Hiya. I'd like to join. I'm 11weeks, due date 29th Sept possibly. I haven't joined before as had 3 previous mc, all earlier than this so didn't feel quite confident enough. I've also got 2 DS. I bled in every pregnancy except this one so very confusing (and annoying as no blood means no early scan) and of course I'm paranoid becuase I've had cramps the last week or so but still being sick so hopefully it's all ok. Scan's in less than 2wks but we're possibly moving next week (if our buyers sort themselves out and actually exchange today like they've been promising for 2 weeks). I've had to proceed as if we're moving so taking ds1 out of school etc. Feeling awful, vomitting sometimes but nauseus and exhausted all the time. People keep finding out (due to the vomitting mostly!) though managed to keep it from DS1 who overheard last time and told everyone which was awful when I then mc. Feeling very very anxious at the thought of going to hospital. I did manage to get a through a booking apt last week with no tears which was suprisingly nice. Midwife and student very kind about previous mc and really felt like it was more real this time.

yellow - I think it depends on the Trust policy and sometimes on the individual midwife. DS1 - depression but no meds, was offered to be admitted at birth but declined due to hospital-induced trauma, DS2 different trust midwife (and eventually consultant) refused to even consider support as I wasn't on meds or suicidal - nothing written (though had had PND and was still struggling with it and grief from 2mc) GP was awesome and got me counselling post-birth. I was lucky and no pnd second time around probably due to awesome GP. This time same trust (up to 3mc now), midwife written on notes and told to let them know if things got bad and I'd get a referral to mh team. Totally random it seems!

I managed to get through to the Drs today to get a booking appointment with the midwife to be greeted by an arsey receptionist who told me i need to take a positive pregnancy test down to the surgery with my details etc, and then if the midwife deems that im pregnant by seeing the test then she will get in touch with me to sort my booking appointment out. I've taken countless pregnancy tests at home and they were all positive, all my other pregnancies ive been booked in straight away with no problems. This is my 4th baby and i've never had anything like this before, it seems like such a farce to get booked in this time round and i was made to feel like a complete liar today, the fact they wouldnt take my word for it that im pregnant i reckon im 8/9weeks and just want to get booked in asap as im anxious and want reassurance that all is going well

confused she has never done it before for me but I think as this is the furthest iv got and we've been through a lot together it's to ease my anxiety but she did say not finding it doesn't mean it's not there....and it's my choice so il see how I go/feel this week.
I also own one but can never/have never found it and only heard my own!
no more scans till my 12 week one which should be in next 2 weeks. I'm so impatint/scared/excited. and allowing myself to think it's going to happen this time.
my oh even mentioned schools 😱 when we move. he feels different to this time!!

Just had my scan. Couldn't see anything other than the sack which she said is normal for 6 weeks...only I'm meant to be 7... so got to go back next week to have a rescan. If anyone knows about scans she told her colleague measurements 16 10 and 6.

I'm now really worried and going to be a mess for the week!

Useless trivia of the day: they could tell I ovulate from my right ovary

When I had my early scan I thought I was a couple of weeks further on than I was! I've got another tomorrow when I should be 6+4 and will hopefully see more.

No. Mine are regular but short. I've found a handy chart that says my measurements mean I'm 6+6 so not overly far off from where I think I am

Snap! I was totally freaked out until I saw a growth chart.

Just keeping everything crossed I see a bean that's grown tomorrow.

Play Glad they have goven you some insite! Did they say anything about a Yolk Sac?

When i had my scan at 5+4 all they could see was a sac with a Mean Average Diameter of 3.4mm and a yolk sac and i really panic'd when i looked at the normal sac measurement chart! Lol when i found the Mean Average chart i felt so much better seeing i was bang on!

No yolk sac. She said she thought she could see bean but wasn't 100% sure it was all unclear. She showed me and I couldn't see anything but the outline of the sac tbh. I'm not hopeful.

If I was 5 or 5+1 like she thought, I'll be 6+2 or 6+3.

Trying to think positively & not let scanxiety get the better of me.

Sorry it wasn't very reassuring Wurtz, I hope you can plan in some nice things to distract you for the week? Fingers crossed things will look better next week.

That's really strange missbrightside I've never heard of that before! They have no way of knowing if the test is yours anyway so it's hardly 'proof' - why not just get you to do one there if they are that bothered? All I've had to do with all 4 pregnancies is fill out my details and they have taken it on trust and set up the booking appointment.

Wurtz it could be you ovulated later than you thought or implanted late? Otherwise then being honest it doesn't sound too good, at my first scan for this pregnancy I was 5+1 and they could see the sac and the yolk sac on screen. At my second scan when I was 6+4 you could see the embryo, fetal pole and the heartbeat. At my MMC which is the only other one I've had an early scan for, they reckoned it died at 6+2 but I was 6+4 on the scan date, and there was a fetal pole and I remember it measured 5.2mm and there was no heartbeat and she said if an embryo measures over 5.0 then there really should be a heartbeat, words I will never forget.

Will keep everything crossed that she was a rubbish somographer and there is an embryo happily settled in your sac, or that the dates are slightly out and that by the next scan everything will be clear x

Play yeah it is concerning they couldn't see a yolk sac or fetal pole if she said 6 weeks but by her saying just a sac would be 6 weeks would lower my trust in her anyways. But i have seen miracles on here where people seem like ages behind and then in a week they have a heartbeat so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you hun did they give you a report of your scan at all?

Yellow at least its less than 24 hours... i am sure it will be fine hun! Just make sure you get the sonographer to explain everything they can see to you so you know!

To the ladies worrying about their symptoms easing or leaving - mine have also been easing over the last 2-3 days. Nausea much better, boobs less sore, but still bloated like crazy. I'm 8+5 and I read that for some women the symptoms can begin to ease off from around this time, and my symptoms arrived very early on in my pregnancy, so I'm taking this as a good sign! As long as I'm not in pain or experiencing bleeding, it's all good.

Thanks for your comments and well wishes. I'm taking heart in her saying she saw nothing to be concerned about and was reassuring in that she said everything she's seen is normal for the dates I'm measuring at. She did say the fact im (tmi) extremely constipated at the moment could be why the scan was so obscured. She got a better image off the stomach than the transvaginal but both were fuzzy and not at all clear.

I'm feeling optimistic for you play! I'm sure they would've given you a hint of a warning if there was anything to be worried about.

I'm so happy it's the weekend, got home from work at 2am burst into tears and woke up my husband who then also got up with DS at 5 so I could sleep. Vomited 3x today, once in the middle of the road outside a cafe 🤢

Hi everyone, just checking in on the new thread. Seems like there's been lots going on. Thoughts with everyone who is worrying

Due to a few concerns raised at my booking in I had an early dating scan at 9+4 which I was really nervous about but it was amazing - got to see a strong heartbeat and the baby wriggling around. I feel so much better having seen it, all feels more real now.

So far my midwife team have been incredible and so efficient and thorough, so I'm sorry to hear others are having to wait and put pressure on to get seen. That's not how it should be!

Is anyone else in Scotland like me? The baby box news today was quite exciting. Money is tight for us so I'm really excited about getting a safe place for the baby to sleep and things like thermometers. Also the poem made me cry! stupid hormones

Hey everyone. Checking in. Scan today was good and the IVF clinic have released me! So happy to graduate onto obstetric care... I don't want to be back in a fertility clinic for a long time. Also found out that DSis is pregnant too, due mid November. Hoping we both make it through to have healthy little cousins.

Hope everyone's feeling ok. Nausea, exhaustion, hormones and vertigo are no joke! Burst into tears today after argument with DH while toddler was misbehaving and I'm usually pretty laid back.
