Thanks Loopy

Poor minxy, no one should have to go through it. Hope she's got lots of support at home. One doc said to me (pre ds) after 3rd or 4th mc ...at least you can conceive, it considerably increases your chances of getting a live birth at some point. At the time I could have punched them but looking back I can see that its true. Its just finding the strength to keep trying.

Anyway off for a cuddle with DH now, told him I was worried about tomorow and he's decided not to do any DIY tonight knew there was some reason I married him

minxy125 · 16/04/2007 20:02

Hi guys, as suspected not good news.... was rushed into hospital yesterday as was hemorrhaging, ambulance came and took me in. had scan this afternoon and there was no heartbeat.

Thank-you for all your kind comments, made me feel emotionally stronger. I do have a lot of support from my family, DP and Mum bought my DS to the hospital, so that was good for me, been told to take complete bed rest as I have lost a lot of blood and my blood pressure was really low.

So sorry to bring the mood down, and I hope that this hasn't put negatives in anybody's mind.

Made me realise I'm lucky to have me DS and my health, oh and my ever loving DP.

I am touched by all your comments and support, I wish you all the luck in the world with all your pregnancy's and look forward to hearing all the birth announcements! Hope you all have happy, healthy pregnancies. xx

Oh Minxy, I'm so, so sorry. My very best wishes for a speedy physical recovery. The emotional side, will take a lot longer I know, take care of yourself. x

tryingfortwo · 17/04/2007 13:18

Love and hope to you Minxy. Glad your surrounded by so much love and support.

Pheebe · 17/04/2007 13:25

Well its done everythings fine and there's just the one. I think it was asleep as it wasn't wriggling but the heart was beating away and everything looked like it should

They've changed my dates though, apparently I'm 12+4 not 11+6 which gives me an EDD of 26 October. Doesn't seem right to me, knowing when we did the deed and all that but hey who am I to question! Not sure what the etiquette is now, do I have to hop over to the october thread???

Hello everyone, I'm new to MN and this group. I'm 8+3 and have a scan tomorrow, 18 April (early because I've previously had a missed m/c). I'm due on 24 November - that's my counting but as I'm a clockwork 28 day woman it's reasonably accurate. Good luck to everyone.

Hiya Fingernails, welcome aboard, good luck with your scan tomorow.

Loopy, I was pretty confident about my dates so for now I'm going to assume somewhere between the two and stick around if thats ok with you all

Going to spend a couple of hours with DS in the sun now lifes good

iris66 · 17/04/2007 14:24

congratulations Fingernails and welcome

Pheebe - you could always post on both threads (twice the support!) I agree with Loopymumsy though I was induced last time and, as I think my date is going to be put back to Oct too, I'm going to fight to keep it as late as possible!

Loopymumsy - you thought 3 close together would be good because... you are under the influence of some mind warping drug - more hormones anyone?

I actually thought that having just one little one as well as a teen to help would be easy. ROLF

GermanGal · 17/04/2007 15:38

Hi all.... I'm new here... and first time pregnant (10+4, due Nov 9th).... and sooooo excited that I just cannot shut up (although it's not even "safe" to talk about it openly!!!!) .... is it normal to be so terribly worried and nervous about everything?? Another good 2 weeks to go until the "big" scan... had quite a few already (the system is very different here in Germany), so I've seen the heartbeat and the little thing wriggling around, but that still doesn't make me relax....arrrgghhh....

snig · 17/04/2007 15:44

Hello just had my first scan today aswell and everything was fine, although have just found out my bmi and that was not good news. Felt like crying. Just have to be extremely careful on waht i eat now. My due date has now been given as oct 31st.

Thanks Loopymumsy
Actually, what is the story with exercise in the first and second trimester?? At the moment, I'm feeling too paranoid to move.... well, I am going for long walks, but haven't been to the gym or the yoga studio, since my yoga instructor told me that the baby could get loose....I ran back home as quickly as I could!! I'm getting a bit impatient now though... is it "safe" to exercise?? Apart from swimming (which I hate....) ....

hi can I Join in? been watching this thread few shaky starts with this pregnancy but had second scan today saw heartbeat and although not 'out of the woods' just yet feel so positive wanted to share it. have 2 ds and this little one due 20th November X

Pheebe · 18/04/2007 08:01

Hiya fees and welcome. Wobbling goes with the territory round here but a heartbeats great news well done

iris66 · 18/04/2007 08:30

MNmorning all
Congratulations GermanGal and fees

GermanGal - gentle exercise is normally encouraged but you do have to be careful as your hormones make all your ligaments soften so it's easy to damage yourself. about the yoga though (is your instructor not very experienced? - I would have thought that with care you could do most of the positions (I did yoga last pg)) It may be something you could check with your MW/Dr though if you're unsure.

snig - I do sympathise with you. I developed gestational diabetes last time & could hardly eat anything (but that was because I didn't want to go on insulin) it's pants isn't it. On the up side though you could end up healthier by the end of your pg than before . As Loopymumsy mentioned, if you can incorporate a little extra activity into your day it'll make a huge difference (and the endorphins will make you feel good too! - just go steady eh )

Lovely, lovely day here. DS back at creche this morning (he only goes 1 morning a week but it's such bliss to have the free time - expecially when DH is working away!)so I get a few hours to catch up.

Hope everyone else is well.

GermanGal · 18/04/2007 08:59

Good morning Iris66, and thanks for the warm welcome
The yoga instructor is quite experienced, that's why I got really worried... I'm actually doing Ashtanga yoga, so that might have something to do with it.... my Doctor said yoga was fine, but "nothing physically exhausting".... so I assume he doesn't know that I'm normally dripping in sweat after 2 hours of vigorous Ashtanga
The first few weeks I wasn't up to much anyway, so I just "listened to my body" (and watched DVDs on the sofa)....

Roll on 5th of May.... nuchlear fold scan and "3-D" ultrasound.... hopefully I will be able to relax after that....

How is everyone else, on this beautiful sunny Wednesday morning??
