Evening all, had my scan this morning and they've moved me forward by 5 days...11+3 today and now due 18 September. Little baby looked perfect, so happy! Halo

Amz26 · 02/03/2017 22:47

Thanks gingerand calimommy

Im not to sure about them testing my OH but I did read online that might be a possibility.. I guess I'm going to have to wait to see what the consultant says at the appointment xx

Dixiechick1991 · 03/03/2017 06:56

Everyone has such lovely bumps! I'm joining on feeling a fraud too - people keep going oh look at your bump and my reply is itsndefinitly just fat!!
This is at 6:30 pre breakfast and it just expands during the day!

Ladies you all have gorgeous bumps! Mine is very similar, haven't got a photo since 10 weeks, but will get one this weekend. As I'm telling people now, I've given up on hiding it, but am tempted to tell anyone who asks that I'm due in August rather than early September! I keep telling myself it's 2nd baby and that's why...as well as the extra 2 stone and biscuits/flapjacks/crisps etc.!

Starting to feel lots better now which is good, I still feel nauseous if I don't eat at regular times, but at least it's not constant like it was. I'm starting to get terrible backache already though which is a pain (in more ways than one!) other than that and falling asleep on the sofa at 9pm, no other symptoms to speak of...and actually I feel good about that rather than panicked like I thought I would Smile

Looking forward to telling my parents tomorrow will be face to face rather than over the phone like with my ds, so excited to see their reactions, mum will no doubt get her knitting out immediately! Grin

oliversmummy26 · 03/03/2017 10:36

Oh and told DS last night, he's 4.5 and is so excited, he was kissing and hugging my tummy for most of last night, and kept asking me what the baby was doing, and if it will be eating my work lunch today...I said yes, kind of...and he goes "oh that's good, it will be nice and healthy" He's so gorgeous, he breaks my heart sometimes, he'll be the best big brother!...except if it's a girl he wants to call her "Diamond" ?! Confused

Fluffywallow · 03/03/2017 10:57

Olivers that's so adorable of your Ds Smile, they melt your heart don't they. Our DD (2yrs) knows (I was going to keep it quiet a while longer but people keep talking to her about it!) and she keeps kissing my tummy too and saying 'hi baby', it's too cute. She also keeps looking down my top to see if she can see it Grin

I'm tempted to say late august due date too if anyone asks - I'm due 8th sept but for some reason September seems a lot further away than august! When are you due?

13 weeks today. Hoping the weeks will start going slightly quicker now! (but not too quick Confused)

n0ne · 03/03/2017 11:44

Got partial blood results back - very good! 1/1400 for Downs, 1/5000 for the two trisomy thingies. Phew!! Was worried being that bit older. Now we can actually tell people - it's been a nightmare hiding it at this late stage.

Good luck those who are still waiting on results x

oliversmummy26 · 03/03/2017 12:53

fluffy they're adorable aren't they Smile I was getting my PJs on last night and DS says, oh yay, now I can see your tummy property and puts his ear against it and says he heard it talking! Smile

I'm due 10th September, so around the same as you, and definitely August seems a lot closer. I know first time mums who are ahead of me and way smaller, I find it quite embarassing. So not even going to prefix it with a "late" August. Just "August!"

Great news n0ne Grin

Pinkbottletop · 03/03/2017 15:46

Congrats n0ne!

I'm in the same boat as all you with the bumps! But as this is my first I really didn't expect to balloon out as much as I have. Although having an anteverted uterus is probably partly to blame. I don't think I've been eating much more. I did lose a baby 2 years ago at 9 weeks...

Scan on Monday - so excited!

hoodupdown we have the same due date! Although mine could move on Monday but I don't think it will.

ClaireAnneBumbleBee · 03/03/2017 17:25

Hello, just had my 12 weeks scan this morning, all healthy. We are actually 12 weeks and 5 days. Due on 10:09:17 Smile

puttingourhoodupdown · 03/03/2017 17:31

Just braved it and joined the Facebook group Smile

puttingourhoodupdown · 03/03/2017 17:33

We told DD last night....she thought the scan was a picture of a cat and then cried because she didn't like the baby. She then thought about it and decided a new friend would be nice. The conversation ended with her requesting to wear her buzz lightyear pjs to bed....she hasn't mentioned it since!!

Travelgeek · 03/03/2017 17:58

Don't worry ladies, its my first and my bump is definitely large and obvious! My H&M order arrived yesterday and the mat jeans are definitely a winner.

Once the rest of my team know after we all get together next week then it'll be pretty widely out there so I don't mind. Doesn't say much for my stomach muscles though, does it!

Loving the stories of little ones thinking about their new siblings, or not! So sweet.

calimommy · 03/03/2017 18:49

Everyone's body is different pink x roll with it 😂 the only thing I genuinely balk at is when someone says they feel kicks at 10 weeks. I'm like, seriously.

flymo79 · 03/03/2017 22:44

Just catching up, glad about scans and blood results looking good, great news ladies! I called the hospital for mine yesterday and they said they were fine but wouldn't read them out so I have to go get them in person. Grrrrr. I'd better get used to the constant trips down there!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 03/03/2017 23:43

Loving all the scan and blood test results coming in on here. 11 days till my scan!!

Has anybody had any pelvic pain? Was walking up a hill an hour ago, trying to keep up with DH (who wasn't going fast....just not at the snails pace I would have preferred!!) and my pelvis was quite painfull as I walked. Now I'm sat on the sofa and there is a dull ache. Don't know if it's because I've been sat in a cramped theatre seat for 3 hrs? Hmm

WhatwouldRuthdo · 04/03/2017 06:48

I have pelvic pain ColdFeet, at the front and in my coccyx area too. Hurts to get up from sitting, to roll over in bed and to get dressed-socks on etc. Going to speak to the midwife about it at my 16 week appointment (about 10 days away) for suggestions as pretty concerned I'm heading for SPD, and it's so early. Hope yours is just a one-off niggle.

sherbertlemon17 · 04/03/2017 07:22

Morning lovelies! Been catching up on the tread this morning and I'm loving all the brilliant scans and blood results.

11 weeks today so only 9 days until our scan!!! I've been really worrying about it, but this week I've tried to snap out of it and try to enjoy this pregnancy as much as I can. Helps that I'm starting to feel a bit more energetic now and have a few different pregnancy symptoms popping up that don't involve feeling sick.

Anyone else having any cravings? I'm OBSESSED with raspberries at the moment 💗

Fluffywallow · 04/03/2017 07:25

Me too cold feet - but so far only if I walk a lot or if I turn a certain way in bed. I did read that everything is looser so more prone to aches and pains so hopefully it's just that and not the start of spd.

Have had an emotional few days, with odd reactions from a few people on the pregnancy and continued sickness. I'm on a complete emotional rollercoaster at the moment - now I'm officially in the second trimester I'm hoping it'll all settle a little soon. Got a mini break away in a few weeks which I think is much needed.

Have a good weekend everyone xx

puttingourhoodupdown · 04/03/2017 08:42

Sorry to hear about odd reactions fluffy, people can be so odd.

We've told friends and family now so it's nice to have it out there and our friends are chuffed for us which is always lovely. 11+5 here although 12 week scan was in Thursday. I've booked a gender scan for 7 April when ill be 16+4. We didn't find out the sex with DD so I'm super excited this time plus DH is refusing to discuss names until we know the sex and I love playing the name game!

Anyone got their names sorted??! We still didn't have a boys name with DD so was just as well she was a girl....we called her Poppy.

Have a lovely weekend.

ADuckNamedSplash · 04/03/2017 09:01

Hi all - 14+3 today. I feel like I have more energy but unfortunately I'm still waiting to see the back of nausea and sickness!

I got my screening results yesterday. The good news is that the risks for Downs, Edwards and Patau are low. The bad news is that my PAPP-A level is also very low. That makes me higher risk for pre-eclampsia, pre-term labour and low birth weight - as well as slightly increasing the odds of miscarriage or stillbirth. Not much they can do other than keep an eye on me - extra growth scans, etc. Trying to stay to positive - I've found stories online of other people who were told this and went on to have normal pregnancies, and taking comfort from the fact that all signs so far point to normal growth for me (measuring ahead of LMP date at 12 week scan, started showing about a week ago, etc).

ADuckNamedSplash · 04/03/2017 09:09

Interestingly, low PAPP-A levels are apparently far more common with boys than girls, so this may be an early indicator of the sex...!

EssentialHummus · 04/03/2017 09:15

putting we kind of have names sorted, but last year DH's brother had a DD and used "our" name. We go from wanting to use it anyway to worrying about how odd it would look, then remembering that we see them about every three years. So, in short, not sorted! I might post on Baby Names for alternatives.

kep1979 · 04/03/2017 10:04

Had my Harmony test results, all low risk so very relieved. And we also found out that baby is a boy Smile Was not at all bothered either way, but now I'm really excited!

Having some twinges around my coccyx and getting uncomfortable sitting for long periods - which doesn't bode well as I had really bad SPD last time.

The sickness seems to be subsiding, still really nauseous but not thrown up for three days!

StarWish1 · 04/03/2017 10:25

Hi all,

14 + 4 today and 9 days until my 16 week midwife appointment. Still feeling like a bundle of nerves and anxiety and work stress is high at the moment which doesn't help. Symptoms really reduced today - not even feeling that bloated so I'm feeling very 'normal' and not much of a bump at all. Still in my jeans (but they are a lovely stretch material). Makes me worry that things aren't ok with the baby when I see all your bump pics and hear about your symptoms. I know a lot of you are having your second - when did you start showing with your first??
On another note - we've booked in for a private gender scan in 2 weeks so we can start playing the name game too! Smile x
