@nursebickypegs oh gosh I've read into your comment too much 🙈 it seems so obvious now you just meant out of 10 😂
as per the recommendation, hypnobirthing is really helping me at the moment.

Loving the bunny Vanilla 🙊

ClaireSunflower · 16/03/2017 20:25

Love your rabbit vanilla! So cute

CinnamonTwist · 16/03/2017 20:27

Cinammon that looks really quite swollen. Is it just at the end of the day? Have you had a checkup recently?

coxsorangepippin · 16/03/2017 20:46

cinnamon I've swapped to a bigger wedding ring but my feet are ok for now

EsmesBees · 16/03/2017 20:47

I was about to say the same as tea, are you feeling ok otherwise Cinnamon?

CinnamonTwist · 16/03/2017 21:05

Just the usual pregnancy stuff - Feeling tired, been seeing stars on and off (which midwife says is either low sugar or low bp) a few pins and needles and achey lower back (again MW reckons baby keeps sitting on my sciatic nerve). I did mention to my MW that I had swollen feet at my last appointment and she wasn't interested at all so I figured no big deal, but it's getting worse and worse and I can't fit in most of my shoes now, and had to take my rings off, as I don't want them stuck on. It's a bit better in the morning but not back to normal.

teainbed · 16/03/2017 21:08

When was your midwife appointment?

CinnamonTwist · 16/03/2017 21:10

It was a week and a half ago, got another one on Tuesday so I could mention it to her then

newbieho · 16/03/2017 21:21

Cinnamon please mention the swelling to your midwife on Tuesday. Better to have it checked!

I am devastated as my miracle drug for heartburn (omeprazole) made me extra salivating. I nearly choked to death last night on my own saliva 😭. Docs appointment is on cards, otherwise acid burping will return Confused

Rustler74 · 16/03/2017 21:23

@CinnamonTwist I also have swollen feet and hands. I'm also quite short of breath.
Been to community midwife today and she was happy with everything. Was advised to get flight socks which I did get from the pharmacy, from scholl. I hope I can have a rest tomorrow as today was really busy and I'm zonked...

Welcome @nagchampa1009 I hope you find as much support here as I do xxx

CinnamonTwist · 16/03/2017 21:33

Rustler actually I've been quite short of breath, I figured that was just from lack of room for my lungs now though! Although my bump is quite low so might not be that I suppose. I'll tell my midwife again on Tuesday but I doubt she'll be bothered, she's extremely relaxed about everything. I was actually hoping you guys would tell me it's normal as my family have said it shouldn't be that bad and maybe I need to rest more... but as I have already given up pretty much all my exercise I don't really feel I can rest much more, other than sitting around all day, which would drive me INSANE 😩

RasperryInAMelon · 16/03/2017 21:54

Time to relax and catch up... in bed because I went to Sainsbury's and forgot to nip to Argos and get a bloody gym ball! But thank you for all of your advice! 🙈 and apologies in advance for the mammoth post that's about to follow...

As much as we had the loveliest time in Barcelona, it's so nice to get home and be back in my own bed! ☺ my arse deffo needs a break after the cycling!

DH hasn't purchased any specific books - but he's super excited to be starting our NCT classes at the end of the month bless him.

@peasandquiet I'm glad your growth scan went well!

@EsmesBees @peasandquiet thanks for the tips on the Maternity Pads. I bought some today, Sainsbury's own brand ones - but also someone suggested to me the other day to try the Tena pull ups as they're quite handy for not leaking. Anyone else got experience of using these?

@Teaspoon74 @nursebickypegs the nurseries look beautiful! I can't believe how close we are to having little people to put in them!

@nursebickypegs My wobbles seem to come late afternoon / evening too. I think more when I have time on my own to think about things. I know I'm being stupidly irrational but I just can't stop worrying thoughts coming into my head. I think like @ClaireSunflower said - I think some of it is down to how time is running out and reality is kicking in.

Much of mine have been similar to @Badgerbird - I feel like I'm loosing my identity. I started a new job 7 months ago, one which I bust my behind to get and I'm petrified that I'm loosing my career. Stupidly watched The Replacement too... your DH sounds much like mine, he's full of reassurance.

@Brightsmoke I hope you got through the day ok with your fan on full power!

@BouncingBlueberry hydrotherapy eh! How was it? Did your physio refer you for it? I've got my next appt on Mon so might broach the subject and see if it's available here!

Sorry to hear about your loss @EsmesBees You'll speak out to a friend or councillor as and when you feel ready I've no doubt.

@peasandquiet interested to know how you get on with the omoprazol - I'm seeing my GP tomorrow and will be begging for some!

@nursebickypegs Sounds like your DHs work colleagues were super lovely!

@nagchampa1009 Welcome!

@vanilla8 LOVE the bunny! 🐰 so cute!

@CinnamonTwist that doesn't look comfortable - Perhaps see your GP for some advice on bringing down the swelling? Like @Rustler74 I bought some flight socks but was chatting with DH just today saying how I might wear them at home while I'm off.

I've got a full on fidgety little girl tonight, hoping she'll calm down when I want to go to sleep shortly!

Raspberry my antenatal yoga teacher's advice was to find a ball where your thighs are parallel to the ground, where your knees are not be higher than pelvis. I'm 5'3"/5'4" and mine's 65cm.

Really feel for everyone who has lost their mums, lots of hugs to you all Flowers. My mum lives half way around the world and I miss her loads Sad

33 weeks tomorrow and the stretch marks have officially arrived this week. My midwife booked me in for an acupuncture appointment tomorrow at the hospital to see if it helps with my lower back pain-here's hoping! The nausea/morning sickness is still pulling me down most days, really hoping it doesn't go on to the very end!

I've been contemplating maternity pads and Tena pants too, no idea which brand to go with pad-wise, seems natracare and boots seem to be good? Also from the excellent advice on here (forget who recommended them in previous threads) I've picked up almond oil for baby's first poos, lavender and tea tree oils for healing and easing soreness down there.

Hoping to check out a nearly new sale this weekend and finally start packing my hospital bag.

Almost the weekend!

Badgerbird · 16/03/2017 22:37

vanilla your bunny is toooo cute!!

Welcome nagchampa, gotta say love the name, some of the best incense! Sorry to hear your anxiety has been bad during pregnancy, totally understandable, just hope you get the support you need. Glad the hypnobirthing is helping.

Ouch twist!! Def get that checked out again. Is it safe to drink dandelion tea during pregnancy? I'm sure it's in one of my preggo books for helping reduce swelling...

shini I'm gobsmacked that your midwife booked you in for acupuncture, that's brilliant!! It may help your nausea too, sure it helped keep mine at bay first trimester. He also worked on my back.

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 16/03/2017 22:42

Welcome nag!

Big hugs to those of you that have lost family members. Esmes I have found counselling very helpful in the past and personally am glad I did it sooner rather than later. If and when you're ready I would suggest looking into what kind of counsellor would suit you as much of that available on the NHS is CBT which can be fantastic for things like anxiety but not everyone finds that approach as useful for bereavement.

We had our first Bumps to Babies class last night - I really enjoyed it. I know one of the ladies who is running it through work which was very funny on arrival as she hadn't read through our names prior to arrival and haven't seen her for a while so she didn't know I was pregnant. Queue much shrieking!! I liked that they focussed a lot on dad's roles during the evening, apparently this is the first time they've tried it this way as they've had lots of feedback from dads-to-be that they just don't know what they'll be good for until baby is older and more mobile. They had some great examples of brain development and attachment and how important dads are in these processes from before birth.

1004Rise · 16/03/2017 23:06

Again swimming is awesome, did 40 lengths again tonight Grinonly spoiled by a stupid woman getting in wearing too much perfume that made me feel sick, DH couldn't smell it. I could cheerfully have drowned her if it didn't mean that the smell would have lingered!! Angry

Welcome home rasperry it's always good to be in your own bed! Can't believe you were brave enough to watch the replacement... I'm not, even though it's exactly the thing I'd normally watch Confused

Welcome nag!

Cinnamon that looks uncomfortable... is it just your feet or your legs too? I had a swollen leg early on but it was because my varicose vein (too much cycling + pregnancy does not do much for your veins) had got infected so if your legs/feet are hot and red as well as swollen I'd go visit gp. Have a look for graduated support tights, especially if you're on your feet all day, they're pricey but they make a difference - I found flight socks just moved the swelling to my knees...

Your bumps to babies class sounds really good dream!

Vanilla love the house bunny, looks so cosy!

nursebickypegs · 16/03/2017 23:19

@1004Rise high five on your lengths!!!! I'm swimming for an hour every day, and it really helps. Tomorrow the pool isn't open so I'm worried what I'm going to do all day?

@CinnamonTwist ouch! Have you spoke to your midwife? How's your BP? Feet above the heart and loads of rest! I haven't got swollen feet or hands... yet.

@RasperryInAMelon definitely getting wobbles because I think it's getting closer, and I'm worried about how much my/ours life will change. I'll post pictures tomorrow of DHs baby shower gifts, they even got us a game of thrones onesie which is AMAZING, obviously!

Pram came today and it's all assembled in the hallway. It's lovely and I want to take it out for a wee spin! It's got a pram cot but the buckles are in there for when it's a pushchair. DH says the buckles can't be taken out (I think he's fibbing as he had enough by this point) and the instructions don't mention it. Surely a baby isn't meant to lie on buckles! Oh well, task for tomorrow.

coxsorangepippin · 17/03/2017 05:16

Hello 4am indigestion, I won't miss you when you leave.

peasandquiet · 17/03/2017 06:57

Omoprozole was a huge improvement at bedtime last night, so much so I just went straight to sleep without updating you all! those of you already taking it what time for day are you having it? Leaflet says best in the morning but I don't want it to have worn off by bedtime.
Day off today and our new family car is arriving ! Exciting day! Can anyone thing of a good idea for what we should do this eve that involves driving so we can go out in the new wheels? (with toddler in tow and we need to be on our way home by 8 so he can go to sleep !)

nursebickypegs · 17/03/2017 07:18

@peasandquiet I always take it at night time and always have, but in hospital we gave it in the morning? Whatever suits you! Ooh what car are you getting??

My friend had her March baby last night! She bought her home this morning. Now... it's definitely getting real 😳

1004Rise · 17/03/2017 08:33

Cox true that!! Confused

jennymac31 · 17/03/2017 08:43

Bouncingblueberry - how did you find your 1st hydrotherapy session yesterday? I've been going to my sessions for the last 4 weeks and I have found them very helpful. Got 2 more to go and then I'm gonna see if there's any space to join another session group.

Raspberryinmelon - I was offered the hydrotherapy sessions after initially being referred to the physiotherapist by my midwife. After my first appointment with the physiotherapist, she advised that I do the hydrotherapy sessions for 6 weeks and then review spd condition. Have you had a referral to the physiotherapist?

RasperryInAMelon · 17/03/2017 09:10

@jennymac31 I've seen the physio and she gave me a belt and exercises to do, but it's getting progressively worse... my first appt was on Jan 20th, I was supposed to see her again on Feb 13th but had to cancel my Appt last minute after spending the night at EPU the night before and March 20th is the soonest they can reschedule me in for 😩

Is anyone else suffering from an internal thermostat malfunction? Confused In bed at night I'm either freezing or melting no comfortable middle ground, so I wake up & throw off all the covers only to wake up later and scrabble to pull them back up again... would be good if I had one less random thing to wake up for Hmm
