Hello all, I've been missing on this thread but just wanted to say I'm sorry to all those who have had bad news and good luck for those awaiting scans. My dates have been moved again so I'm now EDD 18 sept so I'm going to bow out of the thread now X

I am freaked the fuck out is the God's honest truth! I wondered a tiny bit because I've had worse sickness than last time and also starting to show a little already. But it really was the shock of my life.

I am sure we will be very happy when we've processed and I am most definitely very happy to see heartbeats. But there goes my homebirth, for sure.

I haven't logged on for a while hope everyone is ok? I'm really struggling with eating at the moment, my appetite is just non existent and I'm forcing myself to eat small snacks throughout the day. I feel like I've lost a lot of weight because of it. I'm taking my multi vitamins but still worried. Is anyone else the same?

Hi all, Can I join? Got my BFP on 02/03, due 12/10, so about 8 weeks. hadn't really been trying too hard, as didn't want to get stressed about it. Came of cerelle in October and had first period in November, 49 day cycle with next one starting 05/01. Thought my body was just messing about after coming off the pill but had a few funny tummy bubbling so tested and couldn't quite believe it! Waiting for a booking appointment and scan date. With my DD and DS I knew when I was only a a couple of weeks so feels very strange being 8 weeks and only just finding out!

Congrats under! How do they know this early that the twins are identical?

But I did get a letter saying I'm due for a cervical smear. Does anyone know if these are still done when your are pregnant?

I think it was someone on here who recommended clipper decaf tea? Just wanted to say thanks! You've saved my life, I'm such a tea addict and only having two cups a day was killing me.

They share a sac as well as a placenta- they're monochorionic monoamniotic (MCMA) twins. Those can only be identical.

They are the rarest type of twins and the risks are terribly high, like 50% survival high :( I was just shocked at first but now I'm increasingly devastated.

Tippety I'd probably not bother with My Ultrababy for a 3D scan - the photos in the waiting room were a bit meh. But for adapting scan they were fine. It was weird waiting with a music channel on the TV in the waiting room as it felt more like a beauty salon!

Under I hope you're ok. Will you now be having plenty of scans along the way to check growth etc? Fingers crossed it all goes swimmingly and you have your healthy twins in October!

Walikingdeadfan I was told in my booking appointment that although I'll be called up for my next smear test during my pregnancy you can't have them until three months post-birth so just tell them you're pregnant and they'll rearrange, hope that helps! X
