Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm now on the october thread after my scan yesterday that puts me around 12 weeks!! My 'period' was implantation bleeding or just bleeding as I'm still bf my cycle hasn't come back. Now due end of october.

Best wishes to all xxx

iris66 · 04/04/2007 13:54

maisym - congratulations!!! A month less to wait - you lucky, lucky girl!!

Jonze - I agree with miable that M&S are very insistent you get non-wired. However, if your bra is professionally fitted (and completely supports all the breast tissue around the sides and front rather than squashing any) I personally don't see a problem (just my opinion though ). I bought nursing bras when I got really big (ie for the last trimester) but stuck with underwired before then & will do so again.
Hope you can get your work started soon! - what a nightmare!

SparklyGothKat - sounds like you had a hideous day yesterday (the full moon probably didn't help! - IME it seems to get even the calmest people a bit hyped - can only get better now ) Hope today is better for you & that your MS is easing.

I spent this morning sorting out all my smaller clothes to pack away & hunting down my mat stuff. DD was giving me a hand & demonstrated how some of my old nursing bras actually fit her head! A scary reminder of things to come!

SparklyGothKat · 04/04/2007 15:50

today has been ok, DS and DD1 went to their Special needs playscheme, while me, DH and DD2 went to allergy clinic. They are testing Dd2 for peanut, tomato and dog/cat allergy. Picked up my maternity notes while we were at the hospital, so I have them for next week. Also had to take my cat to the vet as he is struggling to pee again, so he needed an injection ASAP. Lots of fun today!! Am tired now.

Hello all and congratulations, i'm preggers with my second due on November 7 (3 days after my little boys b'day, he was born 4 Nov 04)

My first pregnancy was a breeze, that was until the little blighter decided to come 2 months early He's fine and dandy now though and full of himself at nearly 2.6, gonna have to think about nappy training Had my first bit of ms this morning, halfway thru changing Dougs nappy and i have to run and throw up in the kitchen sink Doug was chuckling behind me going "what you doing mummy"
Feel quite nervous about having number two as working 3 day week at the mo and don't know how i manage being at home with the two of them, hopefully will be too busy to notice

apeainapod · 04/04/2007 17:46

Afternoon, hopefully most of you are having a better day today than yesterday! I had an Easter party at home for 18 kids and Mummies..... thank Goodness it's over....

After having lunch with a group of friends and their kids today, after a very hot morning (38 degrees!) in the sun doing pottery with them all, they ALL know! I thought that the pizza was for everybody so I had 5 slices!!! - the kids then went out to play, and then the Mummies 'salad' arrived . I took the rest of the Easter cake from yesterday's party and we (the kids and I) all tucked in!

Definitely no room for excuses anymore. Also apparently it was rather obvious because I didn't get the wine out!

So so so looking forward to the weekend, 7 hour flight with 3 kids and ms, but then ENGLAND for 3 weeks!! I have the packing to do now! If I don't get around to it before I shall be back at the beginning of May when we shall all be well on our way to big bumps! Have a good Easter x

Pheebe · 04/04/2007 17:53

Hi All

Can't believe I'm 10 weeks today!
Well I had the worst day ever on Sunday. DS became a hormonal teeanger overnight and in te end DH had to separate us for our own safety prompting unhelpful coments like..if you can't cope now how are you going to cope when...
I was so so tired, never felt anything like it. Seems I absolutely have to have a rest eearly afternoon now. Luckily I work from home so have been able to rearrange my days slightly.
Still no sign of ms abating
Is anyone else getting erm groin pain? can't be sps so early can it??? I can barely walk this afternoon...
Have a great Easter weekend everyone

Did you not hear of immaculate conception?? When I was pg with DS2, DS1 was only 4 months, my MIL said 2 "NEXT time you want a child you should ask your husband!!" I really did have to laugh and laugh and laugh! By number 4 she has learned to keep quiet.... (DH is an only child).

He's now learnt NOT to make such ridiculous comments believe me
Must say I'm surprised by your MILs reactions, my MIL can't get her daughters and me (as her only 'adopted daughter') preggers fast enough... She's been dropping hints since DS was about 6 months old!!

SparklyGothKat · 04/04/2007 20:46

I thought I was over my MS as haven't been sick for a few days. Missed dinner as I had fallen asleep (DH did his and the kids), woke up and decided to cook my dinner after the girls were in bed, BIG mistake, I was so hungery I threw up this evening
I feel horrible now, even though I have eaten. I feel tired and grotty.

SparklyGothKat · 05/04/2007 08:25

I actually think I have the sickness bug, kept waking up in the night feeling sick. have been sick 3 times and feel completely poo. Was going to take the kids to the farm today but I am going to have to leave it nnow

Minicooper · 05/04/2007 09:29

Hello, everyone, can I join? Am 5+6 weeks - due 30 November so will be one of the last on this thread. Was waiting to join after scary week with bad period-type pain and feared the worst, but had early scan yesterday and all seems ok so far - hurrah! Feeling nauseous but not sick so far - but its probably still to come, is it?!

SparklyGothKat · 05/04/2007 10:03

The midwife just phoned me, she was going to fit me in today, but as I am so ill I can't go. She was very nice and said that if I need to see her at any time, just to phone.

Jonze · 05/04/2007 10:06

Welcome minicooper! You won't necessarily get ms, if you are lucky, but it does seem like most people start getting it around 7 weeks. I don't have ms, but have extreme tiredness, which is a drag when you have a very active tornado in the guise of a 3 year old.

Don't even get me started on MILs. I've never truly disliked anyone until I got to know her. Thank goodness she lives in France, doesn't like to leave her village, and doesn't speak English, or else I would hate her. I better stop because I don't have one kind word to say about her. My husband is on my side about her, or else we would seriously have problems.

apeainapod · 05/04/2007 10:16

Jonze - how marvellous that she doesn't speak English!!! Or is it.....?

I LOVE my parents in law, but when it comes to the kids they don't really have a clue, although now they are really trying. MIL seems to think that women should be pampered all day long and change clothes for lunch and dinner etc, and not get fat, no that would be a baby growing in there! DH was brought up by a troop of Nannies. (I wonder what the collective name is for a group of Nannies?

Minicooper · 05/04/2007 10:23

Collective name must be swarm - or maybe pride?

BeansterMum · 05/04/2007 10:28

Hi Guys - reading the messages everyone seems to be doing really well and flying along - I've joined the New Dec thread as you all are (except Loopymummy and Superloopy) due weeks before me and was depressed as I want things to go nice and quickly this time. Seeing my GP next friday (will be 7+1 then) and hopefully will find out the crack re. scans up here in the wilderness of Scotland!

Glad to see you are all still around though - all the best - in my beffuddled state of mind can't do 2 treads at the same time

barrelrider · 05/04/2007 16:03

Iris66 Hi there! Just got your message on the Due December post, thanks so much for coming to say hello! How's it going? Hi to everyone in here, congratulations to you all, what a lovely start to the spring!

apeainapod · 05/04/2007 17:46

Does anybody else have a rather short temper at the moment?

I am so angry at everyone, and the slightest thing is irritating me - even the dogs!

WHERE IS EVERYONE?? are we all too tired to MN??

apeainapod · 07/04/2007 18:55

Just about to get on the plane, Happy Easter - hope all this sodding ms disappears for all us soon x

iris66 · 08/04/2007 08:36

SGK - lol - looks like it doesn't it
I'm battling with my sense of smell at the moment - coffee smells of wee and I keep smelling gas in the kitchen whenever I'm cooking (we're all electric!!!) Everything smelt of fish to me during my last pg - it's a bit of a joke in our house

apeainapod - hope you have a fab trip.

Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine. We're off visiting friends today - just hope the roads are quiet!
