23:17

@WishIWasSleeping DH and I were talking about what my DM said, and he says "and you wonder why you cover yourself up in leggings and cardigans!" Even on my wedding day I had my arms covered.

I think the incident is @Nurse15! Are you okay nurse?

@stationaryace try podcasts! I find them incredibly soothing. Also maybe audible? You can share books on Audible now; I have a huge collection and I'm happy to share with you guys.

Is the FB thing a group or messenger? I'm absolutely shite with messenger and ignore it most of the time but if it's a group then I'm game!

nursebickypegs · 23/03/2017 23:19

Oh crap @RasperryInAMelon, you need to rest! I worry about you! You looked so relaxed on your bike and now this Sad what happened? I get palpitations when I'm stressed out. Keep us in the loop Sad

nursebickypegs · 23/03/2017 23:20

Hi @Rockyroad17! This group has been my saviour in the last few weeks! ❤️ I'm due May 22 & having a boy. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I'm convinced it will be early, as he's measuring huge.

Rockyroad17 · 23/03/2017 23:24

@raspberry eeek that doesn't sound good! At least you're in the best place to get it sorted... I seem to recall something about Victoria station and Costa coffee but that's about as much as my brain can manage! More details would be useful if you have them to hand.

RasperryInAMelon · 23/03/2017 23:35

@nursebickypegs FB is a private group - PM me if you want me to add you tomorrow.

God knows, I think I'm just about ready to hide in a cave to be honest. Looks like I've got a low white blood cell count. ECG looks fine, labour ward obs were fine too. Just waiting for a blood clot test to come back...

OP posts:
RasperryInAMelon · 23/03/2017 23:36

@Rockyroad17 6pm tomorrow at Costa Coffee by platform 7 at Victoria Station tomorrow.

There will be a fair few of us so I'm sure you'll spot the preggo ladies! 🙈

OP posts:
Rockyroad17 · 23/03/2017 23:37

@nursebickypegs I haven't been measured since my 28 week appointment so I have no idea how this one is doing Confused Everyone and their dog has commented on how big my bump is though, so maybe I'll have an April baby!

nursebickypegs · 23/03/2017 23:40

@Rockyroad17 I've been having growth scans because of his heart condition; at 30 weeks he is 4lbs. He's only meant to be chuffing 2.5lbs!

MrsJW15 · 23/03/2017 23:46

Busy afternoon and evening so it's taken me ages to catch up with this. I need a Netflix list I think! Loved Orange is the New Black, Good Wife, Making a Murder. Stranger Things is also good. I'm also watching the Gilmore Girls as I've never seen it before. Is West Wing on Netflix? I might rewatch it all...

Hope all is ok Raspberry.

nursebickypegs · 23/03/2017 23:52

I keep watching one episode of stranger things and then forgetting about it!

lullaby23 · 24/03/2017 02:30

Ooh tv talk!

nurse ahh Friday Night Lights! I have such a crush on Coach Taylor.

Yes esme The Good Fight will be starting on More 4 soon, rise it's Lucca Quinn who is also in it.

teaspoon you should persevere with Breaking Bad then you have Better Call Saul to look forward which I love even more.

Re: freckles mine have become more noticeable, last time I got sunspots / chloasma under my eyes but don't seem to have got them so far this time. Also get freckles / dark spots around my areola despite not exactly being in a position to be topless sunbathing right now, did fade away last time 😂

raspberry echoing the others, it sounds unreasonable in scope and timeframe and surely something that should be handed off to your cover person?? Maybe you can help get them started but with a week to go they can complete it. Hope all ok now.

Hope you feel better soon barnes

Barnes79 · 24/03/2017 03:00

Still up, still vomiting and other things BlushManaging to get 10-50 mins sleep between bouts and trying to sip water too. Looks like I'll be off work tomorrow anyway.

Raspberry - hope you're ok.Flowers

lullaby23 · 24/03/2017 04:02

Oh dear barnes take it easy, bed and fluids, hope you feel better soon x

1004Rise · 24/03/2017 04:08

@Barnes79 truly rubbish, hope it's just a 24hr thing!

@RasperryInAMelon hope you're both ok (and good plan to talk to your boss )

@lullaby23 thank you!! Baby brain in full swing Grin

4am wake up, deep joy!

Nurse15 · 24/03/2017 05:59

Me and bump are all good thank ladies! No worries with her and she's currently kicking up a storm!!

Barnes I hope you feel better soon. Worst feeling ever!

Raspberry that was all a bit scary, glad all was okay in the end! I'm sure you're tired today!

Sorry not doing a proper catch up - it's hard on the app!!

Barnes79 · 24/03/2017 06:42

No vomiting for 2 whole hours! Progressed onto watered down cordial... Fingers crossed the worst is over

RasperryInAMelon · 24/03/2017 07:19

How are you feeling this morning @Barnes79 ?

Back on a train and headed into work... 5 more days, I've got this!! (I think...)
