Welcome to the newcomers Flowers

Checking in - 11+1 today. Another scan done and dusted. 12 week scan next Wednesday!

OkyDoke · 09/02/2017 16:13

Heyitsholly · 09/02/2017 16:32

My sickness has become all day which is making it really hard on my home visits
I could not get tomato soup out of my mind witha crusty roll. Went and bought it. Heated it up. Two mouthfuls i just ate all the bread 🙈 My husband is such a smelly cook i can smell it from upstairs and there is no chance im eating it.

Eurgh and to think i was feeling bad for not having symptoms before this week 🙈 God help me
Due 24th

Marking my place - 10 weeks today. Still no big symptoms except bigger boobs and being tired.

HellsBellsK · 09/02/2017 17:03

Just sent you a message holly thanks x

RachaelCatWhisperer · 09/02/2017 17:07

So glad to have some other people to chat with. How is it going for you?

I haven't been sick at all actually, but I have had a metallic taste in my mouth for weeks, curable only with lemon ice lollies. Aside from that I can't stop eating, not junk just normal food but too much! Although now I'm 11 weeks that is starting to ease off a bit, and it's fruit I'm after more than anything so that's not bad.

Just so flipping bloated! Anyone else feeling like a floatation device??

Allegedly due 31st August but I think it's about a week to ten days later than that. Scan next Friday so we'll see.

Dixiechick1991 · 09/02/2017 17:17

Hello just place marking
10 weeks today & gone back to feeling ravenous every minute of the day!

puttingourhoodupdown · 09/02/2017 18:47

8 weeks today, managed a cat nap today whilst DD watched Alice in wonderland. Early scan tomorrow morning then might think about telling our parents. Fx for wriggly healthy bean!

roobois · 09/02/2017 19:24

Anyone know how I move the thread? Didn't realise I'd put it in the wrong section. Baby brain!

Catwhisperer we have the same due date!

ringroads · 09/02/2017 20:18

Im still here and checking in.
11 weeks

RachaelCatWhisperer · 09/02/2017 20:19

So we're side by side Roobois, nice to know! Although I don't think that is my due date because I did an ovulation test and got a positive about 10 days after the date they're working on. Next Friday will tell...

Kskifred · 09/02/2017 20:39

anyone else feel like the past few weeks have dragged so badly?! I feel like time has stopped and feeling crap constantly doesn't help.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 09/02/2017 20:54

Yes it's dragging here fred I've known a month and I've got another to go until my scan. I just want everything to be ok!

lilyborderterrier · 09/02/2017 21:07

Yes time is frozen, we've know since Christmas Day ( about 4 weeks) so it's been ages, and I've still got 2 weeks till my scan. I'm praying everything is ok. I'm 38.5 and it's my 2nd, 10+6weeks.
I have a huge bump, very powerful sense of smell, awful dry skin and spots. Bigger boobs by the end of the day. But that's about it. Thankfully my nausea only lasted a few weeks. I just want to see a healthy baby and be able to tell people. Maybe be I don't feel pregnant as I'm running around after a nearly 4 year old.

kep1979 · 09/02/2017 21:42

Just checking in!

Had a better day in the sick front - only twice this morning and once during the day. Sticking to beige carbs. Anyone else constantly thirsty/dry mouthed?

sherbertlemon17 · 09/02/2017 21:49

Evening everyone, just checking in Smile Thanks for the new thread Roobois

7+5 so still a life time to go until my 12 week scan. Can't wait for everyone's scan pics to start being posted though!

Amz26 · 09/02/2017 21:58

Sorry to hear you're still not feeling great kep I'm counting myself lucky that I only have nausea.. which is getting much better to be honest 😊

I'm really bloated too and my boobs are massive! Well for me I would say massive

Kskifred yes every minute of every day is dragging 😩 Just want to get to 12 weeks now! Defo looking forward to some lovely scan photos :) should we all put our scan date on the spreadsheet? X

turtletum · 09/02/2017 22:38

Place marking on new thread. I feel like time is dragging too. Next week things will finally start to feel real, got booking in appointment on Tuesday then private early scan on Thursday. After being worried at the end of last week about a dip in symptoms, I've had nausea all week. Nothing too bad, generally only if I don't eat for a few hours. Bought some sports and maternity bras, so much better! I'm 7+5.

turtletum · 09/02/2017 22:40

Oh and kep I'm the same with thirst. I wake with the most disgusting dry mouth, been trying to drink more but blocked nose not helping things.

flymo79 · 10/02/2017 06:19

Lily, I'm 38 too and being a mum of 2.5yr old dd makes me feel ancient! I can't imagine how I'll have the energy for two...
Saw the doc today and had a scan, put me at 9wks on the dot. Thought I might be farther on than that by lmp but I do ovulate late... Anyway it was great to see heartbeat and all ok with baby , but the bleed is back and really close to the sac so the doc has put me on more progesterone, which makes me feel vile... Just when I was hoping the placenta would start picking up some of the work!!!
Time dragging, mostly because not telling anyone yet so the only person this feels real to is me...

calimommy · 10/02/2017 06:43

I had an interesting experience earlier: a friend was over and we would normally have a few glasses of wine (we were doing the children's dinner together) and she asked if I was doing a dry February now, which I assumed meant she knew, I'm not very interested in spinning tales so I just told her but said it was early still, and she said something about 'oh you we're talking about another before weren't you' and then changed the subject 😬 then about an hour later she said something like, 'so how long are we talking about?' and I said '10weeks' and she said 'oh very early so' (which it IS but it feels like forever at the moment) and then moved back to another topic. I wasn't under the impression she ever wanted another child so I doubt it's jealousy or anything. And I'm hardly a huge 'drinking partner in crime' of hers so it couldn't be that. I don't know what to make of it really. I'm not self centred enough to expect people to make any sort of fuss but I would have at least expected a 'how are you feeling?' That's fairly standard in my experience. It's all a bit strange really. Any thoughts?

Fluffywallow · 10/02/2017 06:57

Cali I don't know but you are not alone, I've had a number of people (including my mil) practically ignore the news. Do you think it's just because people don't know what to say if you tell them 'early'? That's the only thing I could put it down to. It's really wound me up/upset me with a few people as I'm so desperate to talk about it and actually find it quite lonely so people's disinterest really hurts!

Thank god for this thread hey!! Smile
