Kitty I got Paul mckennas book and cd 'how to change your life in 7 days' ages ago, I listened to the cd and then after I caught my reflexion passing a mirror and thought, 'I look gorgeous' It was great who cares if I look like sh*t as long as I think I'm gorgeous....must start listening to it again now I'm 40!

I've had a lovely birthday. Got nice pressies, dh didn't get me a card he got me roses instead and he cleaned ds2 dirty nappy today, his fourth ever

I loved the virtual party today ooh and I spent all afternoon in bed, (contented sigh)

Evenhope glad you are feeling perkier.

Come on Monti!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 01/03/2007 20:08

Rosy, I badly need that cd . I've never in my life managed to listen to any hypnosis cd all the way through. They always send me to sleep
Well your dh has done more nappies than mine by about er 4!!! Before we had kids he said he'd never do nappies and he never has. He'll put clean pull ups on the babies though.
Glad you've enjoyed your birthday though

DollyPopsOut · 01/03/2007 20:09

Happy birthday Rosy and Diva! Hope you have had a wonderful day!

DollyPopsOut · 01/03/2007 20:19

Sorry but I was cut off there! I am so happy for Leo - having 2 lovely boys at once is great news! So what's the tally boy girl wise on the thread now? I have a feeling that we were very boy heavy on the stats thread, so we need our surprses to be girls to even it out a bit.

Jay, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I really hope that he gets to meet his DGC soon.

Lunar, I am still working and am hating every minute of it. Mostly from home now but have to grace the office with my presence for one last time on monday. Can't come sooon enough now.

Sorry to everyone with high BP. Hope you are all resting well. Foxy, hope you get going soon. Booboo, hope Dr Sarah can give you some good news tomorrow and that your homebirth will still be on.

Am suffering from a bad dose of pregnancy rage at the moment. HAve had lots of work done in the house and have had to give the workmen who haven't performed properly a good talking to .I have stopped the cheque for one of them as I am so cross that they haven't answered my calls. Hey ho!

Am very large and uncomfortable now. 2 friends who haven't seen me for just a week said how I have popped and am now looking seriously large. Hope they meant it in a nice way .

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 20:24

ok...you are making my dp sound like a saint now as he regularly changes dd2's dirty nappies.he doesnt even say anything, its just a case of who smells her first ,changes her,and it works out about equal(unless one of us has a cold).

he bought me a card(to my 'wife')which was really sweet and he wrote loads of romantic stuff in it.he also bought me a box of chocolates which im scoffing now

i rang my mum before and she said my nan's cancer has returned as bad as it was before she had the chemo, and its in both lungs.she could have more chemo but the consultant said he wouldnt recomend it at her age(82).they are just going to keep an eye on her now.

fox-is monti holding out for the full moon?
i havent been able to get that image of onion bahjis with 'dip' out of my head all day.

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 20:31

rosy-i think i will have to get that book with some of my birthday money!i think the message would still get through if i were asleep as im obviously highly suggestible when in that state.note to self-do NOT fall asleep whist 'cheaters' is on reality tv again.

dolly-i felt like that yesterday,at least in your case you are using your rage productively

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 20:33

Diva - so sorry about your gran's bad news - how old is she?

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 20:44

she's 82.my nan and grandad were married for 60 years and shes just been waiting for 'her time' since he died.

she gave up smoking when my mum was expecting me(my mum and nan gave up when my dad died, which was when my mum was 34 weeks pregnant with me)and she hasnt touched a cigarette since, yet she has lung cancer

Jaysecond · 01/03/2007 20:47

Diva, sorry about your Gran, whats with our Grandparents at the moment

having lots of BH again, really tight and uncomfortable, cmon cmon cmon boy, get ya bum out!

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 20:48

Your poor gran

My auntie has cancer of the oesophagus (sp??) and they think that's linked to when she used to smoke too.

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 21:05

jay-i dont know, maybe they have just been waiting for the new babies?my grandad died when ds2 was 8 months old.

wouldnt you rather your lo gets his head out first??

Jaysecond · 01/03/2007 21:16

YES YES YES, Head first please.... having more dull aching cramps in lower abdomen, every time i get them i pray this is it.....

Chocolatepenny · 01/03/2007 21:21

Hope so Jay! these babies often pull a few of them though and then its another night rolling from side to side

eidsvold · 01/03/2007 21:29

diva my father in law never smoked and still managed to contract lung cancer!!

hope those whose babies are 'on the move' have some news soon.

Sorry to hear about people's grandparents being poorly.

Knackered and I have just woken up - did not sleep well last night. Hopefully dd2 will go off to sleep pretty quickly when we get back from swimming and I can crash for a couple of hours too before getting dd1.

36 weeks today
3 weeks to go yeh
by this time in 3 weeks will have been as hospital for an hour so hopefully almost ready for theatre.....(7.30am here)

sazzybee · 01/03/2007 23:13

Sorry to hear people's grandparents aren't doing well.
This time next week I'll be at the hospital being induced. I can't believe it's nearly here. I feel like I've been pregnant for about two years

rosylonginglily · 02/03/2007 06:58

Sorry about your Gran Diva Your dp is a honey. Liked the 'wife' card! Is he trying to tell you something???

Gosh our pregnant days are numbered!

Now we are missing a Fox this morning......

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 08:48

I'm here - all pregnant and correct!!

I bet you've all got hangovers after the party last night?

Well I slept OK and had painful contractions:

two of them, about 4 hours apart LOL!!!

So am playing a waiting game now. Wouldmn't be surprised if this ncarries on all day today.....

Hi Eids sorry you didn't sleep well

Mossie · 02/03/2007 09:02

Diva sorry to hear about your Nan.

Your dp's card to you sounds really sweet, hope you enjoyed the chocolates!

Dolly and Lunar, you are very brave still working, I hope you don't have to overdo it and that your respective employers understand you are pg after all.

Foxy do you think today is Monti's birth day? Or do you think it will be a few days?

Well dh has taken the day off today, so not sure what he has planned or whether we'll just be dossing around the house together, either way it will be nice!

Hope everyone has a good day, I'll pop back later to see who else has given birth!

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 09:04

Mossy Hi

Have had a bit of blood, so will call QC (may just be the remainder of the show).

muppetisacat · 02/03/2007 09:36

Foxy hope you're doing ok - my sil had a little bit of bleeding the day b4 she delivered and the mw's said it was perfectly ok - but phone and check anyway - I'm sure it's just another sign that you are hours rather than days away from birth.

Rosy and Diva hope you enjoyed yourselves last night. I would do a witty link to a picture of some virtual alka seltzer but with my track record of trying to do links I'd only fail. I believe that oldest stripper in town link has jinxed my computer! Still - he was worth it wasn't he!

Sorry about your nan Diva. will you be able to visit her easily?

39 weeks today

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 09:49

Muppet, thanx, just rang QC and they said its fine as long as its pink but if it turns red will have to call them again.

Am holding out for my natural birth in the birth centre (with disco ball!!)

rosylonginglily · 02/03/2007 09:53

Oh Fox I so hope you get the birth you hope for! It'll maybe just progress throughout the day. lol at your pregnant and correct post

Muppet am dealing with virtual hangover by eating four real life breakfasts!

spongecake · 02/03/2007 10:26

sorry about the grandparents who are ill.

hope you enjoyed your virtual party Rosy and Diva.I had to sleep alone last night as dp said i fidgeted too much and he needed some sleep

sounds like more babies are on their way. my bh stopped in the night, but I have rechecked my bag -added arnica tablets- and am settling down to a lazy day doing some open university stuff and reading.

Piffle · 02/03/2007 10:49

Morning all
Grrr heartburn arrived with a vengeance last night!
Not really suffered like some of you have but still had it this morning!
Remegel did nothing
might have to revisit my 2 shredded wheat snack at 10pm
if I don't eat then I wake up with hunger at 3am...

took a walk round town thru all the 2nd hand shops getting dark coloured duvet covers and old curtains for protecting my bedroom.
Am 37 wks TODAY so can have my homebirth anytime from now Hooray!
Also bought some witchhazel water for applying to bruised and sore bits afterwards.

Ladies on your 2nd babies - be prepared for shocking afterpains.
Had barely any with 1st (ds), had 2nd (dd) drug free natural, nearly collapsed in tears and had to have codeine when afterpains started. Came as a right shock...

well wlaking around town was fun not, so much pressure and pain down below.
Am not doing that again!

Hanifah · 02/03/2007 11:02

Hi! Im new to the thread. Im 25yrs old and 38+2 preg with first child,ds so my due date is 14th March. Im from Dublin but living in Croydon and suppose to have my baby in the labor ward of mayday(which everyone says is terrible)bcos Im "high risk" (due to b12 deficiency) I think thats kinda stupid cos ive had no probs associated with pregnancy but at least it means i can get an epidural if i decide gas and air isnt enough. Febs gone pretty quick but i am FED UP! My babys head has been 3/5 engaged since 33 wks which everyone told me meant "oh ul go early, like 2-4 wks at most" Well...it didnt happen and after 5 weeks I cnt take anymore! The last week r so been in agony, literally getting abt 2 hrs sleep due to bh's,back pain, periody leg pain and just generally feeling this cant b right im gona hav d baby soon...I cudnt get app2see midwife til next week so this week I called hosp as was in so much agony&they sent me to foetal assesment..the midwife wasnt 2 nice at first, thought i wanted to be induced...but after monitoring me and seeing contractions(not to mention me balling my eyes out)she agreed to give me an internal...which showed dat my cervix is nowhere near ready!it hurt a bit so i thought maybe she gave me a stretch-til she wrote on my chart that she cudnt reach my bloody cervix!argh!she told me she thinks the babys posterior and thats y so much pain, which was a real disappointment4me cos gp/consultant had previously said hes engaged and anterior...so dunno if hes turned or shes wrong, will see on mon at gps, maybe hell have turned by then...i never put my feet up,sleep on my side etc...thought everything was going according to plan and id have my baby by now, really thought id go in feb(so did everyone else who kept saying ur huge ur abt 2 go anyday blah blah), now just hoping i dont go beyond my due date! Am taking rasp leaf capsules and tryna walk n stay positive, even tried sex once last week but made the bh's unbearable...so now im accepting that i just have to wait like everyone else(have stopped checking toilet everytime for mucous plug/show)! At least my mum is coming to stay 2moro to help me as dh's already taken so much time off work already. Well ive had my moan, nice to meet u all...anyone else huge, fed up of people calling&texting to ask "have u had the baby yet, any sign?" and getting more and more stretch marks by the minute?
