I have actually only just started suffering with some aches and pains at night as of this week, I get lower back twinges and then an ache mid back just on my ribs which is super painful. Just started to adopt the pillow between the legs technique in bed, which does seem to be helping.. although they do always seem to be on the floor by the morning!

So what's the deal with waterproof mattress pads if you have a breathable mattress? Isn't it making it not breathable anymore (and should I care)?

Nat very good question. I have not thought about it but you do have a point.

Lol NAT hadn't thought about it tbh! Just checked though and the mattress protectors say they're waterproof and breathable so no issues there!

I have also just checked the waterproof protector and it mentions the the waterproofing layer is weaved in with cotton so it is breathable. We bought our snuzpod 2nd hand and bought got a new mattress.

I've had shooting pains across my bum cheeks all week. And not in a kinky way. In a Jesus Christ my arse is seizing up with cramps way.

I've just bought sheets for snuzpod, not bothered with mattress protector as using a sleepyhead on it too so seems pointless?!

Week 24 - viability week!!! Still not massively showing with a bump though, which makes me mildly anxious. I'm hoping it's because I'm fairy tall with broad hips. My sister had a growth scan with her first so I wonder if I'll be similar. I read all the apps that say "your baby is 13 inches" and think

Happy weekend everyone! Not so happy for me as I'm working and feel pretty rubbish today, just tired and a bit sticky, think I've got to the point where the baby is pushing into my stomach - might be time to buy some gaviscon!

Thanks @glitterglitters - I remember at Xmas being n Norfolk with my sister who was pretty much exactly where I am now combing the few shops that were open for gaviscon for her and paracetamol for me! Now I understand how she felt but at the time I was so unsympathetic due to my blinding headache!

Oh god. Not fun! I'm going to stock up today just in case.

I've been living off Gaviscon for about 3 weeks so far and am only 22+2!!! I think by the end of this pregnancy it might actually have become a food group. I have the tablets in my handbag and the Tesco equivalent liquid at home as it's a lot cheaper.

Not sure if it's something to do with my height why I've got it so quickly - I'm 5'2". I also find its worse while sitting at my desk at work - in a way a good thing as it means I keep active at the weekend!

I'm 5'1 @CatRash and my sister is v short too so you might be right. I'm now desperate for chocolate and dried fruit isn't quite cutting it!

Could well be then. I imagine the shorter you are the less room there is in your torso area so things get squashed quicker.

I find chocolate, tomatoes, grapes and decaf tea make it a lot worse. Weirdly sparkling water seems to help. I read somewhere apples help but i haven't found that to be the case! Let me know if you come across any food/drink which help!!

Omg I've been hit badly with a stomach bug or food poisoning. Straight out of nowhere. Bad enough but with "other" pregnancy issues and a teething toddler to look after today is NOT my day 🙈😫

Glitters - that's not good. Hope it's over fairly quickly and not one of those long and thin bugs. DH woke up last sat about 3am and projectiled all over the bedroom. Nice.

For me coconut water helps hearburn immensely, as good as the antacids. People also tild me peppermint tea but that one didn't work for me personally. The best has been slowly identifying all the foods that make it happen (any bread/pastry type stuff main culprit) and avoiding those.

We went for the chicco next-to-me, we have a nice moses basket but gave it away, would rather something seamless with the bed. Should be delivered soon
