I'm in the every half an hour solid cramps and contractiosn club, not getting worse, not going away
Who bloody knows...
LOL
Am off to bed now, baby feels so low that I reckon I could touch his head if I felt
not that I can reach
And not that I would either

it's all getting a bit erm
real I guess
Hope Sazzy got on ok today and Boo, I know she was so upset at beign so overdue I hope she has her babe at long last.

Right snooze time, paracetamol and baby allowing..

rosylonginglily · 14/03/2007 23:33

Hope you get some sleep Piffle.
I wish I was having a home birth. I don't want to go trekking into hospital.
I can't relax at all. My contractions are getting closer together, last count 10 minutes. Bum, I just want to go to bed not have to get dressed and go out and face a whole load of strangers....

Mossie · 15/03/2007 05:14

Morning ladies,

I can't sleep!

Piffle I didn't get chance to make your muffins yesterday but I bought some sunflower oil especially from Asda. Actually I bought some butter too which was the original problem but I'm determined to make them now anyway! So I will make them today and let you know.

Sounds like you & Rosy are both on your way anyway!

Jay I am sorry to hear about your crappy GP. At least the paracetamol will take the edge off it I suppose. Hope you're feeling better soon. Sorry but I'm not with you on Jason Statham... you can have him all to yourself I prefer my skinny geeks!!

Mistiek it's exciting you have a closer date now!

Madhide I hope your parents do get to see your little one but even if not it will certainly help them beat those end of holiday blues if they know they are coming back to a grandchild

Eids sorry about your poorly dd's as soon as one gets better the other comes down with something! Still at least they're not both ill at once and you can get some stuff done.

Laidback what was the news with your second offer on the house in Cornwall?

Well, about to go and get another hot milk and see how I go. Maybe there's something on telly. I could do with another hour of sleep as I have my driving lesson at ten and don't want to be sleepy in the car!

Mossie · 15/03/2007 05:37

Still can't sleep but there is an old Star Trek: Voyager on so I'll watch that and lie on the sofa and hope I drift off.

Ziggy has decided that even though it is half five in the morning he should be fed immediately. Do you think controlled miowing would work on a cat?

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 15/03/2007 07:17

Mornng [smile[

God luck Rosy an Piffle, sending those labour vibes your way.

Mossy, I know what you mean about the not sleeping. I've worked out that I am awake a good proportion of the night but am too tired to open my eyes or get up.
I'm trying to fight off this cold that the others have had, it's a really, really unpleasant one and I can't be doing with it now. Mothers just can't be ill, there is no such thing as lying on the sofa until you feel better.

Let's hope we hear from Boo and Sazzy soon.

Mistiek, you must be really excited about tomorrow, good luck with it all

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 15/03/2007 07:18

Excuse crap typos , time to go and find drugs for this cold methinks.

rosylonginglily · 15/03/2007 07:50

hello, this is rosylily's son, she went into labour last night at 2am and is away to hospital

TheBlonde · 15/03/2007 07:54

sweetbean · 15/03/2007 07:54

Morning All

Thinking of rosylily and wondering if she has her baby in her arms now!

Piffle - Good luck sounds like you are well on your way!

Well D Day is here and nothing happened last night DH has just left for work and I burst into tears! Thought it may have been happening last night as I had really bad pain then realised I needed to go to the loo and the pain went as soon as I had been!

DH then said oh is this it and when then talked about what we would do if it had started and my understanding was that we were calling in laws to come whatever time of day and he said well have you talked to them! I was so cross as it is always up to me to organise everything and I have a friend on standby but she is having really bad nights with her 2 children at the moment so don't want to call her unless I have to and she is also away on Saturday at a wedding so we do need a back up!

Then couldn't sleep and was up at 4.30! Sorry for having a rant seems I have a good day followed by a bad day at the mo! DD is in nursery all day so think I should go to shops for a spot of retail therapy

rosylonginglily · 15/03/2007 11:42

rosylily's son again, baby was born at 11mins past 9 and he is 8.4 pounds

TheBlonde · 15/03/2007 11:46

LaidbackinEngland · 16/03/2007 09:30

There's a new thread Fox.... scroll down a bit x

madhide · 16/03/2007 09:31

hi foxcub on a new thread see link in lunar seas message - see you over there!

evenhope · 16/03/2007 11:36

Hi all. Seen there's a new thread but want to post on the old one! My dear little girl was born on Tuesday at 10.58 by c section weighing 7lb 2oz. DS2 is absolutely smitten and we'd all forgotten how small babies are and how much space they take up!

Despite birth being complete opposite of plans it went very well and staff at hospital were fantastic. Couldn't have wished for a more positive experience. Came home yesterday and getting no sleep as madam sleeps all day and is awake all night.

TheBlonde · 16/03/2007 18:01

Congrats Evenhope - there is a postnatal thread somewhere now
