I lived on plain buttered toast for a few weeks when i had bread cravings. Would kill for it now but no chance im leaving the house!

puttingourhoodupdown · 21/02/2017 21:20

Evening all, lovely to see the scans coming through! Mine is next Thursday, can't wait!

Today is DDs 3rd birthday, she's had the best day but I'm wiped....she's always been a 7.30/8.30am waker but since a cold last week it's been 5.30/6.30am....knackered Shock

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 21/02/2017 22:26

Finally saw baby, first scan at 11 weeks (or 13 by their crazy calculations).

I know how all of you awaiting scans are feeling, I've had this constant low anxiety for about 4 weeks now. But all is well! I think i can relax and be happy now, after all if baby made it to this point without event, or surveillance, no reason to think s/he won't continue to do so.

Hope all other people having scans today had a good experience too Flowers

Uny875 · 22/02/2017 08:24

Hello heyitsholly

I joined the thread in the beginning, but drifted away due to busy work schedule. 10 weeks now, due sept 18, counting days till the scan.

I have seen you mentioned FB group - is there any chance I could join it, really want to keep up with discussion here, think FB would be easier for me to acess. Thank you!

MoominMama22 · 22/02/2017 09:09

putting well done on the birthday party success! I'm knackered just thinking of it.

dontbeblue lovely scan! Why are their calculations crazy? I would be so pleased to be further along than I thought!
uny if you PM one of the admins, Holly is one, with your name they can add you to the page. Smile
Hope everyone has good days. I've been throwing up all morning and craving ice cold coke now (have none, of course!) but don't have to really do anything today hopefully, apart from entertain DD. Cbeebies nanny on right now Wink

I know geek I just like the idea of having lots of young kids careering around the place lol!! I'd probably regret it more often than not though, it's maybe not worth it for the brief spells of cuteness. I'm off on annual leave too this week but feeling pretty good - been to the gym today already and planning an active day while I still can!

flymo79 · 22/02/2017 12:50

I had also totally forgotten the grimness of early pregnancy, and this time round it seems to be dragging even more... 11 weeks on Friday, bring on the second trimester! I met a woman today who is 26 weeks pregnant with her third and didn't even know until she was 20 weeks! Yikes!

Pinkbottletop · 22/02/2017 14:03

uny we have the same stats!

littlepooch · 22/02/2017 15:00

Hello - had my 12 week scan yesterday! One bouncing baby looking good and due date of 2 Sept. Over the moon!

Amz26 · 22/02/2017 15:04

So happy to hear everyone is having lovely scan.. I've got my mine tomorrow 😊

I've been very quiet on here lately as I've been feeling down! Still haven't got my second lot of bloods back yet regarding my antibodies test! I know I have defo got some sort of issue but just need to find out what!

calimommy · 22/02/2017 15:14

flymo I often fantasised about not knowing until 12+ weeks, ideally 16 (😂) and just happening to be doing a 4month dry and taking extra vitamins that had folic acid in them... I hate hate hate the first trimester for basically everything about it. This is my 5th and I decided last pregnancy. It's the first time I've really felt like I never wanted to go through the 1st trim again. I had spotting on Sunday and got so depressed thinking I might loose the pregnancy and have to go through it all again (I really want a third baby). But hopefully all is well!! I ordered a Doppler and eagerly await its arrival, I've even had dreams about using it and feeling reassured!! Hahah

Expatwithoneontheway · 22/02/2017 15:23

Jumping on a bit late here... After spending the last 6 weeks googling everything that could go wrong in first trimester, I think it's high time I talk to people in the same boat.
I'm 11+4 now and so excited for my scan on Friday.

WhiteLily86 · 22/02/2017 16:43

We had a great first scan yesterday and saw the little one wriggling away (through my crazy tears of relief).

Phew, first stage of panic over, now for the next 40 years, as the midwife said.

Had to see the consultant for some previous heart issues that were thoroughly investigated last year, happy for time being, but she will keep in touch if I have any issues.

Also have to deal with my friends all assuming this is a boy, pointing out the 'willy' on the scan, there is no telling them that it is an arm 😂😂😂

Good luck all x

Hi everyone, I've been a bit quiet on here past few days as back to work and feeling rough in the evenings so have been reading the thread but that's it!

Glad I've managed a 'full' week at work (I only work half weeks), it's been mostly ok so I'm hoping the few hours sickness I'm having in the evening will also go soon...

Having the same scan anxiety that many of you have mentioned, and so pleased to see so many lovely scan photos coming through. It's such a milestone. Got ours on Friday, finally not that long away!!

Also pleased I've got to 12 weeks only putting on 3lbs (in comparison to a stone last time!)

I've got a hard bump that's v hard to hide - my waist has thickened by 2 inches since six weeks BlushGot a feeling I might get a huge bump this time around (I never got a very big bump last time).

Hope everyone is ok and welcome to new joiners.

MoominMama22 · 22/02/2017 16:48

Congratulations littlepooch and whitelily on your happy scans! Smile

Pinkbottletop · 22/02/2017 16:54

These scan pics are amazing, everyone!

Cali I used my doppler for the first time yesterday and it was just amazing.Took a while to find the heartbeat but it was so worth it when I found it.

Carolina80 · 23/02/2017 00:27

I'm thinking of getting a Doppler. To those that have them, what make are they? I don't want to waste money on one that won't work until the later stages.

puttingourhoodupdown · 23/02/2017 07:53

Morning all, oh the tiredness!! DD starting the day earlier and earlier at the mo and won't nap, I was in bed at 8.30 last night!!!

Kskifred · 23/02/2017 09:33

11 weeks today! Still feeling sick and bleurgh though, it had long gone by now in last pregnancy, but hopefully the end is near!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 23/02/2017 09:43

Extreme tiredness here too!! Must have had at least 8 hrs last night (taking into account the time I was awake in the night) - but I feel like I only had about 1hr!!! The thought of doing much more than showering today makes me want to burst into tears. If I attempted to take the dog for a walk in don't think I'd make it to the end of our road zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

On the plus side the nausea has eased ........ I'm just oh so tired!!! Roll on 2nd trimester!!

9 + 5 today

MrsK8541 · 23/02/2017 10:13

So close to 11 weeks. My nausea has eased and my boobs don't hurt anymore Confused I have a UTI but the pain I'm getting really low down is freaking me out. I've seen baby and heard heartbeat at 10 weeks ... What are the chances that all has gone wrong in the last week? 12 week scan is a week today and I know this next week is going to be absolute hell.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 23/02/2017 10:17

10+2 here, scan two weeks today. I got up for a wee four times last night and I'm knackered. My OH is away for a couple of days so I'm just feeling needy and sulky and resenting being in work today.

Almost the weekend, another round of excuses for why I can't get shitfaced and my OH having to drink all of his own drinks and stealthily drink all of mine as well! Grin for a former booze hound, wondering round with a glass of wine and not being allowed to take a sip is like some sick form of water torture!

oliversmummy26 · 23/02/2017 10:53

Gorgeous scan pics and so pleased all these babies are doing well Smile are you telling people now or waiting for screening results if you're having them?

11+5 today, and 12 week scan on Monday, can't wait despite having had scans already this pregnancy, the 12 week feels like a real milestone and an "official" scan if you see what I mean?

Feeling lots better on the nausea front, but exhausted by 8pm, I have more energy during the day and have managed to cook tea the last two days for the family, but after than just slump on the sofa. Asleep by 9.30pm last night (I'm usually up until gone midnight!) and getting up for a wee in the middle of the night is becoming a pain, though not likely to stop any time soon!

Had my bloods taken by a nurse yesterday at the surgery, she said I was the 4th person she'd seen that day as the midwife couldn't take bloods. Surely then the midwife shouldn't be taking our bloods!? Feeling more and more like my MW is a bit pants..

oliversmummy26 · 23/02/2017 11:24

Just remembered I dreamt last night that I felt the baby moving...really moving, like 30 weeks + when they're punching you in the ribs and turning over, it was awesome Smile

sugarplumfairy2010 · 23/02/2017 12:52

Had 12 week scan this morning everything looks great cant wait for screening results back so i can start to relax. Due date is the 6th september which is the day after my sons birthday i hope baby doesn't arrive the same day. X
