flymo I had carpal tunnel at the end of my pregnancy with my DS. It's horrible. Wearing wrist supports overnight helped a lot, so might be worth a try.

MrsY87 · 26/02/2017 07:41

Love the announcements Cali and charli! DH told his parents on Friday evening so we have now told a few other people too, starting to feel a bit more real now that other people know!

Kski I'm also up early with my DD, 5am this morning, so feel your pain! The tiredness definitely makes the morning sickness worse. Hope you have a quiet day planned and your DH can look after DS whilst you have a nap!

OkyDoke · 26/02/2017 07:57

Uhh went to bed with a bit of a headache, woken up with a horrendous one. Just taken two paracetamol and hoping to get another hour sleep. Hats off to all of you doing this with another little one (or more!).

Lules · 26/02/2017 08:31

I have my scan on the 14th march too! Obviously a popular day.

Still being sick which isn't great but it's manageable. Toddler is ill again though so not much sleep for me last night.

Gingerbreadmam · 26/02/2017 10:33

anyone playing the guessing game with the numb theory on your 12 week scans? i have just seen a very clear one.

obviously it is all just theory i dont know how true they are haha!

StarWish1 · 26/02/2017 10:57

Hi all,
Thought I'd pop back on and say hi after a few very anxious weeks around wk6-10. I had my 12 week scan last week which was great and actually moved by edd forward to 29th August but hope you don't mind if I stay on the September board?
Anyone else around 12/13 weeks without much of a bump? I have a very very small one which grows as the day goes on but think it's more bloat than baby. It is ny first and I know some people don't start showing until much later but it'd be lovely to have more of a bump.
Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday Smile

flymo79 · 26/02/2017 11:05

Thanks Ruth, I'll look into those.
Sorry for those feeling wretched, Flowers for you xxxx

Fluffywallow · 26/02/2017 11:19

Star I managed to hide my first easily until 15 weeks - different story this time round but don't worry if you have no bump with your first. You must have good stomach muscles!

I've looked at mine with nub and skull in mind ginger and would guess girl. We'll find out at an early gender scan next month Smile

StarWish1 · 26/02/2017 11:24

Thanks Fluffy.
Forget to say Ginger - I couldn't really see annie on my 12 week scan pics. Think I needed a pic slightly more zoomed out and also it kept moving around. Imthey also couldn't get the nuchal measurement so I need to have a blood test at 16 weeks.

StarWish1 · 26/02/2017 11:25

HellsBellsK · 26/02/2017 11:39

Morning Ladies,

Star at my scan they said I was further on then I was so just over 14 weeks instead of 13 now but for some reason over here they don't change your due date unless the dates have changed by 10 days so I am still 1st September.

Had an eventful night last night, we flew back from a few days away. When I got home i realised I left something in the car so out I went and I slipped went flying. I think my wrist, knee and head got most of the impact but my belly did make it onto the path.
I screamed for DH he came rushing out, I think I got more of a fright then anything. Rang the hospital and the Mid wife said baby will be okay, asked was my bump sore, was I bleeding etc answered no to all the questions so she was happy for me to stay at home and to go to bed.
Back in for bloods on tuesday so might just mention it again.

Hope everyones morning sickness eases off soon. My worst week was week 12 but now I am feeling good - fingers crossed it stays that way.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Travelgeek · 26/02/2017 12:11

Oh no hells that must have been very scary. Rest up and I'm sure all will be will. They are tucked right in there.

Fluffywallow · 26/02/2017 12:44

Oh no hells that must have been horrible. Rest up today, I bet you're a bit sore!

OkyDoke · 26/02/2017 13:36

Oh hells, how scary, hope youre feeling okay!

At my 12 week scan they did move my due date! Only by two days but im officially due 26th August now not 28th. Stars, if im welcome so are you!

Husband decided to take new job so no more weekends or lates in one month time! I secretly like having a day to myself at the weekend though, ive made tomato soup for lunches, crispy chilli beef for dinner when hes on lates and having stuffed peppers for lunch! Its all about the food lol. I am overweight so trying to follow slimming world! Ive put on 2lbs in whole pregnancy so far.

Dixiechick1991 · 26/02/2017 14:07

starwish im 13 weeks today & my tummy on s morning just has one small sticky out part but by the end of the day it's a a big bloated mess and I have to breathe in to actually see that rounded bit.
Can't wait to stop looking fat!

StarWish1 · 26/02/2017 16:22

Glad you're ok Hells

That's a lovely little bump Dixie - mine is much much smaller even when bloated. Because I haven't had many symptoms the whole way through and lots of cramps, I find it hard not to compare myself to others and feel like I'm not normal. But I know the 12 week scan was all positive so I should just stop worrying.

Londonexhile · 26/02/2017 19:14

Has anyone experienced bleeding after sex? We were just on the sofa chilling out and felt in the mood for the first time in 2 weeks...but afterwards...blood everywhere.

I don't think it was a lot of blood, just looked it, if that makes much sense? I spoke to 111 & the doctor that called back said to monitor with a sanitary towel & then head to the EPU tomorrow for a scan - they open at 8am so planning to be there on the doorstep!!

I think it's pretty much stopped now, but it's terrifying.

We had our 12 week scan on Friday which was amazing and showed everything ok - highs and lows of pregnancy hey!! I think my DH has just taken a vow to become a monk for the rest of this pregnancy....

Kskifred · 26/02/2017 19:24

This is a stupid question but are pregnancy ultrasounds generally done in maternity dpts or somewhere else? Looking up online my hospital says radiology dpt although that doesn't sound right. Or does it?! Only asking because with all the faff of not being on the system they called me Monday to say my scan was booked for tomo and letter will be sent out but i still haven't received letter which would tell me where to go Angry i don't even have the exact time i think she said 10 something so heading down at 9.30 so don't miss it but have no instruction/idea where to head. Getting pissed off with all the errors so far. No one answers the phone either.

Londonexhile · 26/02/2017 19:27

Ksk mine was x-ray department so it probably is radiology. I went to the reception & they pointed me in the right direction.

Travelgeek · 26/02/2017 20:09

Mine's in the maternity unit tomorrow ksk. From what I gather its a slightly separate wing and they have the Early preganacy assessment unit there, clinic, maternity ward.

Oh london, I'm sure everything will be ok. Must be scary though. I'm sure it doea just look like more than it is. Enough to put you off dtd though!

Lovely bump dixie. I cant decide if i just look a bit fatter or actually pregnant yet but I can't do my jeans up comfortably anymore!

MrsK8541 · 26/02/2017 20:46

Hi all, hope you've had good weekends.
london Hope things settle down by the morning, try not to worry.
i have another ultrasound question to add, have people found that appointments run on time or are they often late? I know circumstances each day and each place will differ but wondering a it general timings. I don't know whether to set cover work for my afternoon lessons on Thursday in case we have to wait a long time!
This feels like a waffley post tonight, sorry Blush

Heyitsholly · 26/02/2017 21:47

Mrsk i would plan cover. If your anything but the first app your bound to wait. Too many people that get double scanned if baby is not in position or baby is unwell which knocks them off track. Plus you dont want to be stressed to rush back in case they are late it would ruin your experience

Heyitsholly · 26/02/2017 21:48

Kskifred it depends on the hospital. Usially radiology. I would just ask at the main reception when you arrive

calimommy · 27/02/2017 03:31

london I had a significant post coital bleed around 8/9 weeks, and yeah it wasn't spotting it was a full on bleed, everywhere. But the blood was thin, fresh and without pain and stopped a short time after. I actually had a Pap smear a few weeks later and had zero bleeding. Don't worry, it's very common, I didn't even bother contacting my doc. You probably had a large thin-walled vessel right and the surface of your cervix. It might not happen again now that its broken. I didn't have any post c bleeding with my other pregnancies.

EssentialHummus · 27/02/2017 11:17

Had my 12 week scan this morning. Lots of wriggling from the little bean! Very relieved and now planning on telling parents (finally!).
