third that re pillow, I got a lot of use out it and will purchase another one this time around

SpringSpringSpring · 19/02/2017 20:35

Can I ask how you use a pregnancy pillow for at this stage? Just wondering whether I should be looking at one Smile

Fluffywallow · 19/02/2017 20:38

I didn't start using one until later on with my DD (probably about 20 weeks) but I'm feeling a bump quicker this time so am preparing for it to happen sooner - I'm a stomach sleeper so found having something wedged under my bump stopped me trying to roll onto my front in my sleep. It also stopped my bump feeling as much pressure on it when I was lying on my side. Although I only used a normal pillow last time it was a sanity saver as it meant I could sleep.

For all those struggling with dry skin, give this a try. It's Neutrogena's new hydro boost range for dry skin and honestly it's saved my face! I use it before bed and first thing in the morning, only 12.99 too so not too pricey 😊

I struggled with my hips so having it between my legs and supporting my bump helped me sleep more comfortably

Heyitsholly · 20/02/2017 08:50

Eurgh i so cant be bothered with today. Ive been really fed up for the last few days. Im finding it really hard to shake.
Plus my booking app was cancelled for the second time yesterday so fed up that its getting late for them to book my scan 👎🏻
Decided to tell work today. They are putting pressure on me as my reports 2 out of 65 werent good enough. Sigh sigh sigh

Hope everyone has a better monday and is feeling more positive
9+1

roobois · 20/02/2017 08:50

Oh my god I'm so tired today, really considering taking a sickie but then feeling the guilt.

I hear ya roobois. I am still in bed reading work emails knowing I need to get up and get into the office for meetings this afternoon.

londonfeather · 20/02/2017 10:24

Just had my booking in appointment with a really nice midwife and trainee midwife - made me feel really excited about everything! Though the trainee midwife butchered my arms trying to get blood - it still stings! Heading into work today for a busy day and I'm just not feeling like it at all. Want to google baby items all day instead, lol!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 20/02/2017 10:32

I'm off to Aldi after reading this thread.

I'm a bugger for sleeping starfish on my front though - is that dangerous at this stage? Still living on beige food at the moment. :( 9+6

I'm starting to get a bit of energy back at 10 weeks exactly today. Not sure how long it will last. But waking up isn't hurting so bad now! However, baby brain has killed my memory lately. Really struggling to recall words lately. Anyone else?

Has anyone used the deals from Baby Club? Basically you buy something they send you an alert on and they refund the money back into your account? Seems a bit sketchy to me, but if someone else here has used it then happy to try.

MoominMama22 · 20/02/2017 12:12

Hello 👋. Can I join you? I haven't read up on this thread yet, with puking and running around after a toddler I will struggle to catch up but I can try to keep up now I'm here!
I'm due 29th September (have had a couple of early scans already due to predicted ectopic but all ok) I joined a mums net group with my first pregnancy (dd now 22 months) and we are all still in touch and it's been invaluable, so I have high hopes for finding a lovely group of women to moan and laugh with! Looking forward to getting to know you, M xxx

WhatwouldRuthdo · 20/02/2017 12:24

Had my scan this morning and turns out I'm slightly further ahead than I thought - 13+1 so due date of 27th August. I'm bound to be late though so hang around and be a bit of an imposter on the September board Wink All looks good so far, just need to wait for th blood results.

MrsK8541 · 20/02/2017 15:02

Congratulations on our scan ruth!

Had a baby brain moment today and arrived 40 minutes late for my flu jab thinking it was at 12:45 rather than 12:05 Blush. Instead popped into the village to buy some wool to start knitting blanket!

oliversmummy26 · 20/02/2017 15:18

MrsK I turned up at my MW appointment 2 hours early today - I think I'm losing it already!

MrsK8541 · 20/02/2017 15:23

Grin Haha! olivers clearly growing a baby interferes with ability to tell the time and remember appointments!

Pinkbottletop · 20/02/2017 15:40

Congras Ruth - and yes, still a September mummy regardless.

calimommy · 20/02/2017 15:41

Don't worry frilly 😝 you won't be able to sleep on your tummy for a while so get it in now. Once it gets uncomfortable then it's time to find a new position. Right now it's tiny though 👍 maybe you can get one of those air mattresses with holes for the bump so you can sleep on your tummy.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 20/02/2017 15:48

Thanks everyone! I firmly believe in baby brain and will use it as an excuse for forgetfulness for at least the next year. Oh and welcome to the board Moomin

Frillyhorseyknickers · 20/02/2017 16:29

calimommy air mattress what - is that a thing?! I'm such a tummy sleeper that is my biggest concern right now (that and the gas, this week I've been farting for England).

I did the Melton Hunt Club Ride yesterday and my DH is well and truly putting his foot down with the horses now so it's steady pottering around the place and no jumping until I've calved Grin Hmm

calimommy · 20/02/2017 16:32

frilly I'm not sure how comfortable it is...

Got sent home from work today as feeling shite, only work mon - tues and just had a call from midwife...finally got apps sorted, booking in tomo and scan on monday...considering how little i work my appointments always fall on work days i find it so embarrassing!

oliversmummy26 · 20/02/2017 17:12

Just checking in after an eventful weekend and Monday. Woke up to a big bleed yesterday morning DH and I managed to find a private clinic open on a Sunday who saw us and baby was fine, no reason for bleed. Carried on spotting all yesterday and last night and has gone brown and seems to have tailed off today. We think it was dtd which triggered it, so holding off on that for a while at least.

MW today for bloods but useless midwife couldn't get any out of me. So have to see a nurse on Wednesday and hope that bloodwork will get done in time for my 12 week scan on Monday 27th...7 sleeps...

I am sure baby is still fine in there, despite the further spotting yesterday as highly unlikely anything will have happened in those few hours since seeing the little bean. I think we have a fighter on our hands! Smile

EssentialHummus · 20/02/2017 17:28

olivers that all sounds incredibly stressful, glad you and bean are OK. I also have my 12 week scan on the 27th, counting down the days....

Fluffywallow · 20/02/2017 17:57

Frilly I'm the same with tummy sleeping - it stressed me out last time but you'll know (or your body will know) when it's time to stop. I remember to this day how amazing it was once I'd had my DD and I could sleep on my front again (except for my boobs hurting but that's another story!)

Oliver glad everything's ok with baby, it's so stressful isn't it.

Scan on Friday. Getting there slowly but surely! 11+ 3 today.
