London I had a bit of bleeding on Thursday night, which I suspect is because of a urine infection. Doctors told me to go to EPU anyway and get it checked out and everything perfect.

One week to go until my 12 week scan!

Not feeling so great lately. Also on the lonely front. My OH has a child from a previous relationship and he's taking this time to spend as much time as possible with him before the baby comes and then he's no longer an only child, but it's leaving me feeling a bit abandoned and like I'm doing this alone. Don't really feel like he's going to be much help during this pregnancy and we've been bickering quite a lot. Though I'm so in love with this baby already I do keep having these 'what have you done' thoughts. Especially while seeing all my friends out at the weekend and I'm just home alone...

Londonexhile · 27/02/2017 12:22

Hummus & Ksk exciting & very cute!

So my EPU couldn't fit me in until Wednesday morning - I'd explode if I waited until then & I'm supposed to be away on a work trip right now.

DH & I called every ultrasound place we could find in Kent & ended up at KIMS hospital in Maidstone who were amazing - baby all fine, as you said Cali suspected cervix bleed from friction! Scan also included a few super freaky looking 4D images!

london phew, glad all fine. Can't get my head around 4D Confused.

londonfeather · 27/02/2017 12:58

Just had my 12 week scan too! Baby looks good - measurements look good, just need to hear back on the blood test for the syndromes tests. Took my due date back one day but that was it! Shout out to anyone on the board having their ultrasound at C&W hospital this morning - probs sat opposite each other in the waiting room! Ha

Fluffywallow · 27/02/2017 13:10

Aw lots of lovely scans! Congrats everyone Smile

I'm still feeling sick and have tonnes of food aversions but it's more manageable now than it was so slowly getting better.

Have told everyone now so bump can hang free, phew. Determined now to enjoy this a bit more.

Also decided that due to my first birth with my DD I am going to request an Elcs this time, I don't expect I'll have to push too hard (lots of valid reasons) but I have my first consultant appt at the end of march so will find out more then.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

flymo79 · 27/02/2017 13:15

Great scans! Lovely to see them rolling in.
Pink, it can be a really lonely time, add to that the hormones and you're an emotional time bomb. I can relate. But I told my dh that we need to stick together as otherwise it'll be hardest on me (I'm the one who's at the mercy of my hormones) and he seems to have grasped that it's somewhat out of my control!

flymo79 · 27/02/2017 13:16

Fluffy, do you mind if I pm you and ask more? I'm worried about delivery after how things went with dd and wonder if we're in the same boat...?

Fluffywallow · 27/02/2017 13:25

Of course fly go for it!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 27/02/2017 13:36

Pinkbottletop you're not alone. My DH is not being particularly interested (first child for us both) and very busy with work, he's also been away this weekend. I'm sure it's because he has no idea how draining it is, and how lonely you can feel sometimes. My friends all went out for cocktails in town on Saturday evening and I just felt very sad I was spending Saturday night with my (amazing) dog for company.

I really want this baby, but my whole world has changed priorities and direction overnight, and everyone else is still out there enjoying life whilst I'm dry heaving at the Sushi in Meadowhall with burger nipples and a light sweat sheen.

MrsY87 · 27/02/2017 13:49

Congrats on all the lovely scans ladies!!

My nausea is getting worse rather than better and starting to get me down a bit, People have been asking me if I'm ok today at work as apparently I look like I'm about to throw up, so hiding it is obviously going well! 🙄 I called the GP and she has said she will do me a prescription for something to see if that will help even though it is just nausea rather than sickness too, so fingers crossed it does something. My lovely mum has gone to get it for me whilst I'm at work bless her!

oliversmummy26 · 27/02/2017 14:52

London I have had post coital bleeding quite a bit this pregnancy, usually 12-24 hours after rather than immediate. Last time (at 11 weeks) was a lot, I could feel it coming like a period catching you unawares. But all has been fine. I think just take it really easy and go gentle, it's probably a sensitive cervix and very unlikely to harm baby.

Had my 12 week scan today, due date changed by one day from 9th to 10th September. NT measurement was 1.5mm which I'm happy with, though we're going to wait for the full results of the screening before telling anyone. We've decided against a big announcement too, we're still a bit wary, much more relaxed and excited now than we have been, but don't want to make a big deal. So just going to tell people as and when we see them. We won't be hiding it - I'm my sisters bridesmaid in August, so won't be able to hide it then, that's for sure! Grin

Ginger I've tried the nub theory and have convinced myself it's a girl Smile but probably totally wrong or it will be a fluke!

Congrats on all the scans!

Thanks frilly and fly - while feeling so lonely it's good to know I'm not alone. OH has depression and I have to be very aware of his mood swings and disinterest in general life activities, but while I'm going through all of my hormonal changes, if I blow up at something he doesn't think is a big deal then suddenly I'm a wreck. Its becoming so hard to remember why we both wanted this baby in the first place. Usually I would go out for drinks with the girls, but I can't do that. Meanwhile he's free to do what he wants. Just feeling particularly miserable today.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 27/02/2017 16:10

Oh pink I really feel for you because I'm in the same miserable place today.

This baby was SO wanted, in truth more by my DH than me (he's slightly older, I'm very career driven and mat leave will skittle me a good five years in terms of promotion) but this past week he just hasn't been interested. He went off to the rugby this weekend (I love rugby) and stayed at friends on a boozy weekend (I love boozy weekends). A couple of my girly mates know and they're really excited, but still out drinking and having fun and I'm tidying up and drinking fizzy water.

I know he will snap out of it and I'm hoping for a change of attitude at the 12 week scan, I hope yours is the same. No one warns you how lonely the first tri is!!

Travelgeek · 27/02/2017 16:13

My it's been a busy morning for many of us. Another 12 week scan here. Very happy everything looked good. He/she was the wrong way up at first. On their tummy. But a bit of laughing soon had it doing a somersault to the right way round for the measurements. Moved my date forward a day so now edd 8 Sept!

WhatwouldRuthdo · 27/02/2017 17:51

Wow, it has been a busy few days. Congratulations on all the great scans! I'm still waiting for blood results in post but it was a week since my scan so taking no news as good news. This will be my first week of letting the belly loose at work. I'm 14+1 now and it's too fat to hide anymore.

StarWish1 · 27/02/2017 18:12

Congratulations on all the scans Smile

MrsK8541 · 27/02/2017 18:50

Look at all these scans! Congratulations to all of you that have seen your babies!

Kskifred · 27/02/2017 19:52

I've got a big clot bruise where my blood test was taken this morning, really sore. My dates have been brought forward from 17th to the 12th so 12 weeks tomo Grin closer to sickness subsidence?!?

calimommy · 27/02/2017 20:03

To all those worried about their OH lack of interest, I've always found that DH isn't interested until the third trimester when there's a big bump and it's closer to arrival. I used to feel upset by it but I know now that it's just so different for them. For them nothing has changed except they have a designated driver now, so bottoms up! I don't even ask DH if he wants to come to the appointments. Sometimes he shows interest but usually he's too busy at work to get away. If there was a problem with me or baby I know he would kill himself to be there but otherwise there's no great need. He's a great dad, really is, but pregnancy just isn't the same for them, especially not at this stage where there's nothing to see. And he never really had any interest in feeling the kicks, I think he finds them weird. Don't let it get you down, I dont think that their pre baby behaviour indicates what kind of parent they will be. X

sherbertlemon17 · 27/02/2017 20:35

Wow! What a busy day with lots of beautiful scans! Congrats everyone!

Stressful day for me tomorrow as we've got Ofsted in Confused trying to not get too stressed as I know it won't do me or the the little bean any good. I think I'm all set though so it should be fine.

Just a quick question... has anyone here had a baby after cervical treatment for an abnormal smear? I had some laser treatment back in Feb to remove some dodgy cells and have read some info making me really worried about the length of my cervix now! My cervix length was completely fine with DD, but I'm worried this time I'd need a stitch Shock

sherbertlemon17 · 27/02/2017 20:36

Meant to say Feb 2015

MrsY87 · 27/02/2017 20:38

I'd agree with Cali my DH hasn't seemed that interested and he didn't with DD either until much later on. I think at the start they can't see you are pregnant so it's life as normal for them even if you are feeling awful!once we started buying things and he could do some research on which Pram had the best suspension (!) and he could see a big bump then he became much more interested. He is a great DD and so hands on with DD so I don't think their interest is really no reflection of how hey will be once baby arrives!

kep1979 · 27/02/2017 20:51

Sherbet I have had two lots of LLETZ due to dodgy cells, and nobody was worried about cervix length last time. I was told that unless you've had a cone biopsy or more then cervical length shouldn't be an issue. There may be scar tissue, but again they weren't concerned at all. I had a successful pregnancy post treatment, although didn't get past 7cms and had an emcs at 40+1 but that was nothing to do with my cervix and everything to do with an awkward positioned gigantic baby
