LaidbackinEngland · 12/03/2007 19:34

Booboo ... sorry you are feeling frustrated - but Jonny will be more than worth it - hopefully he will be a chilled baby ... he WILL be here soon !

sazzybee · 12/03/2007 19:36

Oh booboo - I'm so sorry
You poor love. I can only begin to imagine how frustrated you must be. I'll keep my fingers crossed that something happens asap xx

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 12/03/2007 19:44

Boo, if it helps at all to hear this my cervix was long and posterior when I was in active labour last time, honestly. Don't get hung up on all of this

divastrop · 12/03/2007 19:59

TheBlonde · 12/03/2007 20:02

Hi Diva, congrats!
Hope things get better for you soon

Piffle · 12/03/2007 20:06

dolly it's hard not to feel guilty about teh drink
I've been great this entire pregnancy but this last week have been sorely tempted to have a wee dram more than 1-2 x a week.

Boo - are they planning an induction soon hon?
I know how frustrated you must be, I was 14 days over with ds and it was interminable
FWIW he did not engage at all before labour and my cervix appeared non effaced the day before he came out.
WE were sure I was going to be induced
Then he literally bolted out the next day...
I am keeping fingers crossed for it all kicking off for you really soon

Diva, sorry things have been tough, hope you're ok Blossom, take it easy and I hope you're getting good support and love at home as well as some rest x x x

eidsvold · 12/03/2007 21:00

sorry to hear you are having a tough time of it Boo.

I know when I had dd2 - I was 10 days over when I had the elective c-section and she was not really engaged and nothing was happening.

I am getting fed up and I am nowhere near overdue - so really feel for those who are.

Thankfully it is a cooler day today. The heat of the last couple of days really took it out of me and I was grumpy and hot and tired.

Off for coffee this morning to catch up with a friend who I have not been able to catch up with for ages.

37 +4

foxcub · 12/03/2007 22:29

boobuddy - i'm so sorry - you'll have your baby soon..

LaidbackinEngland · 13/03/2007 03:51

I am wide awake and having a bowl of Shreddies. I rarely can't sleep ... but don't think I am in the giving birth zone either. Maybe just in need of food

eidsvold · 13/03/2007 05:03

oh Laid back - nothing like being awake for no good reason.

Just back from picking up dd1 from kindy only to discover she is covered in a rash on everywhere but her face!!! have managed to get a docs appt in a little while for them to take a look at it. Not sure what it looks like but it is all over her body. Definitely not a heat rash and not chickenpox, don't think it is measles, not mumps but not sure what the hell it is.

Mossie · 13/03/2007 07:12

Morning all,
Didn't get much sleep last night either and woke up about half six. But I've had a little microwave chocolate pudding that dh bought me from Tesco's Finest, for breakfast and it was lovely. And it's cold outside (that's good atm) and also really clear (even better) and it smells like spring today (best of all)!

Muppet ah well I suppose the heel prick test is for a good cause but I imagine it must be horrible seeing your freshly born baby in pain.

Magpie those exercises sound complicated, I'm having enough problems trying to remember the ol' pelvic floor!

Kitty glad your dp is being supportive. Hope your dc's are feeling better asap.

Sazzy I bet you can't wait until Wednesday now, it must be great to have a date when things are going to kick off!

Piffle I suppose at least BH's are some kind of sign? I think I've had about four in total this entire pregnancy! I've a feeling Bertie's going to arrive some time after his EDD!

Booboo it is lovely to hear from you again even though you are feeling down. You know in some countries they give your EDD at 41 weeks, so for example, in France, you'd only be two days overdue. I'm not helping really am I. I really hope something happens very soon so you don't have to be induced, and you get your home birth, but even if not, at least you will get little Jonny soon. And if you do come back on here... I sincerely doubt I'm going to be making a birth announcement any time soon!

Dolly I have drunk quite a bit of Bailey's Coffee over the last few days. It's too tasty, like a normal sweet hot drink, so I don't realise how much I've had! Yep, a few days off for me too I think.

Diva I'm sorry to hear things haven't been so good, I hope everything gets better for you soon. But big congratulations of course on little Elsie, and what a lovely name too.

Laidback hope you managed to get some sleep. Any news on your second house offer yet?

Eids glad it's a bit cooler for you, and hope your dd1's rash clears up!

Mossie · 13/03/2007 07:15

Forgot to add, 38 weeks today!
EDD 27/3
Boy - Bertie

Jaysecond · 13/03/2007 07:28

morning, wont bore you with the normal humdrum of no sleep and feeling like shit as i know that we are all in the same boat. Sorry to all those that feel crap, we have to remember that each day that comes HAS to mean we are another day closer to having our babies.

Hugs and positive vibes xx

40+4 (stubborn male)

rosylonginglily · 13/03/2007 07:49

Diva come back soon we miss you! Come and moan.
Still grumpy and impatient here, Last night I was getting loads of mini versions of labour pains and felt sure it was going to develop but I did desperately need some sleep.

My little ones are unsettled, sensing my mood I guess and are up at night much more than usual.

40+2

Piffle · 13/03/2007 08:15

snap Rosy
Grim night.
DD has been up a few times, she seems to be purging all the phlegm and has had a lot of coughing and needed cuddles

I too was thinking last night was an escalation, which it def was, just not quite enough
Every 15 mins when I lay down and PAIN. had to hop up and bounce.

I got to sleep sometime after 2.30 I guess exhaustion overrode the BH's
Then dd woke at 4, I had headache so took paracetamol, slept til 6.50am

Sat up = BH
Got up to wee = BH

Anyway I'm going out today to buy a couple of things for ME for after baby gets here some tops to make breastfeeding easier.

I've not been out much... Really need to get out and about, dp is positive I'm about to sprog, he says HE can recall how I was before I had dd.

I just want to hit him tbh...
False hopes and really what do men know...honestly

Piffle · 13/03/2007 08:17

oh I'm still only 38+4 far less deserving than most of you waiting and far more grumpy

I'm really jealous of you lucky lasses waiting for your first
tis very special this time leading up to the birth of your first one alll the unknowns and expectations
Are your families ringing all the time?

madhide · 13/03/2007 08:35

Hello everyone

I hope you wont be too offended me rejoining so late in the day! I was posting at the beginning of my pregnancy but have lapsed but have been popping on to see how everyone is doing.

Am feeling like I need a bit of support am due this Thursday 15th but am so fed up and so ready to pop. Having lots of BH's and lower back pain and go to bed every night thinking is it going to happen?

DD1 was day after due date so in theory I shouldn't have it yet and feel really bad feeling like this when there are some of you who are over your due dates and I haven't even got there yet!

Anyway sorry to come on and moan!

EDD 15/3 (suprise)

Mistiek · 13/03/2007 08:36

Morning all...
Sorry not going to to write to much today as I am so tired and just so frustrated again. I keep telling myself not to hope for much and just focus on the 22nd so that I dont get too upset but its not helping.

Woke up this morning feeling really crap, I keep dreaming of the birth but never seem to get to the point of where the baby comes out! I woke up with a soar throat and a stuffy nose and all I want to do is go back to bed, but with DS that is impossible (obviously) can barely lie on the couch for more than 5 min without having to get up to sort his moaning out.

Sorry to all of those who have had a bad night and to all of those who are now overdue and very frustrated I hope it happens soon for everyone and we have more babies to celebrate.

Magpie - thanks for sending me the oil, ill keep an eye on the post for it.

Booboo - sorry you are so down and overdue I hope it gets better for you soon.

Diva - sorry you arehaving a hrad time, hope it gets better soon. Congrats on your little bundle...

Hope you all have a good day everyone...

9 days to go... and counting

eidsvold · 13/03/2007 08:43

thankfully rash is nothing for me to worry about BUT she is contagious(not serious infection though) and so can go to therapy tomorrow and that is it. No swimming she loves it and no sn kindy at least on Thursday - again something she loves. I had Thursday put aside to do lots of running around and last minute things for the new baby.

Next week prior to c-section is very busy so thought I would get it all done this Thurs - ah well.

She has a viral infection and I have to keep her off kindy etc until the rash disappears. Today apparently she got lots of cuddles from other children at kindy and we even had a picture drawn by a boy especially for dd1. Dh said he needed to find his shotgun - he thought he might have boy worries - just did not think it would start in kindy.

Chocolatepenny · 13/03/2007 09:15

Morning all bump bearers
Dreadful nights aside I am feeling generally good as spring is in the air and clocks change soon so it will be getting lighter too. This seasonal change is sure to get those babies moving, its all to do with the moon, and earth gravity etc etc I think..
C Section dates are a blessing too. Even if I have don't have one and have to rely on the sodding moon cycles.

Piffle · 13/03/2007 09:25

Eids, I never knew about viral and post viral rashes until ds got one aged 11
Scared the life out of me when i first saw it.
Since then I'm used to rashes - dd has had measles even...
Hope your dd is perky and happy despite the rash.

Well it's a lovely day outside, I'm determined not to be grumpy ALL day...

TheBlonde · 13/03/2007 09:29

Madhide - welcome back

Eidsvold - Sorry to hear DD is gonna be stuck at home. Hope the rash clears up asap

40 wks today but happy for this LO to stay in for another week.
DH suggested some hot lovin' last night but then we both thought "nah might bring labour on" so we didn't bother

DS is still a nightmare at bedtime so I would like to get that sorted before no2 arrives.

morocco · 13/03/2007 09:45

v true about other countries and due dates, I had 2 for ds2 both based on scans and he arrived on the French date so while i've been telling everyone he was exactly on time, in fact he would have been a week late here.
relevant? yes cos today is my uk due date so I'm going to pretend I live in france now
you know how one sign of labour can be waking up feeling fluey - how about if you really do have flu?? feel utterly crap, full of cold, achey, sniffly, grumpy. how unfair is that?? luckily no high temp at least so if i do go into labour they won't be sticking me on drips yet
