DollyPopsOut · 10/03/2007 08:29

Doh! My mates were from work, not walk....

rosylonginglily · 10/03/2007 09:10

Brilliant Dolly, glad you flashed the cheeky man! Am jealous of your potential bargain hunt, I love getting a bargain or ten!
I really wonder how Diva is getting on...She hopefully has her baby by now.
I'm so tired today, had a useless sleep as I kept being woken by these silly contractions. It's so annoying because now I feel to tired to go into full labour and I'm hoping nothing happens until I've had a nap or two! And I'm not going anywhere near dh for any 'deeds' until I've had some sleep either!
Laidback how's it going with you???? I bet you will be ultra efficient and give birth in time for your/our due date!!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 10/03/2007 09:43

Rosy, glad your dh is home at last

I've texted Diva asking if she's ok and if there's any news but haven't heard anything back. Hope she's ok. She MUST have had the baby by now surely?

Mossie · 10/03/2007 09:49

Kitty ikwym about being more sensitive about stuff when you're pg; we got a film out the other night, just a thriller / horror about a biological terrorist attack, called "outside your door" and it was incredibly tense - after the first hour I had to leave the room, it was really stressing me out! I normally love horror films but I just couldn't!

Sazzy you poor thing it must be really frustrating for you especially as you had all those signs earlier in the week. Hopefully at least you can get some rest now after your trek. (Not Blackheath by any chance was it? It's the only heath I know in London lol!) Once again thanks for DT - doesn't he have a lovely bum?

Booboo's dh - thanks for coming on and letting us know how Booboo is. Would you also pass on my best wishes? So glad she doesn't have pre-eclampsia! I hope they let her out soon.

Mistiek glad you have someone to do your nesting for you, it's so much more easy to rest and relax when you're in nice tidy surroundings!

Dolly pmsl at you flashing that nosy bloke! How funny! Yes I moved my driving lesson now I'm off work; it's on Thursdays at ten o'clock.

Rosy glad your dh is back home. Hope you get a nice long sleep, too!

Well, dh did indeed have a huge drinking session with Mr Caveman last night, but nature's very own version of Karma has kicked in; he has an absolutely stinking hangover. I made him a sausage butty and sent him back to bed. I don't mind, because, when I said to him, "er, you promised this wouldn't be an all night drinking session," he said, "Well Moss it takes two people to lie; one to tell the lie, and the other to be lied too". Which is his unique way of apologising!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 10/03/2007 10:04

Just had a message from Diva!! She had her little girl Elsie last night. All is well. Haven't got any weight info.

sazzybee · 10/03/2007 10:09

Morning. Feeling a bit more cheery this am. My hips are feeling much better this morning and not being in agony really helps. I'm off to my mum and dad's for a few days on the basis that sod's law will mean I'm more likely to have things happen if I'm not in spitting distance of the hospital! Only about an hour's drive away though (and I'm not driving) so not too far in case things finally start happening.
Dolly - ROFL! Thanks for making me smile. How lovely to get some bargains and gifts too - result all round!
Mossy - glad you're enjoying DT
MistieK - I'm glad it's not just me - isn't it frustrating?! I'm not actually overdue - not due until Monday but when you've been told by every single doctor and midwife you've seen for the last 8 weeks that there is no way on earth that you're going to term, you tend to start to believe them. But kitty you're right - he'll come when he's ready. And actually I think I needed to get to that point yesterday to start to feel better. Had the best night's sleep I've had all week!
Will check in later to see if there's any news from diva and co.
Booboo or your hubby - hope you're feeling a wee bit better today. Sorry you're going through such an anxious time.
Right - Berkshire here I come!

Mossie · 10/03/2007 10:23

Ah Kitty that's brilliant news for Diva she must be relieved, hope she is home soon.

Sazzy I hope sod's law does the trick for you!

Right I am off to walk these dogs, have procrastinated for far too long!

morocco · 10/03/2007 10:35

oh well at least the rugby is on all day a distraction

rosy hope your have a good day with your dh,

sorry as want to write more but backache too painful to stay sat here

eidsvold · 10/03/2007 11:30

congrats to Diva and welcome Elsie.

Piffle · 10/03/2007 11:43

So pleased to hear Diva has her little girl!

To all of us with promising niggles.
Hang in and keep busy, I'm doing a bit of gardening with DP to get rid of the day.
BH's have def changed, they now start with low down ache before getting back twinges and then the hardening of the whole tummy.
But still v irregular so guess from the fel of baby he is being pushed into position to come out...
But God knows when LOL
When he's ready.
Was up with dd again last night, she wasn;t coughing but had a high temp and seemed a little ummm delusional. So gave her some ibuprofen at 4am and she galloped in full power at 6.06 AM How she did it I'll never know
I did manage to talk her back into bed
until 7, but she was like a whirlwind this morning very unlike her, she alsmost always climbs in for a cuddle/doze with us esp on weekends, but not today

So I marched out and crept into her bed and left DP to cope...

Guilty
Nope

LaidbackinEngland · 10/03/2007 11:44

Just popping in to check on you all.... really do feel for you all at the moment... just hang in there ladies... you'll soon have your little ones and be on cloud 9.

Have chatted a bit via text with Diva today. She's seems well and in feisty spirit!!! Baby is 7lb 2oz. Her mother is annoying her and she's insisted on staying in hospital another night as she wants some rest

rosylonginglily · 10/03/2007 18:31

Congratulations to Diva! Lovely name and look forward to hear all about it.

Now surely I should have mine around the same time as my birthday twin... if there is any truth in the stars (drums fingers impatiently)

Laidback lets hope we both pop on our due date!

TheBlonde · 10/03/2007 19:19

1973magpie · 10/03/2007 19:51

Congratulations Diva, and welcome to Elsie (lovely name btw)

Booboo - hope the bp comes down soon, and you start to feel better, fingers crossed for your homebirth

Mistiek - I have got your email and will post the oil on Monday.

Hi to everyone else, hang in there, not long to go now. I think that it was only when I gave up all hope of my baby ever coming out that she did

DollyPopsOut · 10/03/2007 19:57

What a top name - Well done Diva, and hope you are feeling OK .

Had a disastrous afternoon after a very successful morning chez bargain hunt. DD did a poo instead of sleeping soundly in her cot, then took all her clothes off and trod poo all over the cot. Having sorted her out, I went downstairs to do some jobs and had this urge to clean the kitchen. Scrubbed so hard I put my bump out . It really aches across the front now.

Then I saw DD had scratched one of my lovely new cupboards and burst into tears. DH said "oh, don't worry about it, she only a baby" which led to a torrent of abuse I didn't know I had in me. I was vile to him, and shouted so hard I thought I was going to wet myself! He took himself off to Tesco with DD in high dudgeon. All ok now, but I am a hormonal wreck. Too much to do, not enough time to do it and not enough space to put all my junk.

Plus I still haven't finished my marking. I'll be doing it in hospital at this rate. Better pull my finger out. New cleaner was supposed to call but hasn't, so house completely filthy to boot. Everything seems to be going a bit wrong che\z Dolly. Any advice from the wise ones????

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!

rosylonginglily · 10/03/2007 20:04

Dolly, my ds2 changed his own dirty nappy today and arrived in my room with poo on his feet....
No advice though, I'm as loopy as you at the moment Don't be too hard on yourself.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 10/03/2007 20:12

Oh Dolly, poor you I do so know how you're feeling about the cleaning. I sit on my arse because I cannot move and look around the kitchen and all I see is the dust and dirt. We're not talking normal dirt here. I'm talking cleaning out mouldings on the wooden cupboard doors with a toothbrush and paintbrush, obsessively getting into every little corner. This is so unlike me. I think what makes it worse for us is that we so want things to be clean and neat and tidy, all ready for the baby, but if we have younger kids they trash our houses AND we are too big now to chase round putting things right again.
So all that effort that we put in to ordering things is wasted and we can't do anything about it. Well, that's my feelings on things.

I know I certainly notice dirt and mess much more because I am sitting down whereas I'm normally dashing round and am too busy to notice/care.

I really hope you feel a bit better tomorrow. If it's any consolation, I regularly have to clear up trodden in poo.
It always happens that when dd3 (14 months) is given some nappy free time to air her bum, she'll poo and stamp it in everywhere!!

I've been dealing with varying degrees of sick kids all week , they seem to have some rotton cold type bug that just won't clear up. So I've had them off school, following me round the house needing attention. I've had an hour off a day from 9-10 pm when the boys go to bed and I go to bed, then at 6.30 it starts all over again ( normally one of the girls will wake at night). I can't even go for a wee wothout being followed in. It's driving me nuts. I'd kill to be able to drink lots of vino .
{{{hugs}}} to you.
