Raspberry how tall are you? They recommend different sizes for different heights. If you are 5"2-5"8, go for 65cm. 55cm if smaller, 75cm if taller. I think I actually went for 65cm although I am smaller and haven't fully inflated, so that works if you are on the border. I spent a while looking at this! Having it has been amazing, I sit on it a lot (although still like to collapse on the sofa at some point).

Badger possibly not until shortly before I return. I have a rough idea, but it will depend on resourcing and things. Plus I'm not fully certain what I want to do. I will probably be applying for things while I'm on mat leave.

Hi all, sorry to hear some people going through it. Had a busy week at work so far so have been sleeping well at night as I've been so tired.
I have had the rib pain below right boob return on and off, just uncomfortable in the day.

It's actually 5 years today that I lost my mum to cancer. Pregnancy hormones means i seem to have cried quite a bit this week at random thoughts.

I have just got in from Lidl.

Picked up a microwave steriliser, 0-2 month cardigan for coming home from hospital in, a couple of babygrows and some socks.
Also picked up some books and a packet of size 2 nappies as have a good lot of size 1 from other brands.

Duvet until my waist approx, then a pajama top. I wasn't cold even though it was Christmas last time! I imagine I'll be warm enough in May.

peasandquiet · 16/03/2017 17:15

I have the magic omeprozole!! Will report back at bedtime 😂

nursebickypegs · 16/03/2017 17:31

DH baby shower gifts were lovely and I may have just cried about about 20minutes going "waahhhh people are lovely" and snotting everywhere. That's attractive. DH has done all the chores in like 30mins when it took me 3 hours the other day.

@Badgerbird I'm going to look into this, esp as today my anxiety is at 11 and it just stems down to "feeling unloved". No clue why.

1004Rise · 16/03/2017 17:42

I definitely have a baby in my rib cage today, feels like all of him/her so don't know what s/he is up to Hmm

Barnes79 · 16/03/2017 17:52

I wasn't that impressed with the Lidl event - might just be that I went to one which had been ransacked and had very little 0-2mth clothing. I've already got bottle stuff and want to buy the full Beatrix Potter book set rather than a couple of individual ones (the latter is all they had at Lidl).

nursebickypegs · 16/03/2017 17:55

We don't have a Lidl in my town until next Thursday when the giant one opens. How long is the baby event on for? I just need socks!

@1004Rise I swear my baby is lying from side to side, earlier today he was kicking me, then punching me, then a kick, a punch... it was like he was playing the drums!

BouncingBlueberry · 16/03/2017 18:03

@raspberry go to Decathlon. I got mine from there for £4. Bargain for a bit of relief!

nagchampa1009 · 16/03/2017 18:06

Super late joiner here!

I'm 31+3 and due 15th May. Have loved reading advice on here and seeing that your babies are moving as much as mine! Grin

@nursebickypegs sorry if this is a silly question but what do you mean by your anxiety is at 11? I also suffer with anxiety that's worsened through pregnancy and eager to know if you have a way of measuring it.

vanilla8 · 16/03/2017 18:18

@Nursebickypegs the Lidl event is running till the 22nd. Socks were 1.29 for two pack.

@Barnes I thought the clothes were better quality in comparison to Aldi but not much there overall. Just an excuse to use my voucher I got at the baby show

Teaspoon74 · 16/03/2017 18:41

Hey Nag! We're almost pop-twins - my EDD is 16/5, though they may bring me on a couple of weeks early what with being a geriatric etc Smile

Nurse I may have a drummer too - maybe we could start a group?! The below rib pain is even worse today. But no idea how to tell if it's feet or fists.

Barnes for Beatrix Potter books, have you tried the book people? £27 for all 23 Peter Rabbit books : https://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qsproductt_tbp?productId=567562&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&searchTerm=beatrix

Vanilla & Nurse sorry about your losses. Never goes away, does it? Lost mine when I was 20 and have cried so many times through this pregnancy at the thought of her not being here. But that just means she's still with me. As yours is with you. Flowers

MrsJW had to reread your ball post as thought you said that you hadn't fully inflated ;)

Peas hope the check went ok.

Rise what is it with hot drinks and fish?!? Tea was kippers for me for ages!

WishIWasSleeping · 16/03/2017 18:50

MrsJW - I used olbas oil throughout my last pregnancy to help me clear my nose and it didn't do any harm... I hope it's ok! Shock
And the fact no one claims to be using it is actually amusing. Maybe it's someone's perfume?!
Raspberry - it depends on how big you are! Sorry, not overly helpful! I'm 5ft6 and I have a 65 I think. Except DH lost it and I'm waiting for another to come in the post... Hmm

teainbed · 16/03/2017 18:53

Agreed Rustler! It's nice reading what everyone else is up to. I'm not sure the vast majority of pregnancy stuff is that interesting to friends and family or colleagues or DH Hmmso it's good to be able to natter away about the small and big stuff.

Sorry again to hear about those who have lost their mums. If you had a good relationship then having a baby must be one of the times when you miss them most. Extra squeeze for mine tomorrow.

beanturnipandspud · 16/03/2017 19:12

Ladies, I've not caught up since yesterday, but I've had my 31wk apt today and they went through the signs of pre-eclampsia, I knew about high bp, headache, puffy hands, feet & face but extreme rib pain is also a sign of pre-eclampsia.

I've been suffering with rib pain but mine is due to baby positioning ... I just wanted you to be aware as I wasn't until today 😊

PeachIcedT · 16/03/2017 19:28

I do love a good nursery pic - good work! I'd love to redecorate but I know it doesn't make sense with a plan to move in about a year. I suppose there's still time to change my mind.

Nursebicky sorry your team is being so petty, but not much longer to go with them at least.

Badger you have a lovely DH, he sounds very supportive Smile

Esmes I'm sorry this is a tougher time than it should be without your mum, it's good you feel able to talk about it and I think the counselling suggestion sounds a good idea.

Goodness me vanilla, teaspoon and rise I can relate with the rib pain, I've had it for weeks! Midwife confirmed I've got lots of limbs in my ribs so I guess it's no surprise but it burns! It's been the worst aspect of pregnancy for me so far. Bean sorry you've suffering too, I'm sure mine is due to positioning too. But serious ouch.

Welcome nag! I'm 31+4 today so very similar!

Went to Lidl and was disappointed by their offerings. Aldi's was much better. Did however buy some nursing pads, swimming nappies, socks and a book. The clothing looked nice but a bit on the warm side (plus I keep thinking what I could get for the same price second hand - I'm obsessed with a second hand bargain!).

EsmesBees · 16/03/2017 19:31

Vanilla and Teaspoon sorry to hear you've lost your mums too. But that's a very positive way of looking at it teaspoon. I like to think that being the best mum i can to DD and the new baby is the best way i can honour my mum.

Raspberry i have a 65cm ball and I'm 5'5''.

31 week appt tomorrow. Can't believe how fast time is going. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat again.

vanilla8 · 16/03/2017 19:37

Thanks @EsmesBees and @Teaspoon74 Flowers

I seem to buy anything Rabbit related so couldn't resist the Peter Rabbit books at Lidl. I know lots of you shared pics of your dogs and cats, we have a house rabbit Smile

Oh my god! House rabbit ❤️❤️❤️❤️ So beautiful!

peasandquiet · 16/03/2017 20:00

Rasberry mine is 65cm and I'm 5"5.
Savage, I just love covers so much I don't think I could sleep without and don't trust myself not to pull them over the baby. Hopefully can work something out with the snuzpod, getting out of bed in not in my plan!!
Check up all fine, BP is consistently about 120/70 at the moment, feel like I'm going to go every week for a check and be a waste of the GP/Midwifes time tbh. If it's still normal at 35 or so weeks I'll see ignore

nursebickypegs · 16/03/2017 20:01

Aaah @vanilla8 we have a house rabbit too! His name is Puddin'!

newbieho · 16/03/2017 20:04

Hello Nag!

Vanilla your rabbit looks super comfy on the second photo 👍

peasandquiet · 16/03/2017 20:06

Ignore the ignore 😂 I was going to say I wonder if it stays normal I will get appointment back to the routine schedule rather than weekly.
My heart goes to all of you doing this without mum, mine is my best pal and hero.

EsmesBees · 16/03/2017 20:07

Oh i love that rabbit Vanilla.

My DD is obsessed by Peter rabbit, but isn't old enough for the books yet. The modern TV series is awful though, so I make her watch the 80s originals on YouTube.

nursebickypegs · 16/03/2017 20:11

@nagchampa1009 like on a scale of 0-10, I always "it's ramped up to an 11!" When I'm really stressed! Grin it rarely is, I'm just dramatic, especially today!
