Orifu, so sorry to hear your news. If it hasn't been offered you can ask for it to be tested for genetic issues. Another thing to look at for the future would be blood thinner injections like fragmin and clexane, which are recommended by Mr Shehata at Epsom and the profs at the Implantation Clinic in Coventry and many other experts around the country. The placenta takes over from 9 weeks and there is a belief that for some people blood thinners can help with this stage.

2 sleeps until my scan, am bricking it.

Can I join in? It's my first time, 12 weeks tomorrow, EDD 19th Oct. Had my booking appointment this week and waiting for scan appointment to come through.

Thanks Katie, DP is going to try n get it working, but if not I might need to take emergency leave from work in the morning. Can get a lift there, but have to leave at lunchtime for my scan. It's a 45 minute drive, but would take 2 buses and a train and an hour and a half on public transport.

Scan tomorrow. Absolutely bricking it! Can't come sooner.....

I can't sleep!! I was like this with my other 2 as well! I'm exhausted but awake.

Has anyone taken over doing a list of EDDs from confused?

I can't sleep either, but I'm nervous for my scan tomorrow. After my sisters missed miscarriage 4 weeks ago and my best friend having two in her teens, I'm terrified it'll happen to me. It's not even till 2:00pm, gotta get through a morning in work first as well.

Sorry to hear that doom try not to worry too much, although I know that's difficult. Can you talk to your OH about your worries? Good luck with your scan.

I've spoken to him, he keeps saying that worrying won't change the outcome and what happened to my sister has no bearing on me.

I felt the same on monday i had a mmc last aug and i had my 12 week scan on monday, i couldnt concentrate or even write properly at work i had to wait till 12pm n i had nervous shits n had to wee every 5 mins then when i was in the room i was boiling hot i wnted to cry b4 they had even put the gel on my belly and guess what my baby is ok 😊 i was still shaking afterwards even tho eveeything was fine lol

I still worry now so im not going to say try not to worry but do what u need to do hav a cry and take deep breaths im sure ur scan will show ur baby moving around and waving like mine xx

Thanks Corrinax that really helps, I guess DP's reassurances seem a little empty because he's not been through it.

It helps to speak to people who know what it's like.

Has anyone else been too scared to / not wanted to dtd since bfp?! I don't know what it is but I just have no interest whatsoever poor DP is being supportive but starting to worry he'll get fed up with it sooner or later!!

rachie I have had absolutely no interest, in between being high risk and throwing up constantly it's the last thing on my mind. It's not been discussed at all but dh completely understands. We didn't dtd at all during last pregnancy and our relationship is just fine! He knows it's a short term thing and is happy to wait x

If I get time this weekend then I'll do the due dates and start a new thread. If anyone else beats me to it then that is fine

I have become slightly more cuddly in the last week though so DH has been really happy about that! He's said he'd love to DTD before October if we can (because it'll probably be a good few months after the birth before we try again, if I have another episiotomy or tear) but won't put any pressure on. He's a good egg.

Scan day today and am sweating already just thinking about it. Good luck to everyone else. My memory is crap at the moment so can't remember who else is having one even though I've only just read it. Doom I've had 12 losses so totally get you. Don't think it will be easy until babies are here safe and sound.

Re DTD haven't done it since conception and very unlikely it will happen again until next year. Am petrified of a MC and I'm so hot all the time that a cuddle is unbearable most of the time as DH has always been hot blooded anyhow. Great to warm your feet on in winter though lol!! I've had 2cs's so this will be one too so will take several months before I'll feel like it.

Thought I'd update as I haven't been on since the first thread but I check in every day and love hearing everyone's updates.

I had my third scan yesterday in the early pregnancy unit and everything was grey and progressing well. So I'm discharged from the EPU now and will be seen in the clinic in two weeks.

I'm also under the care of the gestational diabetes clinic and seen there every two weeks.

My care has been fantastic so far (due to pcos, history of miscarriage, ges. diabetes, blood pressure etc etc )

Is anyone else on loads of medication? I'm on progesterone, metformin, aspirin, high dose folic acid.

Hi ladies , just back from my booking appointment and so happy :) Heard babys heartbeat which midwife said sounds perfectly fine, my tummy felt fine too and said my uterus is palpable, she thinks from feeling my tummy that im 14-15weeks and said my 1st scan will be through the post in a few weeks which im quite worried about as was hoping it would be sooner than that, so thinking of booking a private scan.
Feeling quite positive now and its finally starting to sink in that im expecting baby number 4, eek :)
