Good luck with your scan sherbert!

DD is fine now thanks, I'm sceptical if it was even slapped cheek to be honest but I guess we'll never know!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 13/03/2017 22:38

Evening all.
I've also got my 12 week scan tomorrow sherbert - I'm so excited and anxious!! My scan is first thing in the morning. DH has the whole day off but I have to work in the evening so we're going to tell DD when we're back from the hospital and then maybe go out to lunch for a treat/to celebrate

Travelgeek · 14/03/2017 07:09

Good luck with the scans today ladies. Glad everyone is starting to feeel better.

Not much to report here, which is probably a good thing at 14+4.

Thinking of buying anothe couple of bits of maternity clothes. This time for work. But wondering if I can hold out for warmer weather and get a couple of summer skirts that will do for work and home.

Fluffywallow · 14/03/2017 07:29

Good luck for all scans today.

I need some more mat stuff too travel but might hold out for warmer weather/when I'm bigger. The only desperate thing I need is more bras - measured my boobs the other day and they're 38dd Blush!! The biggest they've ever been by far and they are annoying me....I only have tatty old nursing bras so need something a bit more sturdy Grin

14+4

StarWish1 · 14/03/2017 07:48

Good luck with all the scans today Smile

I'm looking forward to hearing all your news and seeing the scan pics

puttingourhoodupdown · 14/03/2017 07:56

Enjoy your scans today ladies!

MrsY87 · 14/03/2017 09:11

14+4 here too but still suffering from nausea, in fact some days it seems to be getting worse rather than better! Hmm

My normal clothes for work are starting to feel quite tight but maternity clothes swamp me still, think I may have to buy a few normal bits in a size up until I've got a proper bump!

Good luck to those with scans today! Smile

StarWish1 · 14/03/2017 09:52

MrsY I'm in the same position. Still too small for maternity but at 16 weeks most my normal clothes are too tight. I've got a few loose dresses to wear with tights and long tops over leggings I can get away with but with the weather getting warmer it's going to get more difficult.

Fluffywallow · 14/03/2017 10:38

I wish I was too small for my maternity clothes Grin! Although it's so much easier this time as I have all my stuff from before so easy as I have it to hand. People keep doing that double look sideways glance at my bump....they're clearly wondering if I got fat or pregnant Grin

Heyitsholly · 14/03/2017 10:38

Ive got to wait till 1.40 for my scan. Unreasonably nervous somethkng will be wrong. Struggling to focus on work!

oliversmummy26 · 14/03/2017 10:47

Seems like there are lots of scans today, good luck everyone and looking forward to some lovely pics this afternoon..

I'm in maternity stuff. Over bump jeans are my biggest saviour at the moment, I can't bear anything too tight on my tummy it just makes me feel sick! I've also got lots of maternity vests from H&M which are longer than normal tops, so cover the bump band and don't have the rouching on the side seems so fit like a dream and are great with cardigans and scarves..

Nausea seems to have gone and I had more energy last night, took me ages to get to sleep though which was most annoying!

14+2

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 14/03/2017 11:18

Had scan this morning. All looking good. Baby wouldn't stop moving and kept rolling over / turning upside down while they were trying to take measurements - just like DD.
They measured me at 12+6 instead today so that moves my due date up 3 days to 20th September.

Great news coldfeet. Mine is at 3.50. I'm not nervous just in a really bad mood. I can't help thinking that if it's not ok then I've spent all these weeks feeling awful for nothing - I know that's a really selfish way to think about it.

flymo79 · 14/03/2017 13:06

Lules it's totally normal and ok to feel like that. It's self preservation I think. Good luck

WhatwouldRuthdo · 14/03/2017 13:26

Wow so many scans today. Good luck everyone. I had my 16 week appointment and got to hear heartbeat which was nice. I'm almost exclusively in maternity stuff too oliversmummy and the first person asked when baby was due yesterday so I officially have a bump!

Travelgeek · 14/03/2017 15:27

Great scan coldfeet, fingers crossed for those still waiting for theirs today.

I am in about 4 comfy outfits on rotation, part mat stuff and part things I already had that are stretchy/loose/long enough. I am definitely in between. I think people look at me and can't decide if its a baby or too much cake!

I am starting to get worried that it's been weeks since my scan and still ages till my 20 week one. And now my nausea and vomiting seem to have finally stopped I've nothing to reassure myself that its all still happening in there as it should.

Good to hear that the MW heard a heartbeat for you ruth, I'm sure someone mentioned they don't always listen for one earlier on in case they just can't find it and cause panic. I will ask her - my 16 week apt is a week on Thursday.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 14/03/2017 15:46

The time between 12 week scan and 20 week scan does feel like another type of limbo Travelgeek. I can see a bump but can't really feel baby moving yet and feel fine so it doesn't seem very real somehow. I wasn't sure the MW would try for a heartbeat either. She did say that it could be hard to find at this stage, but it was very reassuring to hear.

calimommy · 14/03/2017 16:32

I'm so pleased when I meet other moms who are already in mat gear too. Especially if they are due later than me 😝 I dont feel so bad. I met two moms at a play group the other day and they were both 2 weeks behind me and on their second babies, (I'm on 3rd) and I was hugely relieved to see them in mat tops and stretchy pants. Although we have security cameras in the house which are activated by motion at night time and every time I see myself on them I think "who's the fecking salad dodger? Jesus..." roll on a proper bump so I can stop feeling and looking like a blimp 😞

oliversmummy26 · 14/03/2017 16:43

Travel it's two months between 12 week and 20 week scans (give or take) and what gets me is that once you get to the 20 weeks, you're still only half way!! I have a gender scan booked for 16 weeks, precisely so that the long wait is broken up a bit.

Have you considered getting a doppler? I got one last week and have managed to pick up the heartbeat (I have to be very strict with myself though, and not let myself panic if I can't find it as it is still very early) I still think I'm getting some little tiny movements, though I could also be imagining it I suppose!

I think 16 weeks is when the MW will generally start checking for a heartbeat, so can't be too difficult to find. Mine at 12 weeks with DS tried and couldn't find it, but only because she knew I had my scan that afternoon so wouldn't have to worry for too long!

flymo79 · 14/03/2017 16:43

Cali there are two very skinny mummies here both due in September, I look like I'm seriously two months ahead of them!! It's mortifying! Have avoided at every chance

oliversmummy26 · 14/03/2017 16:50

Cali My ex's new wife is 5 weeks ahead of me with her first and is super skinny...I hate meeting them at hand overs with DS as I feel so enormous!

StarWish1 · 14/03/2017 17:24

Travelgeek I had my 16 week mw appointment yesterday and I don't think she was planning on checking for heartbeat until I said I was anxious and she then offered. Hearing it was lovely. She also said that I could always contact her between appointments if I was anxious and arrange a time to come in to hear the heartbeat which I thought was very nice of her.

Lules · 14/03/2017 18:05

Had my scan. All was fine which is great. Such a relief! Date moved forward by 4 days. I look massive but I showed really early with my first too.

turtletum · 14/03/2017 18:23

Lovely to hear all the scan and dappled news. I'm getting more excited for my scan on Thursday now. I don't have a bump yet, but it's my first so that's to be expected. My waistband is feeling tight so mostly living in loose dresses and leggings. It's my giant boobs that give me away...I've gone up three cup sizes and they don't appear to be stopping growing!!

turtletum · 14/03/2017 18:23

Doppler.. not dappled
