Happy Birthdays to Rosy and Diva!

Jays sorry to hear about your grandpa, it's hard when you're so excited about your new baby arriving and you hav to deal with horrible family news like that.
I remember visiting dd's great gran when pregnant with dd 37+5 after a bad fall where she shattered her hip and knocked herself out, she did not do well under the anaesthetic and they thought she might not make it. it was very hard to think about.

GG woke up about 3 hrs before we arrived to visit (4 hr journey) and was lucid and it was just so nice to be able to tell her how much we loved her.

Dd was born 3 days later They are quite close.

Had a panic about movements last night, little guy had a very quiet day hardly felt him at all, and his normal after dinner shenanigans just did not happen - we read dd a story and she rests her head on my tummy and the baby kicks her - well she likes it LOL
Last night 0 nothing
So do cold drinks, laying down. Finally as I am about to ring the m/w after posting on pregnancy board, he moves a little. Got a few more movements and this mornign he seems normal.
But was rare moment of panic for me. I don't do panic...
sod all else to report, plenty of "pains" lower tummy in the pm, plenty BH's in the meantime.
Packed my bags last night sort of...

happy birthday to Rosy - did not know you shared a birthday with Diva.

Oohhh looks like some babes are on the move.

Me - fed up, hot grumpy, but only 3 weeks to go and they are three busy weeks so no doubt 23rd will be here before I know it.

Chocolatepenny · 01/03/2007 09:16

Wow its March!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chocolatepenny · 01/03/2007 09:17

Happy birthday to birthday girls and happy births to the rest of us
3wks to go 4 me

muppetisacat · 01/03/2007 09:22

Hey chocolatepenny - are you going into RSCH? I didn't realise i lived near you!

LaidbackinEngland · 01/03/2007 09:37

Happy Birthday Rosy - I forgot it was your 40th today !!! Have a fantastic one. Hope your relationship starts feeling a bit more real x

Foxy - go girl ! Hope we hear some news from you soon.

Piffle - my boy had a quiet one yesterday too... of course until I got into bed and then it was a weird alien like bony foot for about 1/2 hour.

Jay - hope you get some more favourable news about your grandad soon .

Started to think about birth plan last night - lazy cow that I am. DH has all of a sudden got his Dr's hat on and was spouting for England on the pros and cons of vitamin K blah blah blah ... wish I'd just done it myself !

Just burnt a pan of porridge

OonaghBhuna · 01/03/2007 10:07

Sorry for gatecrashing I just wanted to wish Rosy HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LunarSea · 01/03/2007 10:22

Aargh! I was supposed to be interviewing 3 people today for my maternity cover - but 2 of them have dropped out this morning. Just have to hope that the remaining 1 is ok, or I can see my "working full-time until" date being extended again.

Happy birthday rosy! Welcome to your 40s - hope they are fabulous x
Foxy - ooooh how exciting! I'm convinced there will be some baby announcements today/tomorrow.
Jay - I'm so sorry about your grandad - I very much hope he manages to hang on until your LO is here. Hopefully if they've only just diagnosed it, he's got a little while for you all to come to terms with it. It's hard I know
Another rubbish night's sleep but nothing doing in the way of contractions or shows, just being kicked hard all night long. Thank god I don't have to work and can lounge around all day long
I shall go and raise a glass to the birthday girls on the other thread

Lizzylou · 01/03/2007 10:28

Sorry to crash....but I was on the March 06 board and my DS2 will be 1 on Sunday. Feeling very nostalgic about the whole birth/new baby thing and a bit broody (but definitely not having any more!)...just wanted to say good luck and enjoy

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 01/03/2007 10:36

Thankyou lizzy

Lunar your company are pants, they can't simply keep you working and working. Can't you just say that you are leaving on x day and that's that?
Piffle, glad the little man's woken up

I am becoming rather fond of peanut butter sandwiches

1973magpie · 01/03/2007 11:37

Morning All, feeling more cheery today, and hope everyone else is too

Happy Birthday Diva and Rosy

Have been having continuous dribs and drabs of show since my sweep the day before yesterday (sorry if TMI!), but unfortunately no more pains as yet, I think she's in there for the long haul

Jays - sorry to hear about your grandad, I hope that he is comfortable, and that he manages to hang on for his great gc

I hope everyone manages to keep their chins up during this long wait for arrivals

We still haven't heard from Leo, do you think her lo's are here?

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 11:46

Kitty - I have cravings for peanut butter when I'm PG too - the other day I scoffed a whole bag of monkey nuts (slap on wrists from food fascists)

Jay - I'm really sorry to hear about your grandad. I hope he is around to meet your LO; that would be very special for him. My granfdad was very poorly when DS was born and passed away soon after. I got them together as much as possible and took lots of pics of them, so DS can now see himself as a baby sitting on grandad's knees. My grandad loved meeting him.

Muppet - sounds as though you've got some stirrings down there too???

Rosy - happy 40th hey turn the music up! You look younger than 40 on your profile

Mind you everyone looks young to me

I'm still getting blood streaked mucous and have lower back pains now.

Have just arranged for DD to stay in nursery until 3pm and for another Mum to pick the DCs up in neccessary. Sister is on standby to come after work if need be.

What can I do now?

Lie down and eat pineapple maybe?

Boo - any more pains birthbuddy? I'm racing you don't forget!!

Piffle · 01/03/2007 11:48

fox sounds you're truly about to pop
Good luck hope this is it for you!

How dare I be the end of bloody March GRRRRR

Ellieump · 01/03/2007 11:54

hi all, popping in from April, how many babies do you have so far? just so ours seem more real

rosylonginglily · 01/03/2007 12:00

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Where's Diva gone? Is she having a real life birthday or something!!! Diva if you are having a quick and easy birth now I'll be very indeed!

I'm a wreck today, so tired and constantly hungry but nautious too. and heart burny
I'm trying to persuade dh to get me a birthday card. Left ds2 in the living room with him and dh let him fall asleep on the floor Starting to remember him now!
My sis is arriving later with copious amounts of lasagne and I've got lots of flowers. so I am having a nice 40th really.

Fox things are going to go up a gear for you any time now!!!! keep us posted with all the details!

Piffle · 01/03/2007 12:06

I think we have 3 confirmed babies,
We have a few missing in action including one set of twins expected, one induction on Monday was it ? Bethoo?
Shanks waters broke Tues night and she has not been on since yesterday morning.
So we expect a rush shortly

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 01/03/2007 12:09

Ellie, well we've got three (I think) that were born jan and feb, 2 of us have gone awol for quite a while now so presumed either pushing or nursing. Others are having grumblings and rumblings and some of us are looking to struggle on for another few weeks ( me ).

Cool Foxy, double check your bags and get ready for the disco ball

I keep trying to pack my incase bags but keep finding better things to do like coming here and eating. Actually I mostly do both at the same time .

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 12:11

Piffle · 01/03/2007 12:13

hope it was someone you knew fox

divastropwantstodrop · 01/03/2007 12:24

fox-

i want something to happen!i dont mind sharing my birthday, its not like im going to celebrate them for another 10 years.

my mum rang this morning and she mentioned that my nan saw the consultant yesterday and things arent too good.i dont know the full story yet,but last time i heard the lung cancer had shrunk dramatically in response to the chemo, but looks like its come back big-time now.

oh well, she did say she only wanted to stay alive a bit longer to annoy my mum, really she hasnt been the same since my grandad died in 2004.

right, better go and get the loopy child from nursery.

38+1...thats not right!!!

LaidbackinEngland · 01/03/2007 12:31

Fox - can you get a bit of sleep before the pain gets too much ... or are you too excited ? You could be labouring into the evening and a bit of shut eye now might give you a boost
