Hi everyone
Finally plucked up the courage to ask if I can join in with you guys too! Not that you're a scary bunch but I don't have the best track record and I'm TOTALLY supersticious about this pregnancy. Anyway, I'm 9+3 today, have a heartbeat (thank god for home dopplers) and an EDD of 1 November. I won't list my failures but I do have a gorgeous, precious, fabulous ds who is the light of my life (just turned 2 and a half). Here's to all of us

welcome Pheebe

MS paid me a reminder visit today . Entirely self inflicted though as I didn't eat for over an hour after I got up and sooo paid for it. Spent ages clinging onto the kitchen sink dry retching - I still feel really nauseous. Vile. I just want to sleep.

SparklyGothKat · 01/04/2007 11:38

That happened to me this morning Iris. I didn't eat, had only drunk a cup of tea and then threw up in the downstairs loo. It was nasty.
I have bad back pain, I think my ligaments are softening, but its soooo painful.

Morning all. I read my preganancy book on Saturday - a week by week account of what's happening t you, baby etc etc. Please to say that now at 8 weeks it should be the height of ms and therefore ONLY another 4 weeks before the feeling starts to dwindle. Whoppee - 4 MORE WEEKS?????

Welcome pheebe.....

Totally awful weekend. Pipe burst in the upstairs shower room...twice. Have had running water intermittently over the past 3 days. Read PIA when you have to go to the loo once an hour and can't flush. They say the whole wall between the entrance way and the reception room, as well as the ceiling for the reception room, needs to be knocked down and redone due to damage. How the hell am I going to keep a 3 year old away from the "Bob the Builders" for the next, oh, 6 weeks?

iris66 · 02/04/2007 17:34

Jonze - what a PITA!!! At least it happened now though, and not in 6 months time (excuse the pollyanna moment - have clearly had too much sun today!)

MS a bit better today (was eating biscuits within minutes of waking) apeainapod I am comforted by the thought of it going at 12 wks. However, I'm trying not to think of what it could be replaced by! (Though, in all fairness, I faired pretty well with the last 2 (apart from antenatal and postnatal depression with DS - but I put that down to me being in a crappy place emotionally at the time rather than it being purely pg related.)

Hope everyone is fairing well. Has anyone got a scan this week?

apeainapod · 02/04/2007 17:46

Well now I am really bloody worried. The boys have been bouncing on the bed, rather excitedly because we are due to be in the UK for 3 weeks at the weekend! Anyway nothing wrong with bouncing BUT NOT ON ME! They both fell on my back, I said a few 'choice' words to them, which made them feel really awful, which now has made me feel really awful, and now I have given them to the Nanny for the afternoon - they're having aload of fun, and I am feeling guilty! And we've got number 4 on the way....? Who's bright idea was that????

Loopy - I was worried about me and the effect of 2 boys bouncing on my back! Where we live we are very lucky in teh fact that we have a lot of help in the house and with the kids. The only problem will be with our popular airline (we fly back and forth quite a bit)- they raise their eyebrows at us now, let alone 4 kids and a 7 hour flight - in Business Class!!

today has been ok, no ms today but still really tired. Have had bad back pain, which my sister says is the ligaments softening.
TMI alert.... has anyone noticed an increase in discharge??

SGK - Yes

iris66 · 03/04/2007 09:55

Yay!!!! my boobs are finally growing DS sucked the life out of them for 11 months and, as I'd lost loads of weight too, I ended up with virtually nothing left. I actually fill one of my pre(last)pg bras now!! yippeee (previous day's pollyanna type affliction now officially replaced by unneccessary excitement over small things.....)

talking of small things, I'm taking DS to the garden centre now to find us some plants for my hanging baskets & pots (and to introduce him to "dirt" ) should be fun!

Loopymumsy for that reason alone I'm so glad DH is away at the moment!!

Why thank you (.V.)

SparklyGothKat · 03/04/2007 17:04

[sob] I am tired, feel sick, have a headache and my kids are being little sh*ts today. They are being so noisy. DH is dying as he has the sickness bug and I am having to deal with them by myself... DD1's ADHD is in full steam today and I certainly know I have her today.....

my dog has a sore ear, so just had to phone the vet to see if the drops we were given a month ago are still ok to use. One of my cats shit on dd1's duvet because DH hasn't cleaned the litter tray out, and because he is dying I ended up sorting out the duvet and the tray. I keep telling him that the tray has to be cleaned out and litter changed every 3 days, but does he bloodly listen.... Don;t worry I washed my hand with scalding hot water and lots of soap.

i guess I possibly have had it as I have had cats since I was a baby. We had a cat when I was pregnant with all my kids (he died 3 years ago ) and we have got 3 now.

Jonze · 04/04/2007 08:40

I'm surprised that a toxo screen isn't part of your booking bloods (it is standard parctice in US). I believe that if you have had it in the recent past (6-9 months), you should be immune. Longer than that, immunity fades.

Boobs are getting bigger too. I guess I need to go out and buy some bras. Question...do I need to go out and buy pregnancy bras (pretty ugly) or can I just get some pretty bras in a bigger size (OK, vanity refuses to give in just yet).

Insurance guy came by yesterday to say that not only does the wall and ceiling need to be replace, but also the floors! He also warned me that the whole process would take a minimum of 2 months.

This baby is supposed to have good luck all of its life (being a Golden Pig)...where is the good luck?!?!?

miabl2 · 04/04/2007 11:06

Morning all,

My MS hasn't fully kicked in yet as I'm only 6 weeks but it was pretty bad last time and kicked in about 8 weeks so looking forward to that.

Jonze you have to get bras without any underwire when you're pregnant. Can't remember why but the woman in M&S went into a whole speil when I got measured last time.

Hope everyone is well apart from the MS and backache.
