Good Morning Lovelies

Well done and congratulations to diva and her little angle!

Hope Booboo is doing well and will be out soon or have her lo soon.

Dolly poor you - hope you feel ok soon. Its the whole nesting thing - it must be a good sign then. Just dont be to hard on yourself and try and relax - I know thats hard!!!!

Kitty poor you too - I only have one to deal with, I think I would go mad if I had anymore to look after as I can barley look after myself at the moment.

Piffle - have those BH become regular yet? I am holding thumbs for you hon.

Hope Sazzy is doing well and enjoying her visit at her parents place...

Laidback - any news on the house yet?

Anyway cant sit here too long this morning. Need to get ready for church. Need to find something half decent that fits now and does not expose my monstrosity of a tummy.

My mom and sister came round yesterday to clean my place with me which was really nice of them, but my mom has now said that she will not be able to come round at all this week as she has been away for 5 weeks and has so much to sort out at home . was really looking forward to her comming back so that I would not get so lonley. So will have to find some way of keeping busy now and not getting too lonely. Cant go visit friends either as DH is now using the car everyday in case he needs to come home if anything happens so I cant go anywhere either (walking all over the place is not quite a good option on my own - I have SPD and can get stuck) Grrrr. Looks like it is going to be another really long week.... Have the consultant on Wednesday though - lets hope they dont make me sit there waiting for 3 hours to see someone again. Ridiculous really.

Ok so I am just moaning again - ill stop. Hope you all have a good day and can keep busy. Thinking of you all....

DollyPopsOut · 11/03/2007 09:30

Morning ladies

I feel better for some sleep. Kitty, if I think i have it bad with 1 child messing up the house, I shudder to think how you must be with your 5. I am not normally precious about things, but just can't get my head round it all at the moment. I have had loads of work done on the house so it's nice for when I am on leave, and also as I won't have a salary shortly so need to do it whilst I am still paid. It's taken ages to organise and I feel it's being undone a bit now. It's not anything which DD can trash, but I just feel I spend the whole day with a J cloth in my hand, hand in the dishwahser, folding up laundry etc etce etc.

I really feel for you with poorly kids. That;s the last thing you need at the moment. Hope they are on the mend now. Know what you mean about the loo too - I am there virtually constantly with DD saying "mummy wee wee" which, whilst charming, does grate after a while. Why can't I even do a wee on my own??????

Mistiek, I think you should spend the week on MN if you are confined to base! I am sorry about the SPD and indeed your long waits to see the consultant. I did 4 hours waiting last monday - not good. Which hosp are you - Royal Surrey? I can't remember where in the country everyone is now!!

Hello Rosy, thanks for the support .

Hope everyone else is doing well. Mossy, I have finally put those bras on one side for you and will try to post them this week. Sorry for the delay. Piffle - any news? I am wondering about Booboo as well. Do you think they have induced her, or perhaps she has gone into labour anyway. Poor thing, Kings is not the place to go for a spot of rest and relaxation!!

This time next week is Mothering Sunday. I wonder how many of us will be mothers / have increased our brood by then. I'll be having my CS a week tomorrow. Hope I'll have packed the bag by then!!

Am off now to see what DD is up to. Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the sunshine. Talk later. Love to all XXXX

TheBlonde · 11/03/2007 09:31

Mistiek - can't you ask any of your friends to come to you?

I'm being very lazy at the moment and don't leave the neighbourhood

DH has banned me from walking any further than the High St as it just kicks off BHs and then I complain!!

Right need to slap some make up on and go out for the papers and croissants. Woke up at 4.30am and couldn't get back to sleep so feel tired

rosylonginglily · 11/03/2007 09:43

Morning! It doesn't matter how much it would make sense to enjoy this last bit, I think we are all naturally so fed up that we will be glad for the pain of labour to start, it seems to be nature's way!

I still have no signs of anything happening at the moment....40 weeks today.

foxcub · 11/03/2007 10:38

Mistiek - oooh you reminded me, I haven't between to mass for 4 weeks now

Dolly is it really mothering sunday next week??? . Good excuse for some chocolate ,me thinks,

Oh dear - Monti woke me up about 10 times last night. He was so hungry and wouldn't sleep properly until I put him next to me in the bed at about 6.30am.

Also, when the codeine wears off I feel achey over my whole body, I think partly from the labour and partly from being exhausted.

But guess what: Monti went to bed last night with dark blue eyes and woke up with brown eyes!!!

kiwibella · 11/03/2007 10:39

congrats Diva... Elsie is such a sweet name - can't wait to hear the details and trust everything is ok for Diva.

Smiling at your posts about clean homes - I so want things to be done but am (slowly) learning to live with the mess. If only I could be happy with hubs efforts .

Everything is crossed for those who are waiting Thinking of you all!

morocco · 11/03/2007 10:44

yuck! all those problems with poo - sympathies to those of you having to clear it up today .

amazed by blue to brown eyes for baby Monti, i didn't know it happened so suddenly like that - cute!

today I'm feeling much better after awful yesterday when anyone with any sense kept well out of my way. dh seemed to think it was a good idea to make jokes about my big belly/bad mood etc but has backed off since I told him how close he was to getting a slap round the chops. yesterday i was pure evil.

today the kids are at a party and I'm all on my own, thank god, d'you know I'd really like to go into labour right now, with my house all empty and quiet and noone around to hassle me. antisocial, me???

kiwibella · 11/03/2007 10:44

poor you and all that time spent up in the night fox! Hope you are feeling ok today. I can't believe that the eye change is that obvious - that is really cool . Are your other kiddlywinks brown-eyed-babes too??

MissKate is also a very hungry baby and I feel like I am constantly feeding her. We began supplementing her with a bottle on Wednesday - although she only takes about an ounce after a feed, it still is heartbreaking that is what fills her up! But, it is much better that she is not constantly crying and, hopefully, she will begin to put on weight instead of losing it.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 11/03/2007 11:10

Morning all
I had my first "wake up at three and couldn't get back to sleep" night last night. I even stayed wide awake through the hypno cd . So now I'm pooped. Lovely sunny day again here. The bird scarers are going off here now a the rape seedlings are being devoured by birds. I find them sooooooo annoying, big booms every 20 mins. It's strange here being 10 mins drive out of brighton but surrounded by farmland.

I was a bit worried about baby last night as he hadn't moved for ages. I poked and prodded him and he did stir a bit. He's moving today, sort of rolling rather than jabs now, I guess there's hardly any room left.

I'm very of all you who have your lovely babies.
The kids who are not ill have asked if we can go out today. I said they couldn't 'cos daddy was ill and mummy couldn't move .

Right back to decorating easter eggs for the school comp next week.

XXXXXXXXX

muppethasakitten · 11/03/2007 11:42

Still popping in to keep tabs on you all. Poo situations are great aren't they? Luckily baby poo is so much more pleasant - even if they have just sneezed during a nappy change and sprayed your face and hair with it . Thankfully my other 2 are too old for poo problems!

Hope Boo gets her lo soon.

Foxy - love the sudden change to brown eyes.

Samuel had his heel prick test today - it was done by a stand-in mw who i'd never met before - she had Dennis Healy eyebrows and was really rough with him. I got all emotional cos his foot was bleeding lots. Then she told me my stomach muscles had split apart and if i didn'y do these special exercises i'd have all manner of problems!

All in all it's been a teary morning!

Love to you all and sending more birthy vibes to you all.

Jaysecond · 11/03/2007 11:44

hi ladies, sorry i havnt had chance to read the thread, hope everyone is ok, just to touch base and say still nothing for me, had lots of really tight BH na dquite severe period pains and cramps last night and woke with them, thought it was going to kick off but alas to no avail! - much the same really as everyone else!
to think , this could go on for the next two weeks.....

have a lovely day everyone xx

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 11/03/2007 12:10

Muppet she sounds like a right old battleaxe, you don't need that do you? . There's just no need.

morocco · 11/03/2007 12:24

muppet. poor baby.

anyone else starving hungry all of a sudden? I've been eating non stop cakes/bisuits/toast all week and can't wait for lunch

LaidbackinEngland · 11/03/2007 12:48

Hello my lovlies !

No baby yet for me today yet Rosy - have a feeling my due date will pass uneventfully. Never been overdue before but feeling quite relaxed about it. The baby will come when he is good and ready ! Absolutely beautiful sunny day here today

Any news from boo or sazzy .... and where is that Mossy ? Now she is not at work she is on the computer alot less !

I am off to PIL's house as DH wants to watch the rugby with his dad.

Hope everyone else enjoying the nice weather !

LaidbackinEngland · 11/03/2007 12:49

Morocco - I just made a carrot cake and had 2 very large slices

sazzybee · 11/03/2007 14:03

Hiya all
Just popping online quickly to see what's what. My hips are playing up so I can't even get out the house. Big BHs though this afternoon so I'm giving it another 1/2 hour or so and if they carry on being regular and strong (even though they're not particularly), I'm heading back home. I really don't want to get stuck in Sunday afternoon traffic with proper labour pains!
Hope those of you with kids are having a better day today. I have to say I don't know how you do being pregnant with loads of other people to look after - I'm massively impressed!

Mossie · 11/03/2007 17:21

Afternoon everyone,

Had a rubbish dog walk this morning; Merlin heard a huge bang on the way,not sure what, so I had to bring him back home as he was terrified, shaking (he hates loud noises, Nov 5 is a nightmare!), and then when I did get up to the waste ground, there were loads and loads of kids / teenages on quad bikes so I couldn't let Arthur off the lead as it wasn't safe. So instead of it being the usual nice relaxing walk, it turned into a bloody stress affair!

Then thisavvy we went for a Mothers' Day meal (for mil, so went with dh, mil and sil) at a local pub, which was really nice but after the stressy dog walk, and being out, I am now really, really knackered!

Dolly / Kitty - I notice dirt around the house a bit more, especially as Merlin is malting atm and I seem to follow him around the house with the rubber brush sweeping up after him! But I haven't really started nesting yet, I think dh would have the shock of his life!

Mistiek ikwym about finding something to cover your bump! Even some of my maternity tops no longer quite do the trick!

The Blonde hope you've managed to get a bit of sleep by now!

Foxy I have read about babies' eye colour changing actually, getting darker, because they get extra pigment (pigmant?) as they grow. Now you will have to post some photos so we can see him before and after!

Kitty given you stayed awake through your hypno CD did you finally work out what the hidden messages are?

Muppet sorry about your stomach does it hurt? Poor little Samuel, what is the heel prick test for, is it just to take some blood?

Laidback I'm here! Now I'm not at work I spend much more time sleeping!! But really, dh has to use up some holiday before 31st March, so has taken a few days off with me, I think he gets if I spend too much time at the computer!!!

Sazzy I hope your drive home is okay, it makes me nervous to think of you driving so heavily pg on your own, I hope you have a phone with you and everything!!

Right I am going to make an apple crumble now, I have a great cookbook (recommended by an MNer actually) with really simple recipes and as I love apple crumble I'm going to give it a go... if I'm not back here tomorrow morning you know the crumble didn't go so well!

Sorry to anyone I've missed, I hope you're all okay. Hoping to hear from Booboo and Diva soon as well!

Mossie · 11/03/2007 17:22

I meant teenagers.

Mistiek · 11/03/2007 17:30

Hello All,

Well having a very bizzar day today. Its been really busy, and overall good day but my DS has been ever so clingy to me - very strange. He has never been the clingy type but today during Praise and worship in Church he would not stand on the chair and clap and dance with us he just wanted to be in my arms... and then when I took him to childrens church he did not want to be left there and in the end they had to pull him off of my crying! So unlike him - usually he dashes for the door and can't wait to play. When I did go and collect him he did not want anyone but me not even his nana... hmmmmm.

Then I have just gotten off the phone with my Stepmom and she has said she has been a bit worried about me since yesterday and has had a strange feeling that somthing was up. Baby has NOT STOPPED moving all day and I feel like I am about to get my periods - not like the BH / twinges I have been getting all week but alot more like my periods...

Anyone have anythign like this happen to them before. Does everyone including my DS know something that I dont know - or is it wishfull thinking.... hehe. Would be great if this leads to somtehing.

TheBlond: its quite Sad I have been here for 5 years now and have only managed to make 1 friend. She does not drive and has 24 months old and a 5 month old so she does not feel confident enought to catch the bus to mine...

Dolly: MN is my lifeline at the moment - dont know what I would do with out it as I would probably go insane! 4 hours to see a consultant thats disgusting! We will see how long I have to wait on Wednesday. My hospital is St Richards, In Chichester on the south coast. The one we are still trying to fight not to get closed!!!

Morroco: I am on a "see food diet" at the mo. I see fodd and I eat it!

Anyway before I rammble on to much again - you must all be sick of my long messages... I am off to have some more RLT and a warm bath.

rosylonginglily · 11/03/2007 17:31

Morocco, I am constantly hungry too, No sooner have I eaten and my tummy is rumbling again!
I bought some clarysage today and when I sniffed it I realised that is what the aromatherapist used for my massage on thursday. Maybe that explains all those contractions on Friday!
I feel all nervous and restless and wish I could chill out. Keep thinking if I get some decent sleep I can go into labour but I'm too hyper to sleep. So then I think stuff it, I'm never going to sleep so come on baby hurry up.
Laidback your attitude is great. I need to calm down too! somehow...

Mossie · 11/03/2007 17:34

Mistiek is it the area you live, are people not so friendly? Have you looked on here for a meet-up thread? When I have had Bertie and he is old enough for me to go out I fully intend to go on a Liverpool meet-up. I know Foxy has been on one or two on her local thread.

Rosy ikwym about being constantly hungry. Then again... those ketones... you have to eat more remember!!

rosylonginglily · 11/03/2007 17:49

Yeah Mossy, I need to keep my strength up
You know earlier on I got that old familiar feeling in my boobs of 'letting down' bit weird...like my milk is coming in even before the birth now that is keen

Mossie · 11/03/2007 17:53

Rosy I had heard that your boobs can leak a little bit even before you give birth? Mine are showing no signs of doing so.

In fact I've been mildy disappointed that I've gone up only one cup size. I was expecting to do a Jordan! They were big to start though so I'm probably just being greedy!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 11/03/2007 17:56

I'm always hungry too, but I'm also really fed up with being so fat

Mossy, sorry your walk was spoilt but at least you had a good lunch.

Mistiek, I'm in Brighton so not that far from you

Sazzy, let's hope this comes to something, keep us posted

I'm still hardly having any BH's which is very unusual and somewhat worrying as if could mean that baby is NOWHERE NEAR ready

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 11/03/2007 17:59

Mossy, when I was preg with no 1 I was still teaching and I remember sitting in a staff meeting and someone pointing out to me that I had a wet patch on the front of my dress. I was SO embarrased I wasn't even 7 months preg and was leaking!!! . It has never happened in any other preg, strange
