Ah Cali we are undecided this time whether to find out, we didn't last time but less patient now, i'm worried if we find out that we just wish we had waited?! We have DS already, so you found it good to know?

HellsBellsK · 24/02/2017 08:26

Just popping in to say a quick hello.. we are away at the moment so not really getting the chance to read back. Will do when we get home. Hospital rang me yesterday - I also did the panorama test. But have to go back and do it again, not enough of the babies dna in the sample. So the worry starts again, even though the nurse said don't worry about it. Morning sickness seem to have gone, but have the worst sore throat ever and I never get sore throats. Anything I can take? Have paracetamol but they didn't help at all😣 14weeks tomorrow!

ksk its such a personal thing really. We didn't find out the last two times and that was right for then but finding out this time felt right for this time. X

Londonexhile · 24/02/2017 12:09

In the waiting room for my scan now. Was I supposed to bring the maternity notes folder with me?! Useless & completely forgot. In a panic now!

lucylou1234 · 24/02/2017 12:15

Hi Guys,

Not been on this thread for a while so lost touch, so nice to see how youz are all getting on and seeing the lovely scan pictures:)

had my scan on wednesday which put me ahead of what i thought - measuring me at 13+3. Makes me 13+5 today and due date 27th August. Still convinced it wont be till september though :)

Is anyone on the facebook group that would be able to add me to it ?

oliversmummy26 · 24/02/2017 12:47

Oh Amz I'm so pleased you had a good scan and baby was moving about lots! We had lots of hand holding at the beginning, so I'm so happy for you!

Congrats to everyone else with lovely and positive scans, that's such great news..

Someone asked about fizzy drinks before the scan? Sorry I can't remember who now, but I think generally it's better if baby is moving about. With my DS they were unable to get the NT measurement as he wasn't playing ball and looked to be asleep and not bothered about moving into position. So sonographer sent me off for some caffeine and chocolate and a walk about..it still didn't help. So my downs result was taken from a blood test at 16 weeks only , which I think is far less accurate..

They will try to move baby about with the scanner, but it doesn't always work..

12 weeks tomorrow and scan on Monday morning, can't wait!

Pinkbottletop · 24/02/2017 13:20

Good luck Olivers

Had another early scan this morning as I had a bit of bleeding last night, but all is well! Just having a bit of a mare with my mother as she's throwing her toys out of the pram because I don't want to tell anyone the gender until the baby shower and reveal it then. She's angry because she doesn't want to find out when everyone else finds out rolls eyes but she's also got a big mouth.

MrsY87 · 24/02/2017 14:20

Had my scan this morning, measuring bang on 12 weeks so due date is 8 September. Was so relieved to know everything was ok even though I've already had 4 scans, it's going to seem like a long wait til the 20 week one now! Also got my harmony results back earlier in the week and all is good so suppose we will gradually start telling people now!

Nausea seems to finally be subsiding but tiredness is still here is force, looking forward to the glowing and full of energy second trimester! Grin

MrsY87 · 24/02/2017 14:21

Glad everyone else has had positive scans over the past few days too Smile

Amz26 · 24/02/2017 14:23

Thanks ladies I'm glad everyone's scan are going well!

oliversmummy26 Thanks Hun, I know so much handholding we did 😊 Good luck for your scan on Monday.. How you feeling about it? X xx

Fluffywallow · 24/02/2017 15:07

MrsY we're due date buddies! Measuring bang on 12 weeks today too.

calimommy · 24/02/2017 15:09

pink I find that, in general, mothers are never happy. Do what you want. X

MoominMama22 · 24/02/2017 15:16

Congratulations to everyone on lovely scans, and to those still in limbo BrewCake
I'm 9 weeks today.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 24/02/2017 15:53

My 4 yr old has just came up and poked my belly and said mummy is your tummy so big because you have eaten to much food then my 6 yr old said yeah you have eaten enough food to last you the rest of your life! Thanks kids lol. 12 +2

Travelgeek · 24/02/2017 16:12

Congratulations on all the lovely scans ladies. Makes me impatient for mine on Monday! I want the combined screening done so I can worry a bit less too.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all have nice weekend plans. Mine involve chinese takeaway tonight, dog walking in the rain (forecast for here is terrible) and maybe finally tidying up and hoovering the house. Ordinarily I'd think that a bit dull but I'm quite content with plenty of relaxing about at the moment.

Heyitsholly · 24/02/2017 16:23

Dont forget guys if you want to move over to the secret fb group then message your fb name and describe your display pic. Please note your fb setting need to allow everyone to add you as a friend instead of friends of

Kskifred · 24/02/2017 18:30

Lovely scans everyone. Roll on Monday!!

TotTickle · 24/02/2017 19:39

Evening all, been so busy with work, decorating and DS I haven't posted in a while. Having a rare bath - bliss! Would be even better with a glass of wine. Am off the scale tired today definitely an early night/snooze on the sofa. Also haven't had any nausea until today - it's lingered all day - don't know how those that have suffered daily have coped. I'm 10+5 and scan two weeks on Monday. Love hearing all the great news. Xx

calimommy · 24/02/2017 19:48

12 weeks today, scan 👍 feeling like a million bucks 😝
Happy weekend everyone x

Congrats Cali! It's such a good feeling isn't it?! You must be due date buddies with Fluffy and I!

Have people started to share the news now? A couple of friends and my family know but DH hasn't told his parents yet so don't really feel like I can until he has told his family. Before my scan I was so unsure about sharing the news however I'm suddenly feeling so much less anxious! The 12 week scan feels like a huge milestone!

Also Spoke to soon about feeing better, have spent the whole afternoon feeling sick and not knowing what I want to eat to help curb the nausea!
