New thread before the old one explodes!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mossie · 01/03/2007 12:47

Jay, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandad. I hope he pulls through and gets to see your lo.

Eids glad it's a bit cooler for you now!

Piffle it is scary when the movements slow down, I had that the other day, strangely enough almost the moment I put the phone down from the hospital he started to kick and wriggle all the time!

Foxy I can't believe you really are about to pop! Maybe it was that DT stripper on Rosy and Diva's party thread that started you off!

Sazzy and Jay, looked at your photos properly now! Your bumps are about the same size as mine, but unlike you two the rest of me has expanded in line with the bump!!

I have been very busy this morning, I walked the dogs, tidied the house, went into town to pick up stuff from the sorting office, actually I cheated and got the bus back, as it's a 25 minute walk there and the same back again, couldn't do it twice, I'm too huge .

Now it's time to get started on the stew, but first I think some pasta for dinner along with some Raspberry Leaf Tea!

Sorry to anyone I've missed, you know, I go away for a few hours and suddenly everyone's disappearing off to have babies or birthday parties!!!

Mossie · 01/03/2007 12:49

Meant to add, oi Diva, you've not popped in to your very own birthday party yet!! Come on, there's strippers and cake and snacks and booze and everything!

muppetisacat · 01/03/2007 13:00

Yeah... but my date stood me up!

Jaysecond · 01/03/2007 13:08

Hey ladies in waiting, thanks for all your well wishes, it is a sad time especially for my Grandma, who is actually the fittest and most with it 82 yr i have known. Trouble is she has to look after Grandad mostly on her own and i jusy know that she will do so much for him that he will prob hang on for ages yet. And while i want that, i also dont want it to zap all the time she has left.... but i guess they do what they need to do. I cant get too emotional really, he has had a brilliant life and done a lot of things most other people havnt, so if anything happens it will be a celebration of his time here rather than a commiseration of him not being here anymore, i wouldnt want him to suffer for long.

Anyway, i dont want to go on and bring anyone down.

No news from Shanks yet?? mustve happened now, Fox did you say you thought you had had a show???? is it actually anyone EDD today?

My movements have slowed right down, still getting enough so as not to worry, but i think theres just no room for the blighter now!

Bought hospital food supplies today, had to replace my bar of choccie that i ate last night!!

spongecake · 01/03/2007 13:21

happy birthday diva and rosy, will drop in to the party later diva sorry about your nan, she sounds great fun. does she live near you?

have read the thread and forgotten it all almost instantly, brian is all over the place I think. Have spent morning tidying and noticing dust which i can't get to as I cannot bend.. not sure if this is beginning of nesting thing, dp is pleased he is fed up with doing housework.

Booboobedoo · 01/03/2007 13:32

Happy birthday Diva and Rosy! Two really significant birthdays. Hope you're both managing to wring some enjoyment out of them. (Rosy: here's a from me to your DH. "GET ROSY A BIRTHDAY CARD!!" Boo shouts across the Irish Sea).

Diva: I'm loving my thirties so far. Don't look significantly older (than last year anyway), and managed to get PG for the first time.

Foxy: I think you're going to beat me. I had something show-ish, but it wasn't very much and no blood tinge. A few low-down cramps but nothing to speak of. Bet it'll be you first!

Mossie: I shall have to get used to your new spelling.

Laidback: you've been so chilled through all the moving-from-Sri-Lanka nightmare. Having a bit of a worry now when most of the rest of us are virtually murdering our DPs is still pretty chilled for this stage, I reckon.

Jay: so sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Hopefully he'll be holding his new Grandson in his arms before long.

EDD 3/3
39+5
Boy

Booboobedoo · 01/03/2007 13:32

lol @ spongecake's 'brian' being all over the place.

Leoladyofleisure · 01/03/2007 13:33

o:!

Birth announcement

Chocolatepenny · 01/03/2007 13:40

Hey muppetisacat
Yes I am, in fact we might go for a tour of Labour ward this weekend, are you based near Guildford too? So far I have liked RS and found MW team to be good, although I never see the same on twice

Jaysecond · 01/03/2007 13:43

where did Fox go???

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 13:50

fox....you're in labour,arent you??????

Mossie · 01/03/2007 14:01

Booboo I wanted to be Mossy, 'cos it's my rl nickname too, but it had already gone!

I am getting used to my new spelling. But it just reminds me of girls at school who had "i" in their names instead of "y" writing the dot on the "i" with a little heart or flower. I was never one of those girls, far too geeky!

Spongecake, lol at your "brian" typo! Who is this mysterious chap who is everywhere and nowhere...?

Right I'm going to have a coffee now and then get on with making a stew.

Booboobedoo · 01/03/2007 14:07

Mossy: I'm going to carry on spelling your name like this, then. (I was never one of those hearts over the i's girls either).

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 01/03/2007 14:42

Think I'll carry on with that spelling too Mossy.
Been listening to my hypnosis cd. Although that's not strictly true. Everythime I put it on I fall asleep within minutes .
How's it supposed to do me any good if I've never listened to it?? Trouble is that even if I listen to it wide awake in a position that's not good for falling asleep, I still nod off. Grumble, grumble.

Yeah Spongecake, why don't you invite your Brian to the party??? Most of us have invited a special friend

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 14:46

Wonder if Monti will draw a heart over his "i"?

Still here I'm afraid - the party thread is great and what brilliant news about Leo.

When I walk around I get contractions, but when I sit they stop.

Definately a "show" earlier as it kind of carried on coming our for several hours.

DH has gone to colect the monsters from school and I'm going to make my sisters bed up for tonight.

Come on Monti .....

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 14:47

Kitty - perhaps when you sleep, your subconcious will listen to it?

muppetisacat · 01/03/2007 14:59

Kitty - how do you know what messages are being pumped into your subconcious if you fall asleep during the tapes. What if you start doing chicken impressions in the middle of labour?

Such great news from Leo - now we just need some from bethoo and shanks.

Foxy - you know what i'm going to say don't you.... nipple stim!

Chocpenny - we're near Farnham - luckily see the same mw each time but won't get her for birth as she doesn't really go to the hospital. 7 years ago i had ds at RSCH and had the head mw there - irish lady called Sheila Wheeler - mad with red hair but so spot on i'm desperate to get her this time! Look out for her!

Hope Rosy and Diva are still enjoying their b'days!

Chocolatepenny · 01/03/2007 15:09

Ok Muppet she sounds perfect, really want somebody slightly mad because it will make me feel better.
Thats if RS does not close down Maternity dep before I get to drop!
Farnham is great we planned to move there last feb we were house hunting but we ended up here cos a house came up. Also DH never stopped complaining about lack of off st parking and began to do my head in!

evenhope · 01/03/2007 15:27

Another new thread!

It was my last day at work today. I was worried I'd end up just slinking off but they'd decorated my desk and bought me loads of presents. The tears started when I saw them! Such lovely things, too.

I had an odd week last week when I felt I just couldn't cope with the whole pregnancy/ birth thing and just sort of flipped. I've been OK since, so heaven knows what that was about.

Looks like things are getting exciting for a lot of you. I've got another 18 days till my EDD and I'm convinced she'll be late. The bump has dropped considerably in the last couple of days. I feel really light and a lot fitter. Good sign?

Mossie · 01/03/2007 15:50

Hi Evenhope actually I was starting to wonder where you'd gone!

Nice your work bought you some prezzies. My work bought me a baby monitor, not a bad one actually, but trouble was I already had one.

Although having said that, the lady who cleans our offices who is absolutely lovely and dead funny, asked me on the qt what they got me for my leaving prezzie.

"An fing baby monitor? And you've been there two fing years? You know I hate that boss of yours. Every time I fing see him I want to spit on his fing head."

(This is the same lady who called Darth a lazy tw*t to his face because every time she knocked on to come and clean the office, it was always me who had to get up!)

So what are your plans now you're on maternity leave then?

Foxy, I can see it now, your Monti sitting in class with a dreamy look on his face writing out his name dozens of times interchanging hearts, flowers and ickle bees over the top of the "i" in his name!

Kitty I would get a transcription of your hypno CD and pronto! Who knows what messages it's beaming into your head while you sleep? You'll be lucky if it's telling you to walk like a chicken; more likely you're being set up to assassinate a world leader!

Just put the stew in to cook and I think I might have a little lie down now!!

Chocolatepenny · 01/03/2007 15:51

Yes Evenhope baby is making its way to the exit! Relax and Enjoy being at home

spongecake · 01/03/2007 17:06

oh dear at my brian typo v of you ladies who have had shows, bh etc. I haven't had a bh for a few days.

mossy, your cleaning lady at work sounds fun-a subject for dilbert?! i didn't get anything on the day I left, but my boss did give me stuff that his kids had grown out of (buggy etc) really nice of him, i thought.

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 17:13

kitty-be careful about subliminal messages.ive been having the most horrible dreams caused by falling asleep with the tv on.

i dont feel like ive woken up today.my mind was so active last night i feel like i havent slept.i just want the kids to go to bed so i can relax.good job i didnt plan to go anywhere tonight

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 17:56

I'm still here

Gonna have a curry and glass of wine for my supper...without the bajis

Nipple stim Muppet? hmmm, maybe try that after the wine

Sponge that's nice of your boss

Evenhope - maybe you felt down due to having to work and feeling so knackered? I had some really down moments, just felt I couldn't cope - all the hormones etc

have you popped into Diva and Rosy's party tonight?

Piffle · 01/03/2007 18:05

great news about Leo.
diva sorry about your nan, that kind of treatment must be so hard on the elderly, I hope she's ok.

Yeah when I get sick of BH's I lie down

Suffice to say I lay down a lot

Mossy how's home life?
Your cleaner sounded ACE made me giggle!!!
