For those that have had their booking appointment already, do you know whether the baby's father needs to be there? My husband can't make it and wondering whether I need to postpone or can just go on my own. (Can't seem to remember anything from my first pregnancy at all!)

Still worried about lack of nausea but hearing how sick all of ye are, I should probably just count myself lucky and sush up about it! :)

Anyone having trouble brushing their teeth? I can't do it for more than a few seconds without gagging!!

My OH can't make mine either. I don't think it matters as I see it the scan is more Important. Which currently neither of us can make 😂 will call them to change that one! I'm on a course that I've been waiting months for at work! Plus there will be single mums there too so I'm sure you can just hand back the info to your OH

I've had my booking appointment and DH wasn't there and there was absolutely no need for him to be. I was given the forms a few weeks before my appointment and a tint section was for family history so just be aware of any issues and you'll be fine.

Thought my DH didn't come to my booking appointment either. As long as you know about any genetic diseases running in his family then you'll be able to answer everything. It's such a boring appointment I didn't want my DH to waste his holiday for it!! In fact mine only came to the scans last time.

thought I had mine yesterday. Dh is currently in nz so couldn't be there. It's not important for him to be. He wants to be at the scans and will just be back for our first one (arrives home the day before so will be jet lagged to fuck). But the regular appointments no need for him to be there.

I've had my booking in apt, consultant apt and an early scan. Dh only came to scan. He won't come to any other apts other than scans, unless there are any risks identified that need to be discussed. He's saving his holidays and favours for when baby gets here!

Started regular cyclizine yesterday and felt almost normal! Managed a whole shift at work. Heavy vomiting this morning though - I just need to get to a point where I can swallow tablets and keep them down and I'll be fine again.

My booking in is today it's been brought forward. Dh is at the hospital with a dc so won't be with me today.

Someone above mentioned salt n vinegar crisps. My go to so far has been squares. Sat n vinegar squares. Dh bulk bought from Amazon for me.

He's the best.

He's also saving his time off work for after baby arrives so I think will probably only come to scans.

To those talking about Maternity Wear... I am 7 weeks today and currently in a maternity work skirt and I have maternity jeans! I defintaely feel very solid in the lower stomach area! I am hourglass shaped but always have a little podge for my belly but now it is just rock hard!

Hey PlayonWurtz while it's my first, my DSD will be 17 when mine is born so pretty big gap there! Telling her was hilarious, it was so unexpected she let slip "F* Off!" as many a shocked teen would say in disbelief, then put her hand to her mouth horrified about swearing in front of us! She's really excited.

Wouldn't say I was showing yet at 10+4 though I've never had a flat stomach however slim. Normal clothes fine now, I'm specifically wearing all the stuff I'm likely to grow out of soonest! Ordered some maternity cropped jeans and black trousers after a panic about finding work trousers (great Debenhams sale on at the moment) and was shocked they actually seem to fit; proof of the pudding will be in the wearing though. If I put much weight on that isn't bump I may need the trousers in a size up before long. Hate buying clothes online but going to have to deal with it!

I finally caved and took today off work. Although I haven't actually thrown up at all, I feel sick literally all day, and am also shattered. After I cried a lot last night feeling sorry for myself, my partner persuaded me to tell my boss I am pregnant and take the day off. My boss was lovely and understanding so I felt immediate relief, it's much better feeling sick at home than at work. Have my booking in appointment later today too so looking forward to that.

9 weeks scan. No heartbeat measuring 6w6d. Going in tomo for ERPC. Strangely calm. Wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hope everyone else is ok. I hate these uncertain weeks. It feels like forever. I have a scan booked for the weekend when I'll be 9 weeks. I feel so strange that I literally have no idea what they'll find in there. I keep veering from worrying I'm not even pregnant to, to mmc, to panicking it might be twins (I'm the surviving half of twins, not sure if that increases my chances or not but I can't stop thinking about it. Stupid brain).

tippety it depends on the type of twins, only fraternal twins run in families because multiple ovulation can be genetic. Identicals happen totally at random. (Can you tell I've learned a lot in the last week?)
